Greenway Inn & Suites

Worst piece of crap we’ve ever stayed at in our whole life! Room was unsleepably hot even after we had the AC running all day. Bug and cockroaches everywhere. Bed very very poorly washed… Sheets were still wet, there were yellow and black stains all over bed, dead bugs and sticky stuff on the head board. Bathroom flooded after shower. Even the tv remote and phone didnt work. In fact the phone had no chord. No ice buckets. DO NOT STAY HERE. EVEN UNDER EXTREME BUDGET CIRCUMSTANCES.

The headboard had some sticky stuff on it (the worst kind of stuff) which I, of course, let the back of my head rest on for a good while before noticing. Thankfully it had a green color to it, which relieved me of some of my worry. So, I can definitively say the Greenway Inn & Suites does NOT have semen on their headboards.
My sheets had brown spots on them the first night. I pretended it was crayon. The second night my sheets were damp, for some reason I still pretended it was crayon. I hadn’t used my imagination that much in a while, thanks Greenway Inn.
The phone is attached to nothing, it sits on the bedside table, completely useless. On the bright side, it never rang, never bothering us. Good work on the set-​piece phone.
The air conditioner ran non stop for roughly 36 hours (even when we weren’t in the room all day), it did not get cooler, so it was horribly hot the entire time The air conditioner pumped out cold air, but it didn’t matter, the air just disappeared and stayed over 80 degrees the entire time. In hindsight, maybe this was a positive as it made sure that I never got under any sort of dirty, dirty, crayon stained/​wetted sheets due to being chilly. So, good work on the stifling hot room.
There are bars of soap used by past residents plastered to the shower wall near the ceiling. I added my own to the collection. It really gives you a sense of community and camaraderie, good work by Greenway inn to promote a sort of brotherhood feel with past residents.
Shampoo comes in packets, not unlike ketchup. This way you make sure to spill almost all of it as you try to open it, making sure you only use a tiny amount of shampoo (or scent goo, more likely) in your hair and not dry out your scalp. Greenway Inn cares.
Scalding hot water leaks out from behind the hot water knob on the shower, in turn, making the knob so hot it is almost impossible to shut off. In today’s pampered society, it is nice for the Greenway to toughen us up a bit.
Most hotel reviews will skim right over the toilet. However, when flushed for the first time a nice, little brown thing floated up into the bowl. Sometimes you forget everyone poops. Reminders are a good thing.
Speaking of poop, the balcony has bird poop all over it, necessitating shoes. I spent money on my shoes to wear them, it feels good to get my money’s worth. Thank you, Greenway Inn for making sure I enjoy my possessions.
The television is formatted incorrectly so you can’t see roughly 25% of what you should see. This makes sure you get out and enjoy the city of Houston rather than wasting away watching incorrectly labeled TV channels (also 4 India/​SE Asia channels).
The buttons are reversed on the remote control, so volume up turns it down and vice-​versa. This is just plain fun. And something you remember the first time and every time after.
They do not have an ice bucket, but the fella at the front desk will give you a latex glove to fill with ice. Which is a nice, quirky thing that every hotel in the world doesn’t do.
I saw three types of bug I have never seen before. And one type of bug I haven’t seen in a long time. Pretty nice.
You also arrive home and your skin still tingles and itches, likely psychosomatic (but I don’t know for sure yet! Another great guessing game given to you by the Greenway), not letting you forget the Greenway Inn, even after you’ve left.
Thanks Greenway. I bet the suites are even better.
Whoops, one negative, the bedside table didn’t have a bible (or any religious text) Potentially depriving me of one last opportunity to perhaps find religion.
P. S. I mean this earnestly, I will say the Greenway’s shower (at least in my room) had the highest water pressure of any shower I’ve ever been in. I’ll leave that up to you if that’s a positive.

Tile floors in rooms. Dirty bathroom (I wouldn’t sit on the toilet seat.) Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Bathroom floor flooded after taking a shower. Stained sheets. The walls are very thin and we could hear everything from the hallway! The lady at the front desk wouldn’t give us towels or shampoo (we had to wait until room service the next morning.) When we asked her if the area was safe, she said, «I wouldn’t walk around with less than 2 people.»…And a very bad wifi connection, and no breakfast… Definitely not worth $ 70/​night.

I wish I could give this place no stars at all that’s how horrible this place is. Every room has bed bugs so if they say to you this room doesn’t they’re lying. The hotel is filled with roaches. Overall this place is the worst place I have ever seen. The staff is so rude and act like their running the Marriott or something. Even if they let you live for free its better to live on the streets or go stay in anothermotel not worth staying here. They have no one to clean here either and the cleaners that do clean re use dirty towels and sheets. There are stray cats running around all over the hotel god knows what they carry with them. Seriously if you’re trying to save money there are other ways instead of staying at this place its not worth it all read the other reviews or experience it yourself.

I always get my Unilocal app out when looking for restaurants and hotels. Why did I not do it this time? This place is AWFUL. When we pulled up to the parking lot it did not look that bad. They had nice little wide balconies and it looked like there were a lot of people parked in the lot. We walked in the lobby and it reminded me of a dorm. There were college students studying in the lobby. Cool. We walked up to our room to find a pretty big room but automatically started seeing bugs. I realize this is Texas and you cant always avoid them so I let it go. And then there were more. And more. And more…
I CANT STAND roaches. I know they are not going to hurt me and I leave them alone when I am in their environment. Now that I am seeing them crawling all over our hotel room and on the furniture. Not cool. I did not even want to lift up the mattress because I am 100% sure there were bedbugs under there. There was also something that resembled a huge blood stain on the tile floor. Thank God I booked through Priceline and I was able to call them and cancel our reservation immediately and get our money back. I think if I would have found the room through the hotel itself I would have not been able to get the money back. It was absolutely disgusting and this place needs to be torn down. No matter how cheap it is and how great the location is, DO NOT stay here.

1″ dead roach. 3/​8″ one running around. manual door lock broken. poor customer service. no carpet. when I complained about the roaches apparently happened three times tonight. not worth $ 70

F*** this place is a Sh** hole and the manager is so rude. So here is the low down on the dirty dirty Greenway Inn & Suites, my first night I kill 5 German Cockroaches and go to sleep first thing in the morning I go to take a shower and kill 2 more roaches so I set a fogger bomb off when I left to work, upon my return I found 3 more roaches from the foger bomb
so then I asked the front desk for new sheets because of the roach problem and they refused to even give me a new towel the next day I woke up i had bumps on my hands and legs I think it might be bed bugs
Its to bad I payed a for a full week in advance I guess thats what you get when your more worried about price then quality :(
Please stay away from here this place needs to be wiped off the map for good.

The minute you walk into the lobby, you feel disgusting. No matter how cheap it is, it’s not worth staying here.
I didn’t dare get under the sheets of the bed, I felt gross just sitting on the crusty thing. The carpets are disgusting and stained, never took off my sandals/​shoes, no way I would let my bare feet touch this debacle.
The balcony was the only sanctuary from this nightmare room, the freeway noise was a welcome feature after turning on the TV to see a blizzard.
We had bought liquor to predrink and there were no cups in the room so I went down to the shithole restaurant to get 2 styrofoam cups to which the douchebag wanted .80 cents, I told him to keep the change after handing him a buck. What a joke…
No ice 3^rd floor, no ice bucket, no bag for ice bucket. Actually, there WAS an ice bucket in our room that I didn’t see, it was in the damn bathroom right next to the TOILET, WTF? Do they not know that every time someone flushes there is a plume of crap, WTF are they thinking, oh and even better, there are NO plastic bags to put over the ice bucket, NASTY, I seriously started dry heaving after I found the ice bucket in the room.
Basically we took a shit, showered, (wiped myself with my t shirt because the towels were filthy and stained, and even if they looked clean, it was probably too good to be true) felt dirtier, changed and went out, all for $ 70, not bad right?
TL, DR: THIS PLACE IS A SHIT HOLE

Wow. All I have to say is, no hot water and roaches. I don’t think it requires any more review than that! Except that the front desk didn’t care about either. Good thing I was here for just one night. Never again.
