Elites On ICE @ Discovery Green & The Grove

I know this is a review long over due but even though it was a horrible day full of cold rain Elites on ice was a great event. I had a lot of fun Farrah and David has done it again. You guys are amazing!
I enjoyed my drawing, I love the Unilocal gloves and the chap stick. The Sangria was absolutely amazing! I enjoyed the company of my fellow Unilocalers.
There was no ice skating due to the bad weather, but that’s okay because the setting was beautiful and I had a great time! Thank you Farrah and David!

Was Elites on Ice the show to see this holiday? answer is to be continued as the rain prevented us from ice skating. Now what happens when you mix Elites with sangria and food is a story that has been told many times.
Farrah delivered another great event equipped with Unilocal mittens! So that even when we are bundled up, people can see our Unilocal pride.
I have eaten at the Grove before, but primarily for business lunches and I never got the opportunity to determine how good their sangria is (I wish liquid lunches were more acceptable).
Always good to see everyone, even when it is drizzling and cold outside! Thanks Farrah!
Special shout out to the delicious sliders. Still hot and the meat was cooked well.

Rain never slows down the Houston Elites.
Again another phenomenal event put on by Farrah and her helpers with special guest Gabby from Phoenix, Arizona. Many thanks The Grove and Staff for the excellent service and warm welcome on a rather dreary, wet, and cold evening. The appetizers were delicious, and honestly plentiful, everyone had to have left filled to the brim.
Thanks to Dario, the caricature artist, for your time and your artistic ability.
And, although no on ICE occurred due to the weather not cooperating, which may have been a benefit with my clumsy haphazard ways it was still a great time seeing old faces and being introduced to new.

Another great event. Great location downtown and the food was tasty. The pork burgers were awesome. I look forward to going back and checking out the upstairs patio once it warms up a little.

I was not sure whether or not to brave the deluge to attend this, but I am so glad I did!
There were four different types of Sierra Nevada beer. I only tried three of them, but they were all delicious. For the non beer drinkers there was some wonderful sangria. To snack on there were passed appetizers. The sliders, shrimp tacos and shrimp and grits balls were all delicious. I definitely plan on going back to The Grove for dinner.
There was a caricature artist, but I decided against having my picture drawn as I am wearing a mustache at this time and was afraid I already looked like a caricature. What would a caricature of a caricature look like? I did not want to find out.
Anyways it was a great time, and a great event. I can’t wait until the ice skating part!

Farrah and David:
I know it was rainy and horrible weather, but you still managed to pull this off — and the event was awesome (as all these are). The food was great and so was the ambiance! Loved the guy doing the drawings in the back, along with having the The Grove letting us know they had an upstairs… I didn’t know this! Awesome!
Sadly, the ice skating got rained out, but hey, that’s for another party :)
These kinds of events are exactly why I love Unilocal — it gets me out and meeting new people!
So thank you — each time I get to an Elite event, I make more and more friends :) This time was no exception — met 3 more people I didn’t know!
Fantastic event, and appreciate the invites!

I’ve always wanted to see what I looked like as a cartoon and once again Unilocal has delivered in helping me conquer my bucket list – as silly as some of my list may be. Although, the skating was postponed, it was cool to see so many elites still show face – and even get it drawn. It’s always a great time meeting new people. The Grove was an awesome host, the bites kept coming til the end with several, «last calls.» The Unilocal mittens via checkin was also a fantastic touch. Thank you Farrah and Unilocal for putting it all together :)

Ice skating and The Grove? I couldn’t wait! Farrah and her team did a great job putting together yet another fun event. Too bad the rain stopped us from breaking out our ice skating moves. Well, lucky for me it rained because I was not prepared to embarrass myself.
Love The Grove. I’ve only been here for lunch and loved the view and food. At night it’s even prettier and the bites they served did not disappoint. Can’t wait for the next event!
PS — I’m OBSESSED with my new Unilocal gloves — Unilocal LIFE!

This Elite event was a particularly memorable one since it was apart of my engagement proposal. Farrah was in on it and not only did she do a good job on putting the event together, but also getting me to MKT Bar where my fiancé popped the question!
The Grove is BEAUTIFUL at night. The hostess walked us to a private room of restaurant. We enjoyed light bites that were delicious. My favorite were the Pork Sliders and the Shrimp and Grits balls. The waiter was very gracious to always circle back around me. The Shrimp Tacos were eh… but the drinks were awesome! Berry Sangria was on point. I didn’t even feel the buzz until my 3^rd or 4^th sip. I’m a featherweight. I have to come back to the Grove for a date something. It’s very romantic.

Great Elite event! This was my first one and I’m looking forward to future events! Sure, it could have used less rain, but that can hardly be helped and it did allow for more time to mingle with other Unilocalers.

The Grove is always great and the Sangria was even more great! Think it’s the best one I’ve had in a looooong time.
I look forward to ice skating soon with hopefully no rain ;-)

Farrah did another amazing job of putting together something different for this month’s Elite event! The Grove is a wonderful setting for just about any gathering and the service was super friendly. Unfortunately the ice skating had to be postponed due to torrential downpours all day, but it didn’t dampen the party!
I enjoyed meeting a couple new faces and chatting it up with some regulars. This event was a little smaller, so it really allowed people to mingle around the room all night. Now, I’ll just be waiting for the skating re-​do so I can try out my triple axle in front of all my Unilocal friends.
P. S. I’m from Texas, a triple axle for me is double fisting cold beer while skating on one leg. And I’ll probably fall.

Well Elites. it’s been awhile and I am so glad I made it out despite the rain! Farrah as always is such a great hostess! The number of times I have been to Discovery Green… haven’t made it inside the Grove until tonight! This is a really cool spot! The staff seems very nice and accommodating! Enjoyed the Sierra Nevada that were provided, had never enjoyed these ales before!
The bites were very good as well. I am not much of a shrimp gal, but I will admit I did like those «Shrimp N Grits» balls! Nice and hot, crispy outside! Now of course the sliders had a twist to them with pineapple and habanero. yummy!
My hats off to Dario Mohr for his awesome Caricature of me… and the others too! He was great to chat with and look forward to seeing his works around town!

This was another great Unilocal elite event with good food and good people. The shrimp tacos and shrimp & grits balls were excellent. I also enjoyed the beef sliders. Mother Nature wouldn’t let us ice skate but I enjoyed myself nonetheless.

Elites on Ice more like Elites in kayaks! I loved how many of us paddled out in the rain last night to attend yet another great event put on by our awesome community manager. Farrah, take a bow! I had never been to the grove and it has inched its way up on my list for an upcoming event.
The sangria was delicious, the passed apps so yummy!

Elites are like the mailman, rain or shine we will be there! It rained all day today and the 40 degree weather did not make things any better. I was pretty sure we were probably going to get a cancelation email, but we didn’t and the party must go on. Rain boots and umbrella in hand I made it to The Grove. The staff there was very nice and accommodating. The hostess showed me to the back room where I found many Unilocal elites had already arrived. Unilocal rewarded my braving the elements (and checking in) with a nice pair of gloves and some yummy sangria, beer and appetizers. There was an artist there who did a great job drawing us in caricature. Overall a great evening despite our ice skating being rescheduled.
