Discount Tire Store – Houston, TX

Very unprofessional. One of my tires’ stud was stripped by a tech and not a single worker bothered to tell me until I noticed a nut was missing a couple days later. Yes, that’s my fault for not noticing right before I left, BUT even discount tire could not repair the issue themselves. They are paying for the repair; however, I now have to go out of my way to an independent repair shop on Ella & 610.

How can one not get tired of a tire place? Well, the first thing one might notice is if compared to it’s competitors like NTB, Pep Boys, Firestone etc, they always seem to come out the least expensive. If your size is not available they are linked to each other and are able to get them delivered to the place where you are at within a few hours.
This particular store is set back a little from I 45 North Freeway surrounded by a good choice of stores to shop at while you are waiting. There is a Best Buy on the right, Main-​ly Sandwiches and a Taqueria next door, Starbucks at the front of it and a Walmart within walking distance so a little wait can be entertained by the surroundings. Coffee, bottled water and about 10 seats are available as well.
The attitude and service here are what I would describe where you would even send your own mother too. Exceptionally courteous, informative and prompt on any questions and concerns that you might have.
Rims are also sold here for cars and trucks, come in or shop online to get what style suits you.

I think my wife and I have been using Discount Tire since 2009 and I have to say I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of service. We usually buy from the location and the guys here are very attentive to the customer. With tires like anything else of value, you going to pay a bit, but after calling several different places these guys had the lowest price even said they would price match another dealer. I’ve dealt with both Juan and Dustin in the past and both made the process go smoothly without making you feeling of condescension or pushiness I’ve experience at other places. I arrived at 4pm on a Friday afternoon to have 2 tires replaced. As usual for Discount Tire there was a line so I waited patiently for my turn. Luke assisted me.
It was hot… fry an egg on the sidewalk hot… but Luke and I went outside to do the quick inspection, then he proceeded to assist w/​my purchase.
After settling on a tire, ringing it up, and waiting almost an hour (it was really busy), Luke was informed their location didn’t have my choice of tire in stock, however, there was a slight upgrade available so he upgraded at no additional cost or hassle.
Discount Tire has its challenges with flow control– getting customers in and out quickly– BUT they provide some of the best service in the industry. For that reason I remain a loyal customer.

Excellent service. I have never written a review before, but thought it was necessary this time. I had a bolt in my tire, brought it in, and they patched it for free and quickly. They didn’t try to push unnecessary services on me, which made me happy to ask for advice on services I may need. Also, they got very busy while I was there and handled every customer with patience, and politely. I will definitely go back.

So far the couple if times I’ve been here they have given me A+ service. I think what I paid for a set of tires was reasonable but mainly I’m happy with the service given at discount. I purchased the warranty and when I did have an issue with that specific tire they went ahead and gave me a brand new tire. It does get a bit busy in the afternoon but the morning was a breeze.
