Great location and friendly people. Love that place! I went looking for a unique key, the associated work very hard to find alternatives.

Never again would I go to this store. Did not want to return a new knife because of no box. I would stay with the big names store’s from now on. Just got a call from ace customer service the manager said I was rude how is it me telling the employee the truth about me never shopping at in ace being rude. It funny how one store can make the corporation loss thousands of dollars over 1 item

We had been costumers for more than 8 years. When the store grew the Post Office section costumer care declined. I have got a scolding for not presenting the right slip where there were none of the ones I was supposed to pick from, an unsolicited lecture on shipping flat rate or a snappy remark over stating price over code when buying 6 cardboard boxes. As someone bringing in business the feeling I get is that I’m inconveniencing those two guys there. The USPS Post Office close to Willowbrook accepts credit cards, the staff is very friendly and is OK to ask questions all questions needed for shipping. So better leave those two guys of Ace Jones Rd. alone.
Some of the older men working the store seem to have a bias against women asking for stuff to do home repairs. Seems they are unable to hear or understand if there is a hint of a foreign accent or not using the precise terminology to describe an item or procedure. I’m a recent widow and I do not need more rubbing in that I am on my own fixing stuff my husband always did. I might have an accent but I am not an idiot.
The return policy sucks… much Americana stuff and 2^nd. Amendment Pride but when comes to giving an in store credit for 10 dlls when the ticket has been lost yet the bar code is there showing those boxes came from the store they will tell the client that is their way or the highway. Maybe if I had been a male I´d had gotten a different treatment. Since my husband died this store is increasingly a place to avoid.

This is strictly based on their Postal Service section! First visit here and looking to ship off packages. The outside of their building Postal Service signage is on the Right side of front door. Why wouldn’t that service area be on the SAME side? Makes no sense! Not only that… This Postal service does NOT accept Credit!!! Only Cash or Check! What a waste of my trip there! Anyhow, the older man working there is very friendly and talkative. I’ll have to remember next time it’s cash only! Who carries cash anyways? ;)

Went to this location to get a chip key made for my vehicle.
Walked in and proceeded to go to the key counter. They had to call for a customer service rep to come to the counter to assist me in cutting and programming my chip key. CSR came shortly after and the process started.
Process took less than fifteen minutes and the chip key worked in my vehicle without a problem. In addition, the chip key was ten dollars cheaper than at the Ace hardware I was sent from.
All in all a very good and easy experience at this particular ace hardware location.

This is actually a pretty good Hardware store. They’ve improved upon it over the past year.
Though a little more expensive than Home Depot or Lowes, they do offer a good variety of hardware and home-​related items to choose from.
And they are a lot closer to home for me.
The main thing I like about them is that you can actually find someone to help you! At Home Depot or Lowes, good luck in finding anyone at all to help you at all.
Most of the customer service reps are very nice.
I also like the fact that the management hires teens and/​or high school kids. This is a great way for them to learn about customer service as a first job.

I admit to doing most of my hardware shopping at Home Depot. But this is the store that you go to when you need to talk to the Old Man. You know the guy — stooped over a bit, not as spry as he used to be – but he was fixing plumbing puzzles before you were born. He knows the tricks that the whippersnappers at HD haven’t even learned yet. And this Ace has those parts that work in your older house. Yes, the store is somewhat older and disorganized, and the prices are not always the best (though the part I needed on this visit was cheaper than Amazon’s best price), but these are the stores we cannot do without. Swing by, get that thing you need, browse the aisles — and pay homage.

Wow this place has everything.. home aid fudge counter, beef jerky, beer, horse supplies, dog food and much much more.. When we went on saturday they were featuring a bunch of local venders different thing we bought some dressing that you can also marinade with.. Just had the best tasting fajitas ever! Great customer service very hands on and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely go here instead of anywhere else.

I took a propane tank here for a refill because they had a coupon in this last weeks mailer.
The guy filled the tank without any issue until he was done when he told me that the tank’s certification had expired and that I could buy a new tank for $ 50. This must have worked in the past because he looked shocked when I said I want my tank back. Then he tried to sell me on a $ 25 tank. Needless to say I will not be returning to this Ace again.

Great little neighborhood store, near 1960 on Jones. Voted Cypress Business of the Year. I’m always asked by more than one person if I need help and the workers seem happy to do so.
They have a lot of seasonal items and gifts here too. Candles, bric a brac, Poo-​Pourri, BBQ items including sauce and smoking wood chips, wellies, flip-flops…there’s something here for everyone, and there is a little bit of everything here. Strange collection of sodas and beer towards the front of the store which give the place and old timey feel.
There’s a post office in the back. Huzzah!

This Cypress Ace is a great neighborhood hardware store, and my go to store to bring DIY projects to life. I always encounter great service, and get asked several times per visit if I need help. When I ask about hanging things on walls, painting furniture, etc they always know what I need to make it happen. I’ve returned several things hassle free, as well. Great, local country store-​feel!

Place is ok. Has an old timey country-​store/​general store feel to it. You can walk in, buy a chainsaw, fertilizer, some beer, and have a bitchin’ weekend because we live in ‘Murica! I bought my Honda weed wacker here. If you’re a Honda-​phile, there’s also a great selection of Honda lawnmowers, Honda generators, and Honda tillers too.

Been going here on and off for 19 years. Since I been living in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. They also repair my weedeater and I get my generator serviced here. Keep up the good work.

This is my go-​to spot for anything I need for the lawn. Well, my brother’s lawn, I help him take care of it and everything we need is always here and for a good cost. Get my keys made when I change my door locks from crazy stalker-​women, get tools for when i need to fix my panic room doors in my apartment-​mansion, stuff like that. Oh, & if you need animal feed for when you’re hosting a holiday dinner party this is your place!
More than that, if there’s anything i need i can get it here, for lower than competitor prices and then some. Catch em’ on a good day & you can get a free bag of popcorn here. Most of their heavy duty drills and saws are sold by a knowledgeable staff. No rip-​offs or time wasting talks here, they get to the point while helping you get from point A to point Z.

The contrast to the big-​box home improvement stores is quite dramatic. While I still go to Lowes for some things, I prefer to go here for anything I know I can get. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Don’t let the size fool you, just because it’s not big and orange on the outside and you don’t have to use a Garmin GPS navigator to find wood screws doesn’t mean it isn’t packed with a variety of useful stuff. Stuff. Stuff is what we are all measured on, those of us who have good stuff are proven in life. But I wander off. Recently I put fertilizer down and cleaned the excess off the sidewalk, but forgot to to the front door walkway. Of course, since it was a high-​iron fertilizer, I immediately had rust stains on the sidewalk after a rain storm. I went to Ace to find a cleaner that would not be toxic to the grass or plants. Unfortunately they didn’t have any, but the guy who helped went and consulted with another person and came back with a «recipe» for using laundry detergent on the concrete which greatly lessened the stain when I tried it. And BTW, none of the big-​box stores appeared to have it but no one who worked there actually know. «Hardware and Feed» is their name, but I haven’t had to buy feed for my cattle. Probably because I don’t have any cattle. That could be it. But I’ve gotten lots of other home repair and improvement stuff here and have been very pleased.

Since this isthe closest feed store to our house, I have been buying feed there for about a year. This place is ridiculous… My daughter changed the kind of feed for our horse and I didn’t remember which one it was, so I bought 2 kinds. I returned 8 days later to exchange the feed for the right kind and was told they could not do it after 7 days. Some guy presented himself to explain to me the feed is contaminated… and they can’t sell it. He went on to explain that the metal building they keep the feed in Is a controlled environment. Ironic as it is raining and the door was wide open the whole time I was there… Shocked that the feed I had would have become contaminated from the 7^th to 8 th day, I dare not keep it or give it to someone for the fear it is contaminated.
This place is terrible.
I spoke to Purina, they say there is a satisfaction guarantee within 30 days and it should be able to be returned to the dealer.

I’ll admit I am already a big fan of hardware stores in general. My husband and I can walk around for hours looking at all the many projects that we could be doing and dreaming. That said this place is fantastic. True the ailes are a little small, so if you aren’t going to pick up something big you don’t want to try and take a basket, but other than that its fantastic. There are so many things in there, from Texas memorabilia, to water decorations for your lawn, they have wind chimes that are perfectly tuned and actually play different types of music. They have all the usual stuff like paint and tools of course. They will sharpen your knives or scissors or make you a key. I don’t think there is any reason I wouldn’t go, even if I just wanted a deal on spices for grilling meat.
