Gigi’s Cupcakes

This location has recently been bought out, And i love the new management. The owner is super sweet and very personable! Not to mention that they now have happy hour and cupcakes are half off. The can get my money anyday!

I ordered a couple dozen mini assorted cupcakes for a friends housewarming party. The service was great!
I ordered Thursday online and was able to prepay and have my husband pick them up Saturday around lunch time.
They looked so cute at the party and everyone seemed go like them. As far as taste, I prefer the icing from sprinkles and crave, but still good and a great price point if you are getting a large quantity.
$ 20 per dozen for assorted mini flavors.

Yes — these cupcakes are pricey but they are delish and beautiful! We order for special occasions and they never disappoint!

The product is very tasty, the price however is not. I felt $ 20 for a dozen mini cup cakes is pretty pricey. Service was great, very knowledgeable about product line.

I am surprised at all the negative reviews. We have gotten cupcakes from them — minis and regular — at least 12 times in the last year and not once have we had a bad experience. Everyone loves the cupcakes and they get eaten up quickly!
Also, the workers have always been friendly and helpful. There is a young guy there now who is super nice and helpful. We’ll keep going back!

Meh… I love the Gigi’s store in Dallas, so it makes me sad that my experience here wasn’t better. There were only a few cupcakes left at 3p.m., which I’m guessing is near the end of their hours. I had a mini apple cider cupcake – the icing was great, but the cake tasted almost chemical-​y, pretty nasty.

Sadly, I’m going to have to concur with many of the reviews as to Gigi’s at the base of the Chase Tower.
The people there are really nice, and the location couldn’t be better. Presentation is also top notch. The cupcakes themselves look like little decadent presents, and they are put in a very nice box for takeaway. Two stars for friendliness and presentation.
But wow the cupcake was mediocre. I had a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. Hard to mess that up, right? Well, that depends on what you mean by «mess up». If all you want is a sugar rush, then by all means, eat it up. If I’m eating something like this, though, it better be worth it. Sadly, this one was not. The actual cake was sort of dry and dense, and the chocolate frosting was SWEET like woah. I couldn’t even eat half of it, and what I did eat gave me a headache. The whole thing smacks of corporate too-​bigness. Any baker worth her salt wouldn’t let a frosting like that loose on the public, so my guess is it’s a central Gigi’s «recipe» sent to each shop in large buckets.
Sorry, Gigi’s. You get a spot on my never-​again list.

Avoid this place at all costs. We had a special order and bought two boxes of cupcakes in advance, 3 days in advance. Given that orders are done in advance we should expect no hiccups whatsoever.
We called an hour before pickup (as any responsible person would) just to make sure everything was okay as a friendly reminder and we were told that there was no order. They assured us that there was no order. Its funny how a company can take your money along with giving you a confirmation number and yet there still is no order.
And since this is a kiosk and everything is shipped into this location daily and nothing is made there on site the poor employee is stuck dealing with the problems that another site has with billing or logistics. And to make matters worse the owner calls while were there picking up the boxes of cupcakes and has the audacity to try and make it like its the customers fault when we have a confirmation number. After squaring the deal up and boxing up cupcakes there is no apology while one customer is left standing there waiting 30 minutes for the cupcakes they ordered and paid for in advance 3 days earlier and the other half, me, sitting in a hot car when its 100 degrees outside as buses, cops and homeless vagrants are circling the car because I’m sitting parked in a sketchy area on the street waiting for these BS cupcakes.
And since they didn’t have the cupcakes we had wanted and ordered in advance we got stuck with the regular left over cupcakes that are served to the public daily. So much for outstanding service huh? You’d think a cupcake chain would be eager to please you. Nothing but disappointment here, damn, you would have thought that I would have been offered a free cupcake at least since we were made to wait 30 minutes and even had to squabble back and forth with an owner even when we have a confirmation number and money was taken out of our account.
And for the cost and trouble of these damn cupcakes they better be the best damn cupcakes I’ve ever had. I will not be returning to Gigi’s cupcakes especially when the experience is as painful as having your hair pulled. Not the way you run a business and treat customers. Very disappointed. And the only reason you get one star is because there is not a zero star rating. and its funny how the hand me down, 2^nd rate cupcakes that the public didn’t buy all day got pawned off on us and our cupcakes look nothing like the beautiful pics they have up here on this page. wow. Sketchy.

Do not come here if you are concerned about time or being served with an extreme lack of manners.
I came here to pick up cupcakes before client meetings downtown one morning. After confirming that they open at 10am, I was there promptly. Upon arrival, both workers sat behind the counter on their phones and would not unlock the door. When asked what time the store opened, they replied 10am but continued to talk/​text on the phone.
Both workers were not helpful and seemed more disturbed that there was a customer there at opening. They were not friendly as well as unpleasant to be around, especially in such a bright and happy store selling sweets.
You have been warned.
Cupcakes are tasty but not worth having to deal with unpleasant workers. Would rather go anywhere else than return to this location.

Presentation: Extremely cute!
Taste: Disappointing. Comparable to buying cupcakes at Randall’s or Target.
Customer service was good but I won’t be back. A $ 3 cupcake has to taste amazing, or I can go elsewhere.

This place is a disappointment. The customer service is just as bad. You cannot just order a single cupcake. You must buy 3. The bad experience I had with them lead me to contact the «Gigi Headquarters» Save your money and go to Addic Tea Café

Decent enough cupcakes. We grabbed a few mini-​cupcakes in here while exploring the tunnels one afternoon. The cupcakes were good, but nothing mind-​blowing. Also, we stopped in around 2:30, and they had a pretty limited selection by that point, so definitely go earlier in the day if you want to largest selection.
They also had a wheel that you could spin for additional free cupcakes after making a purchase.

Have been to the Cypress location twice. Cupcakes aren’t anything special. They have chocolate and vanilla and those are the base for all their cupcakes. My strawberry cupcake consisted of a vanilla cupcake with gobs and gobs of Strawberry Frosting. The Italian Crème Cupcake was a vanilla cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting with coconut and nuts. I just don’t get piling a whole can of Betty Crocker frosting on top of a plain boring cupcake. There are better cupcakes out there. I won’t waste anymore money here.

I tried the location in Sugar Land and hated it. My wife liked the cupcakes at the downtown location, so I decided to give them a shot.
Still wretched. Still bland cake, only this one was gummy. Gum should be gummy. Not much else should be gummy. Still way too much icing, and it tastes exactly like eating a can of Betty Crocker icing from the grocery store. And trust me, I know exactly how that tastes. I’m not proud of my 20s.
If this is the only cupcake available to you, eat something else.

The cupcakes are super cute and they have an extensive menu selection that regularly changes. I got 2 mini cupcakes – strawberry and the double stuffed Oreo. Both are good, decorated very nicely, but I still prefer Crave Cupcakes more. I’m not sure how much downtown tunnel business will be able to support them. definitely a good place for corporate companies to eat birthday or celebration sweets instead of a usual cake. The only bakery options in the tunnels are cookie cakes and this.

Okay– I love cupcakes, I really do, but the one I tried today made my stomach hurt. ;(Sad Panda.
This location just opened up in the tunnel system in downtown Houston. It’s right below the infamous tallest 5 story building (The Chase Tower) in the WORLD– yes the WORLD. It took the place of my beloved Freshii who had the BEST probiotic yogurt in town– they moved somewhere else in the tunnels (please someone let me know where!!!)
So they serve different cupcakes every day Mon-​Fri. I’m not sure what time they open, but they close at 3pm.
I walked in around 1:45ish and they were out of quite a few cupcakes– and no they don’t make more! :(
I tried the sopapilla one today– you can’t go wrong with a Mexican delight like a sopapilla. I WAS WRONG! I’m not sure anyone has taken GiGi to a Mexican restaurant before and actually ordered the dessert. It was VERY cinnamon-​y and had some kind of nut in it? I’m not sure– the only thing that sort of saves this cupcake is the frosting– only because it was creamy and creamy and creamy– maybe that is why my stomach hurts!
Just because you make a cupcake with cinnamon does NOT make it taste like a sopapilla. Where was the honey flavor?
I AM going to give this place another try because on Fridays they serve a blueberry lavender cupcake and I LOVE all things lavender, so I will make sure to get there before the lunch rush eats them all!
