CMK (Wojciech Kic, Stephanie Crawford, and Larry McDowell) managed my property for 5 years and it was the worst mistake I ever made. My house was in good condition when I turned it over to them– I even updated it to make it a more appealing rental property. When I took back the property it needed more than $ 5000 to put it back as it was. The worst part of it was the mishandling of the tenant’s deposit. They paid over $ 400 for a company to clean the house on multiple occasions, but when I saw it I was amazed at how filthy it was. They lied to me when they said it was in good condition– there was urine in the toilet! Who would want to rent from them when it’s obvious they can’t even be bothered to flush they toilet? They had turned my home into a slum and were intent on running it as such. They failed to do a move out inspection! Wojciech lied to me and told me they would go after the tenant for damages, their lawyer later said they don’t do that. They knew about an unauthorized pit bull on the property (damaging all sorts of things) but did NOTHING until I came to town and made the discovery. Did they make me aware of broken appliances? No. Did they ignore my repeated questions for weeks? Yes. Did they fail to enforce the lease? Absolutely. I can’t tell you how many notices I got from my homeowner’s association about the unkempt yard. I requested they take out a lawn service and take the money from the tenant’s rent. They refused. Finally I demanded it and Wojciech lied and said he would do it. He never did and I had to have a family friend let me know when the lawn got bad. I even felt the need to tape record conversations to protect myself from these shady people. I should have fired them long before I did. Stay away from this company!
