Four Points By Sheraton Houston Greenway Plaza

Pros: Quick Check in, Lobby was beautiful, quick access to highway, clean sheets.
Cons: Finding the room was a mess, found the sign but that was even more confusing. Room smelled like BO, TV was small and fuzzy.
We werent going to leave bc this was a last minute stay.

The lobby looks great, the staff is very friendly, the food is ok but the rooms and the plumbing are awful.
They desperately need to update the rooms and fix the plumbing issues. It is also right off the highway and the noise is terrible.

Celebrated my birthday with a stay in Houston proper, and decided to stay at the Four Points Sheraton because of the price and location. An über drive from this hotel to Midtown or Montrose is less than $ 10 which is ideal. It’s also less than a 10 minute drive to Rice Village. Our stay happened to cost 75% less than the a normal room rate, and the front desk said they often have last minute price drops (good to know)!
Overall, we weren’t expecting a 5-​star hotel, and therefore didn’t arrive with inflated hopes. The lobby appeared clean and newly remodeled. Elevators were timely, but the floor hallways were dim and a tad sparse. Some artwork or new hallway fixings could liven up that space and make it less creepy. We had a standard King bedroom which was very spacious. Our tv was nicely sized, the bed was comfy, and the furniture looked new. I loved the dual vanity areas both inside and outside the bathroom. Since we were two women getting ready for a night out on the town, this feature really helped with getting ready.
The bathroom was super clean though there was a constant drip in the shower (not audible, not annoying, therefore not of much importance). The bathroom appliances appeared updated and clean, there was an abundance of towels and free toiletries — much appreciated. There were two free bottles of water waiting for us along with a selection of coffees and teas. The in-​shower body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were actually of good quality and smelled sort of like men’s aftershave (I really enjoyed them).
We saw at check out that there is a breakfast offered in the Lobby, but for $ 14 a person just head for House of Pies, or Torchy’s for better food. Didn’t get a chance to look at the bar much but there were people constantly there enjoying beers. The parking lot fee is $ 10 and the gate system is a little tricky to maneuver, so you end up just buzzing the front desk for assistance every time. They are building a Greenspace next door, but the construction never bothered us.
We were very pleased with our stay, and will probably use the Four Points again for an overnight stay.

After reading reviews I did not have high hopes for this hotel, but was traveling for business and had no option to change locations. The lobby and restaurant are updated and have a nice feel to them. The front desk and bar staff were all super friendly and helpful.
The rooms overall were adequate. The living area was nice, with newer furniture and electronics. Only issue there was that our AC was not working properly. However after mentioning it to the front desk it was fixed that day. Free bottles of water each day was a nice touch.
The bathrooms need some TLC. Ours had clearly been somewhat redone in the past years (vanity and the walls in the shower) but the tub and toilet are badly in need of replacement. Nothing awful but not in great shape. Personally I think these are two key areas that hotels need to stay on the ball.
We ended up eating at the hotel bar twice. On Sunday our waitress also had to help prepare our dinner as the weekend chef had just quit. You would never have guessed that by the quality of the food though, so props to her.
Overall I think some of the ratings on this hotel are a bit more harsh than needed, but I also know things can be so different from room to room.

Nice Cheap Clean Hotel. I have multiple rooms here for the week for my business guests from out of town…

I’ll get straight to the point. The lobby is the most modern part of the hotel and that is not saying a lot. Step off the elevator into the hallway and the ceilings are only 8 ft in height. My first room smelled like a cross between B.O. and mildew, the windows are filthy, and the furnishings are sparse. My second room didn’t smell but the bedding looks like some cheap polish nylon bedspread, the shower had a big black patch on the ceramic tile, no pictures on the wall, no color in the room, depressing old 1970 furniture. What a mistake! Plus, they charge you to park your on car, $ 10 a night plus about $ 3 in tax. Total investment $ 113. Holiday Inn Express is 100 times better.

The lobby is a modern gathering place design. However, the rooms are older and have smaller bathrooms. My toilet seat had a crack in it which always makes me suspicious about maintenance on the property.
I did go down to the restaurant/​lounge for a drink. The lady behind the bar wasn’t very knowledgeable because I had to explain Bulleit Bourbon on the rocks to her a couple times. Then, she disappeared for quite a while even though there were a few new guests waiting to be served and also others wanting to close out.
The parking charge is only $ 10 but the ticket & gate system doesn’t work so you always have to wait for them to buzz you out.

I stayed here for business for just one night. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and the lobby area was decent enough.
Location was convenient but not the best… I typically don’t love staying in hotels right off the freeway but it was close to where I needed to be for work so that convenience was nice.
As for the room, the bed was relatively comfortable (I’ve experienced better and worse in hotels), and it was generally clean. Free wifi and bottled water was a plus. There’s supposedly free in-​room coffee too but my coffee maker was broken so I couldn’t use it and didn’t have time to report it.
The bathroom was disgusting. The sink, floor, and toilet all looked dusty/​rusty/​like they hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in weeks (the toilet had a general yellowish tint around the bowl that looked like old rust).
The shower had dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that made me cringe a little when I had to touch them (I don’t usually bring those shower supplies from home on one-​day trips) because they too looked either rusty or dirty. The walls of the shower looked like they hadn’t been cleaned before I got there — there was gross hair that wasn’t mine stuck to them as well as random gunk that I had to actively try to avoid touching. The drain was broken so that the tub was either filling with water or the whole top of the drain popped off.
All in all, not the best experience but I made it work for one night.

Omfg this place is a nightmare. The first night they had construction which was fine but we heard this really annoying rattling sound! We called the front desk and they said a engineering staff would be sent and all the rooms were full so I couldn’t have a room change ASAP. The guy didn’t show up after I cancelled my reservation (one hour) worst night of sleep ever. See video attached of this annoying rattling sound.
The room smells super weird and the TV is super ghetto that it couldn’t even make clear pictures. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was dirty and stained and the floors were dirty. My tissue box in my room was so gross there were 4 dirty tissues STUFFED INSIDE.
Thanks for ruining my anniversary and having me spend an extra 500 $ at a nicer hotel.

I stay here and order room service every night. It’s hit or miss, unfortunately lately it’s been mostly misses. Tonight I got the smallest chicken breast I’ve ever seen (posted photo) not to mention the lack of salt and pepper on my tray and the inability to ever get a drink right or bring a condiment. Never eat the BBQ either, it’s fatty meat and poorly seasoned.
Also during this trip, In addition to the odd smell in my room that they just keep spraying deodorizer over, I’ve had to step over soiled linens to get ice twice now.
I’ll probably stay here again because it’s cheap and convenient for work, but SO many opportunities.

Ugh, I hate leaving bad reviews but this hotel was pretty bad. The washroom was dirty and the rooms smelled bad. It’s also on the edge of a freeway so the noise at night was horrible. It was so hard to get any sleep.
While the staff during check-​in was friendly, a few days after check out I noticed they had charged my CC for parking. I never parked at the facility and getting a refund has been a major headache.
Unfortunately I don’t have any positive things to say about this hotel. My work booked the hotel and I would never stay here again.

Water was leaking from the bathroom and was stinking the carpet in the room. This was after we requested another room after being dissatisfied with the previous room for being unsanitary. The staff was very unprofessional and uncooperative. We decided to leave and asked for our money back to which they agreed at first but later denied saying they can’t.

Pros: check in was fast– although we did run into some issues with the parking, which is where the cons are.
Cons: parking spaces are so tiny! Four points hotel: YOU ARE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS!!! More than likely 3 out of 5 guests will have a truck or larger car. The parking spaces are seriously a joke AND you have to pay for parking… Who does that? I’ve only paid for parking in Miami and in the French quarter. Anywho– we booked through
and there was something that stated «free parking» so we did get free parking since we brought it to the attention of the front desk staff member.
Other than that, the rooms are nice, comfortable beds, nice pool area and the front desk staff was nice.

I figured I would do a rendition of 10 Things I Hate About You (RIP HEATH LEDGER) and post a 10 Things I Hated About FOUR POINTS GREENWICH PLAZA.
1. At the busiest time of day, they had TWO people checking guests in. SERIOUSLY?
2. The guest service rep that checked me in was so dry I felt like I was in a unhumorous Seth Rogen film.
3. I swear to God, people. She started checking me in at 3:13PM and I received my key at 3:21PM. You’re thinking what I’m thinking: was she new?
4. The parking lot, nothing special about it yet it was $ 10 a day.
5. If you plan to go out late, STAY OUT. It’s hard to find a parking spot — a parking spot that you pay for!
6. The most basic breakfast I’ve ever seen was $ 12!
7. They only had two elevators working so expect to wait an average of 7 minutes to get to your room.
8. They NEVER answer the front desk phone. So if you have any issues, just plan to make your way downstairs. Don’t forget about the 7 minute elevator wait. Up and down, that’s 14 minutes.
9. There’s a 96% chance that you will be inconvenienced because your key won’t work during your stay.
10. Maintenance is a joke! I had a light bulb out, and asked TWICE for it to be replaced. They finally replaced it my last day there and guess what? It still didn’t work.
I give it three stars because the location was amaze-​balls. Overall, the hotel stay was cheap. Prime example of «you get what you pay for.»

Front desk set the tone right from the start, and poorly. For some odd reason all the female guests were greeted with a happy hello and welcome by the man at the front desk and I was just glared at like I was an inconvenience.
The room was a stinky and cleaning wasn’t that great (gunk all over tv remote).
The crummy front desk told me the wrong time for breakfast (it’s an hour later on weekends) so I didn’t get to eat or I would’ve missed my appointment.
Just bad management, these small things are easy things to get right, but they ruin an experience.

I had left my mother’s ring last April 13 on the 4^th floor room 401 of the hotel. We were gone for a quick second and when we got back it was gone!!!
I am pretty sure someone from the hotel has taken it. Me and my two companions were sure it was left my the tv…

This hotel truly has a number of rough edges which just make the experience less enjoyable than it could be.
The rooms are clean and neat in the main sleeping area, they seemed to be maintained rather well. The beds had plenty of pillows and blankets. The bathroom however is very terrible. Scuff marks all around the tub and what appears to either be paint or some sort of gunk all around it. While this may seem kinda not picky it makes it so that you really do not wish to use the facilities here. Furthermore the rooms were unbearable cold, a thermostat in the room seemed to either have no effect or just be so non intuitively designed that I could not figure it out though I tried multiple times during the night. A bit less serious is the plug set up in the room makes it so that the wall away from the beds has the majority of plugs, personally I prefer to have a plug in the nightstand between beds but that may not have been plausible or it may have been something they just didn’t want to do.
The service at the bar is top notch when it is open. Plus they have several craft beers which I rarely see and thus make it one of the highlights.
I was never able to try the food, the breakfast was not free so I avoided it, this says more about me than the hotel. They had these door hangers in the room though that made it seem as though I could indicate a breakfast and have it brought to the room in the morning (for a price but still) I put this on the front door and it was never picked up which was rather disappointing.

If you have aspirations of being a race car driver, this location off a super busy expressway will give you plenty of practice. While the hotel is close to great restaurants, it can be tricky getting in/​out of hotel and accessing the interstate due to heavy traffic. The lobby was clean and appeared updated. Elevators were pretty efficient. And no need to ask for more shampoo, there are shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower.
The hotel will do for a quick stay, but I’ll opt for another place next time —
Positives:
— Quiet corner room, top floor away from elevator and ice machine (upon request)
— comfortable bed
— free wifi and parking
— close to a diverse mix of good eats
— small gym (1 treadmill, 2 bikes, 1 elliptical, workout bench and free weights)
Negatives:
— off a busy interstate and near ‘party’ store and strip club
— views of construction
— outdated rooms and furniture
— no alarm clock or place to hang towels in bathroom

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
As a loyal Starwoods member, I booked this hotel since it had what appeared to be a good location for where I needed to be; however, the location isn’t great at all.
The hotel and room are very aged and simply feel dirty. I’m wishing I had listened to my friend and stayed at the Four Points in CityCentre.
