History

Established in 1995.

Sara Brook founded Dessert Gallery – her third successful dessert business and her favorite – to provide Houstonians with delicious, decadent, down-home desserts.

Meet the Business Owner

Sara B.

Business Owner

At the age of 21, Sara Brook launched her first dessert business, and hasn’t looked back since. In 1992, she sold her chocolate sauce company – «The Great Chocolate Cover Up” – and used the proceeds from the sale to open Dessert Gallery.

More than 25 years in business have only strengthened Sara’s conviction that truly delicious desserts bring people together, help create sweet memories, and make the world a better place. She’s shared her love of chocolate and her passion for entrepreneurship with a diverse range of communities, from the Girl Scouts of America (who will start the woman-owned businesses of the future!) to Prison Entrepreneurship Project participants to Rice University MBA students.

You can usually find Sara at the Dessert Gallery World Headquarters, taste-testing new products or drooling over one of her favorite cupcake blogs.

Sara B. says,

«A warm piece of Bud’s Chocolate Chip Pie is worth the trip to Round Top: melty chocolate chips, gooey pie filling, and rich pecan chunks.»
