Business Owner

Sheri Davidson, a native Houstonian, began her Traditional Chinese Medical studies in 2000 at the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Houston, Texas. In 2001 she moved to Austin, Texas to continue her studies at the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. After 4 years of didactic studies in Acupuncture and Moxibustion training, Chinese herbology, Taichi and Qigong, Oriental nutrition, Biomedical sciences and Clinical training experience of more than 1,000 hours, she attended a six-​week internship at the Cheng Du University in Cheng Du, China where she completed her education from the traditional masters.

She holds a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. A nationally accredited school of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).

I been to sheri when she first opened and then earlier this year, what I do not like about her is everytime I went she double books — I understand there are times you have done the cupping and have time to work on someone else but both the times I was there she booked herself in a way that she «forgot» about me, last time I went (april) for cupping she had another customer and forgot about me for so long that I had painful watermarks and the marks are STILL not gone!!! I will NOT recommend her just for that, you can’t be soooo involved in getting as many customers as possible in the one hour that you forget and cause pain to your customers. I was told the marks will be gone in a cpl days, but after months the brown spots are still there and look really bad!!!

I’ve only been to 2 acupuncturists in my lifetime before coming to see Sheri, but I have to say I she’s top notch!!!
I really really enjoyed my visit today!
Sheri has this calming presence that immediately relaxes you and she’s so very personable. The waiting room feels like you’re visiting a friend’s house, just cozy and comfortable.
During my consultation, she was very attentive in listening to my concerns and she asked where I was feeling pain and off she went with the info and began to start the treatment. It was so relaxing to lay in the treatment room. I felt like I was at a cute spa. Made me want to just stay there and just nap for a few hours: P
I’m sad that I just now found Sheri as I am going to be moving shortly.
But I highly recommend her and her treatment process. Very professional and inviting. Hopefully I can get an appointment in the next time I’m back in town.
I just finished my treatment a little while ago, so as for the results, we will have to wait and see.
Another great thing about Sheri is that she doesn’t push any «sales pitches» which I really appreciated.
She let’s you completely relax and gives you the information you need and from there you can decide what you want. She gave advice but never threw anything like a treatment plan to sell me on more visits.
Just that in itself makes me love this place even more! Sheri truly cares about your well being and not just about making $$$. That’s so rare nowadays.
Sheri is a true gem in the world of acupuncture!!! YOU MUST GO and experience it for yourself!

I’ve been going to acupuncture regularly for about 8 years in New York
for preventative care, acute pain and stress relief.

Without a doubt i HIGHLY RECOMMEND her!
needed to find an acupuncturist in the houston area
to treat a chronic elbow tendinitis from muay thai boxing
and stumbled across Sheri’s practice.
what i appreciate most is that she made me aware
of the roots of the cause of my tendinitis.
i.e. although it was a painful elbow, it might have
its origin «one joint above or below»
in the neck or wrists.
as i also practice yoga, and she gave me suggestions
on what to focus on during my practice which
may relieve tension — shoulders, neck.
she is knowledgeable and what i appreciate most
the interactivity of her practice. Sheri answered any and all questions I had
about acupuncture. She’s knowledgeable enough to diagnose holistically
while also being humble enough to listen, interact, and change things up!

I came here for help with stress and I was delighted. This was the first acupuncture session I had ever received. The therapist was extremely knowledgeable and explained the procedure and made me feel at ease. Acupuncture is now something I do regularly. Great experience. Really helped relieve my stress.

I had never experienced acupuncture before this, but was having such annoying hand pain that I figured I’d give it a shot. Loved going here, loved that she didn’t pressure me into more sessions than what she thought I needed. Ended up going once every 2 weeks for about 6 weeks. The pain (not carpal tunnel, just a shooting pain between my pinkie and ring finger on my left hand) stopped almost immediately.
I won’t hesitate to go back for other issues if needed!

I went to Sheri with a specific goal in mind. Don’t get me wrong; she’s very nice and you get your money’s worth during your session because you lay there for the whole hour. She’s good about listening to what your ailment is and treating in. The reason why we weren’t a match was that there wasn’t a long-​term plan or a more holistic approach. It was more of a symptomatic approach rather than looking at the bigger picture. I would’ve appreciated more guidance on lifestyle changes that complement her treatments/​herbal therapy.
At the time I went, a normal 1-​hour session was $ 75.

Tried to get an appointment several times. Lots of messaging back and forth. Had to change the appointment twice. The last change they didn’t write down, I did. Showed up a day late, according to her. No one had called to say where are you? Did you know you had an appointment? Called me a no show. Will not go back or recommend.

Sheri at Element 5 is fantastic! Most recently she treated me for a nagging running injury, periformis symdrome. The pain in deep in my butt and the sciatica that accompanied it made it extremely difficult to run, despite rest days and stretching. Sheri knew exactly how to treat it, identified all affected muscles including my hamstrings and treated me with accupuncture and cupping. The accupuncture is essentially painless and the cupping while it involves pressure actually felt good. At the end of the session I felt immediate relief and was able to run the next day relatively pain free, just a little sore where the cups were placed. I had another treatment five days later even though the pain has not returned. Still feel great. I only wish I had gone to her sooner rather than waiting two months!

I bought a Groupon because I always wanted to try Accupuncture. I really had no medical issues, but told Sheri about little aches and pains and my sleeping habits. She also included a little Shiatsu massage at the end of the treatment. After about a week I realized that I was sleeping all night long, and my neck wasn’t stiff anymore. I now go once a month for a wellness update. Sheri, is great.

Sheri is a truly great, knowledgeable, and kind acupuncturist and healer. I have recommended her to my friends for a wide variety of issues. Her treatments are very effective and she is extremely intuitive and observant about what your health needs might be. I appreciate how she takes the time and energy to explain things to you and share her observations. Her practice is in a lovely little storefront on Persa – very peaceful and calming tucked behind the trees! I would not go anywhere else for acupuncture.

I had never done acupuncture before but when I saw a groupon offering for it, I went for it. Needles make me a little nervous, but when I showed up for my appointment, Sheri, the owner, did a great job making me feel comfortable with all the treatments she did.
You could tell she was very passionate about her practice. She started off with a consultation, and with the time allowed for the session, she recommended the needle acupuncturing and the hot cups for the back to alleviate the symptoms I had. It was professional and sincere for her to walk me through each of the procedures she was doing so I wouldn’t be surprised in anyway.
I was surprised when she said she doesn’t expect tips; I tipped anyway since I wasn’t one of her regular patients, and I thought she did an amazing job.

This was my very first experience with acupuncture. I was not sure what to expect, but went in with an open mind. Sheri took time to explain the procedure in detail, to assure me that it wouldn’t be painful, and to make me feel comfortable. I received an hour long session.
