History

Established in 2014.

I am a British-born, Australian-raised, wannabe-Houstonian who loves H-town, humidity and all.

In June 2014, I took the plunge and left my corporate job to open my own studio where I can teach Pilates Mat, Booty Barre and Pilates equipment private sessions full time.

I’ve been teaching Pilates Mat for 5 years. I have earned accreditations in Peak Pilates Mat, Booty Barre and Pre and Postnatal Pilates. I am currently working towards my Comprehensive Pilates Certification.

When I am not teaching, I am typically spending time at my home in Garden Oaks being followed around by my three beautiful rescue dogs — Bailey, Harry and Milly. I also devote a lot of my spare time to fostering abandoned puppies and mamma dogs through Pup Squad Animal Rescue as well as spending time with friends, generally drinking good wine and laughing as much as possible.

I am excited to see what the future holds. Join me on my Pilates journey.

Meet the Business Owner

Nicola E.

Business Owner

I was born in Manchester, England and moved to Australia when I was 7. When I was 23, I returned to England — this time London. During my 20s and early 30s, I developed chronic neck and shoulder pain that was so bad I could barely even walk for exercise.

A job in oil and gas brought me to Houston in 2007, where I immediately sought out a Pilates personal trainer.

I had little idea what Pilates was and I wasn’t really that excited or hopeful of significant change — this is where I was very wrong!

Pilates was fundamental in my recovery; I was amazed to find that this discipline of movement helped to permanently reduce my pain and increase my strength and mobility after years of experiencing pain. I decided then that this was something I wanted to practice for the rest of my life.
