This is the perfect place to stay in Houston for a quick business trip as it is conveniently located right off the Sam Houston Tollway on Westheimer. The beds are pretty comfortable for a hotel in this price category. It has a mini gym which is more than adequate for a easy work out away from home for the average person. The food pantry is also well stocked and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. For the price point and the targeted market, this place meets the objective and even performs places priced higher.

*Please note, I only stayed here one [Saturday] night* I was seeking a decent hotel in a nice location with affordable rates, I was definitely impressed by Candlewood Suites on Westheimer. Once inside the hotel, I was relieved to see that it was clean(not to mention, quiet) and pleased the front desk greeted with a smile. As I walked down the hallway to the room, I noticed all the food you could purchase to place in your room along with the fitness and laudry room — I made a note to myself that if I needed to stay somewhere long-term Candlewood would definitely be considered. Upon entering the room, I was even more so impressed. Definitely cozy, a nice size kitchenette, an extremely comfortable bed. Overall, great location, great rates, and great experience — would recommend.

First off, I really like Candlewood Suites and their concept. mini-suites with kitchenettes(dishes included), pantry to purchase food using an honesty system, DVD players, decent fitness room and FREE washer/dryers!!! All at a very affordable price. So please do not let this review reflect the chain. It’s sad to say this but what I didn’t like about this location was that it was only 5 months old, which in most cases should be an attribute. The problem was that they werent ready to provide the service they should of. First there is NO signage. You’ll easy pass this place a couple of times, and I had my reliable iPhone for additional guidance. Tip, get decent signage! Second, as I walked to my room they still had blue masking tape around the doors from painting. It stayed there two of the three days of my stay. I always thought you were supposed to remove the tape right after painting??? But anyways, they must of also been doing ceiling panel work because there was dust, dirt, and insulation bunny’s all over the carpet which remained through out the visit, I even took pictures. Where there no vacuums? And to me this was the worst part. On the second night of my stay, at about 4:30am, someone using the traditional plastic room key tried to open my door. Now mind you this place was new with maybe three cars in the parking lot, so they couldn’t of been overbooked. And if it was an employee wouldn’t they know who was staying in what room? I found it real suspect and I was very fortunate that I put the deadlock and addition thing on that night otherwise they would have walked right in. Note, at any hotel utilize all the security features!!! Now, on a positive note they did have 40in LCDTV’s in the room WITH hi-def, so that was nice, but my feeling is don’t open till your ready to do business properly. I know you want to get that bad boy open, but you wont be able to stay open when you offer sub par service.
