Gordon, Elias & Seely, L.L.P. is a boutique firm that practices three types of law: (1) Jones Act maritime injuries; (2) FELA railroad injuries; and (3) Truck Accident/​Commercial Vehicle Accident litigation. Our practice focuses on placing the clients’ interests first. Mr. Gordon is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law with the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

The firm has relationships with trial lawyers who have been personally vetted in every state in the Union. Their lawyers are licensed in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Washington, D.C. The partners are members of the Maritime Law Association, the AAJ Admiralty Law Section, the AAJ Railroad Law Section and the AAJ Interstate Trucking Litigation Group.

All of their practice is on a contingency fee basis which means that if there is no recovery, their clients pay absolutely no fee or expenses. Their phones are answered 24÷7÷365.

History

Established in 2000.

GE&S has had the pleasure of representing injured persons for over 25 years. The first year of Mr. Gordon’s practice was in 1985. At that time, he represented insurance companies against persons who were injured. He quickly learned that was not where his heart nor capabilities should be. He changed his practice to where he was best suited, i.e., helping injured persons recover monies against large corporations.

In 2000, Todd Elias and Steve Gordon formed Gordon & Elias, LLP​.Mr. Elias was young but a quick study. He rapidly developed into a premier lawyer that obtains excellent results and maintains the level of compassion that is needed when representing families that have been devastated by a serious injury.

In 2010, Jeff Seely became a partner forming Gordon, Elias & Seely, LLP. Mr. Seely is an extraordinary lawyer possessing intelligence but street smarts as well. He has been twice nominated as a Rising Star and maintains a winning track record at trial.
