Specialties
Chloe Dao boutique, formerly LOT 8, is one of Houston’s première shops located in the Rice Village shopping district. Our philosophy is service with openness, warmth and charm and to make every customer feel as if they are shopping with a trusted «girlfriend.»
A fashion designation for locals and visitors, the boutique offers the exclusive Chloe Dao’s ready to wear and bridal collections. While clients shop Dao’s collections, they can discover up and coming local designers such as {Temple Street} by AnaMae Holmes. Chloe also carefully curates the shop with a mix of affordable sportswear, cocktail dresses, evening wear and accessories to complement her eponymous collection. We dress women for all occasions from casual or formal.
History
Established in 2000.
The boutique opened its doors in 2000 as LOT 8 boutique. In 2011, the store re-branded and re-established itself to a newly renovated DAO Chloe DAO boutique.
Meet the Business Owner
Chloe D.
Business Owner
Chloe Dao’s Project Runway, Season 2 win catapulted Chloe into international fame as the immigrant designer living out her American dream.
As a designer, Chloe combines sophistication, style and ease into beautiful evening wear and sportswear. Noted several times on Project Runway, her understanding of the woman’s body allows her to hide flaws and flatter women in all her designs. DCD is lovingly made in her hometown Houston, TX.
Integrated into her design and business philosophy is her commitment to giving back to the community. Chloe serves on the Fashion advisory boards at Houston Community College and The Art Institute. She annually designs a limited edition collectable silk scarf for breast cancer survivors of Zeta Tau Alpha and their Think Pink Foundation. Chloe also hosts several benefit shopping events at her boutique for not-for-profit organizations such as Dress for Success, Community Cloths, and TUTS. In the works are projects with the Houston Grand Opera and the MFAH.
