Champions Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

We moved to this area and found our new dentist and ortho and won’t go anywhere else! My son got his braces, and everyone was great, Tiffany in the office was wonderful with our insurance and cafeteria plan, to make it work for us. The office is SUPER clean (we went somewhere else first and it wasn’t, no way am I letting peeps put their hands in our mouths if there is dust on the equipment, yuck) and the hygenists are super gentle. Dr. Picai was fast and efficient and very nice. We won’t go anywhere else. :)

I’ve never been a fan of going to the dentist. In fact, I’ve pretty much avoided it like the plague — despite those two times a year I force myself in for a cleaning. Thankfully, this office is not only top-​notch in terms of customer service and patient care but it’s tech-​savvy and modern. The front office staff is always so friendly and Dr. Pickei’s bedside manner is unmatched. And I love that I can always watch my favorite Food Network shows from my chair! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dentist in North Houston.

I began treatment at another facility, but discontinued it because they fast tracked everything (possibly because they felt like time was of the essence) and I found myself in pain on both sides of my mouth for a two week period. (It’s not okay when you can’t chew on either side of your mouth.) Also, it looked like they weren’t as careful as they needed to be about applying my dental discount plan.
However, at Champions Modern Dentistry they took the time to explain EVERYTHING. The dentist, Dr. Pickei, took his time during and after the exam. He was careful not to hurt me and was methodical and thorough explaining everything he saw and the «why» behind the treatment recommendations. Bree, the assistant, was excellent as were the ladies in the front, Tiffany and Rachel. They even caught a mistake in the charges and corrected them immediately without me having to say anything.
I am now looking forward to getting the necessary work done and I no longer feel like I may end up suffering unnecessarily or that I will be overcharged in the process.

Went in this morning for a deep scaling and root planing, OUCH! Luckily, my wife prepped the staff for my SEVERE dental anxiety/​fear, and I had the best dental visit I’ve had in years. Tiffany was great getting me checked in and comfortable, and her colleague (sorry forgot your name) was just as courteous and kind. Kelli performed the scaling, and made sure I was numb throughout. Dr. Pickei made sure the local anesthetic kicked in before administering 4 (I think) shots. These were the most painless shots I’ve ever had. I remained 99.9% numb throughout the cleaning, and Kelli cleaned every nook and cranny. The anesthetics have worn off, and my mouth feels clean with very little soreness. Kelli definitely delivered on her promise to be gentle, and now, after years of fearful avoidance, I have a dental office that I feel comfortable going to.

Everyone is the office is extremely professional and caring. I felt completely satisfied with my cleaning and treatment and highly recommend them.

Dentist Pickei takes his time to get to know you and explain any questions you have. The staff is super kind !!! I felt super comfortable coming here as a new patient. Also, the facility is super clean and modern. Overall, I loved my experience.

I have never been to a dentist office that made me feel so comfortable. The staff was so down-​to-​earth and personable. Dr. Sage came to meet me in the waiting area himself instead of an assistant. I’ve never had a dentist do that before. I have had terrible issues with my teeth and I have procrastinated to have them fixed because of my past experiences of feeling judged in a dental office. I did not feel that way @ Champions Modern Dental at all. They made sure that my comfort came first, even down to Megan offering me a blanket because I was cold (also a first for me). They spent several hours working on my teeth and I never noticed how long I had been there because they have personal televisions in each room which helped the time pass as well as kept me relaxed. I will tell EVERYONE about Dr. sage and Megan and Champions Modern Dentistry! I won’t look for another dentist as long as this business is in operation. A real class act!
2^nd visit– I went in for a second time. I was nervous because I needed to have extractions of three teeth. Not only did I not feel anything, but Dr. Sage pulled three teeth in less than 15 minutes. He is very very good and Trie was very kind and knowledgable. She helped me feel comfortable and was very detailed about the after care for my teeth. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I cannot brag enough!

First of all, I’ve managed skipping out on a dentist visit for at least the last 6 – 8 years. I know, shame on me but kudos to me for picking this dentist office to get me back into shape.
Champions Modern Dentistry is very clean and modern with upgraded equipment and patient rooms. The staff is great… from the receptionists that made my appointment (and put up with me calling twice to attempt to reschedule) to the assistant that took my xrays to the Dentist that met with me initially to discuss issues and concerns to the staff that scheduled my next appointment.
I absolutely love that I could feel out my initial paperwork online prior to my visit because it saves so much time. I also like that I was able to view my xrays as they were happening even though there were a few uncomfortable positions. If I recall correctly, xrays are never all that fun. I agree with the other reviewer (Marcela) Magan was great!
The personal TVs in the patient rooms are a nice touch because you barely notice the wait if you find something good to watch… beats counting the minutes. My wait was that long and the evaluation was quick yet detailed. My suggested long term plan included some extra treatment. They offered options to cover the financial side of the treatments which wasn’t needed at the time but it was good to know. I never once felt like they were trying to push additional treatments or get more money out of me.
All in all, I was very satisfied with their service and office as a whole and look forward to making regular trips to my new dentist.

I went today to this amazing dentist office! My appointment was at 1:00pm. The front office staff were so nice and friendly, like I think everyone else I get a little bit nervous when I go to the dentist but since the beginning I felt security! Magan (dental assistant/​xray tech I think) was so nice and friendly, she explained everything and let me look at my X-​rays! Since the moment I got there to the very end I felt like never in a dentist office! They even have tv in the rooms to watch whatever you want while the dr comes (this is good if you have kids to ease anxiety and tension, even for us adults)! I am so happy with this place I’m coming back to this office! They are so professional and friendly!!! Love it!!! Love it!!! Love it!!!

They are amazing. I was just leaving the military. I had a dental emergency and that it’s self was covered but everything else was left out. Well I couldn’t walk around without a front tooth they worked with me and gave me a DISCOUNT of what the insurance would normally pay. The staff is just amazing so nice and the facility’s are spotless. They got me in the morning I called I’m just in awe with the service I received here. My family and I will not go anywhere else
