Great first experience getting my Australian labradoodle washed and groomed. I had been doing it myself for the last year and finally decided to turn to the pros. Check-​in was easy and they seemed to genuinely care how I wanted my dog’s hair cut. This was translated to Lisa perfectly. She looks great. Pricing was very reasonable and cheaper than some others — it all depends on the size of your dog. They called me as soon as she was finished but I waited until after work to pickup. I will definitely be bringing my girl back.

I have a Maltese dog so he needs frequent grooming and good care. It was our first time today at Lisa’s and my dog is very handsome and happy! Lisa was very friendly and I was able to explain the way I wanted my dog’s hair cut. It was very fast and efficient, and they also gave my dog a free treat.

Horrible experience! It was indeed my first and last visit. They did not show the courtesy to ask about my requirements. Despite telling them twice not to bald my Maltese, they did the same. Since it was so hot, I requested the lady to fill water in a bowl and give to my puppies, she stared at me as if she hated it and walked off. I again asked her if she had kept the water and food, she stared at me as if she will kill me. Come on guys. First learn to deal with your customers before showing eyes to them !! You take hell of the money from us and give degraded services !!

My boys love coming here and they always look great afterwards. They get excited when we pull up and they run in to see everyone. They did not do this at the last groomer we used. We’ve been going to Lisa for about 8 years and we love her and her shop!

Grooming by Lisa does an great job and the best prices I’ve seen! I previously went to Natural Paws but they were so much more expensive. Even on our second visit there they already remembered my shih-​tzu and what kind of haircut we got. After going there for a while though, I noticed his eye areas weren’t getting cleaned, and I don’t know if they were expressing the dogs. I think they are a great local business, but I’ve chosen to go somewhere that offers more for the standard groom price.

I took my Rocky here for his second time (1^st time was at a petsmart which I don’t recommend) ever to get a full grooming service. The staff were very friendly. I am very happy with the job they did with him, I’ll be coming back. I was scared they wouldn’t be able to handle him because he was scared but he came out fine (no cuts at all, & perfect nails!) I dropped him off at 9:30am and he was done by 2:30pm. I paid $ 45 and Rocky is a small-​medium mini poodle mix

Grooming by Lisa stands out in Houston for great pet grooming., My purebred mini poodle, hailing from San Francisco, has been looking her gorgeous self for the last four years with Lisa. She merrily walks in and greets Lisa, no fear, no hesitation which is a good sign that all is well and there is a gentle touch. And there is. Have to tell you, after a series of groom disasters in Houston, no one touches my little princess but Grooming by Lisa! And congrats on your new location. Love it!

Excellent place to take your family members also known as pets.

Just picked up my 7 year old English Bulldog from her first grooming visit with Lisa. As long as I’m in Houston, I won’t take her anywhere else. Very good work for a very fair price. My dog usually hates getting her nails clipped too, but Lisa did it without a hitch! Guess she has the magic touch!

Great job. New to the area called on Saturday had an appointment Monday. They were very quick I was able to pick up my dog on my lunch break. They also recommended other things he needs done. Coming back and recommending to friends!

Lisa’s always does an amazing job for my shih tzu poodle! I was referred to Lisa’s by a long time customer of hers and I’ve been extremely satisfied. I’ve usually been able to get appointments the same week, sometimes even the same day! If you’re looking for a groomer to make your pup look fabulous, take them to Lisa’s :)

Lisa did a great job with my two babies! I was very nervous to take my babies to somewhere new but she eased my gears right away and everyone in the shop was soo friendly to my dogs. I have two shih tzus and this is what she seems to specialize in. Lisa is my new groomer for sure and maybe will even board the kids here one day!

Chloe was always treated with love and respect. The groomers and staff are not only professional, but also kind and considerate! The premises are well maintained and, after grooming, the dogs look runway-​ready!

We have taken our Lhasa Apso here for years. They give her a great bath and trim. This place is wonderful and truly the only place we trust with a dog!

Lisa’s facility is clean, her staff is friendly, and most importantly, my 3 lb. chihuahua was very well taken care of on his first visit! I will definitely recommend Lisa to my friends and family.

I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a good pet groomer for my lil pup. After a lot of research on pet groomers in the area, I decided to make an appointment with Lisa of Grooming by Lisa. I am so happy I went with Lisa (and so is my pup!) because my lil guy looks great! Not only did they do a great job, my pup was also not scared and skittish when I picked him up, which normally happens when I pick him up from a grooming appointment. Lisa didn’t keep my pup at the shop all day and promptly called me as soon as he was ready to go. I dropped my pup off before work at 7:30am and when back to pick him up on my lunch break. My dog is clean and happy and we will definitely be seeing Lisa again.

I called to make an appointment for my Pug to get a bath and his toe nails clipped. The lady I spoke with on the phone said that they were not open weekends and the only time they bathed dogs was from 7:30 — 9:30 in the morning. I’m sorry, what? How does this schedule work for anyone who has a job? I have to be at work at 8am and I do not have time to come in before work and sit there while you bathe my dog then take him back home and THEN go to work. I asked if I could bring him in around 4 or 5 after work and she said that all the batheres would have already left by then. I am so confused how this company gets any business seeing as most people have jobs???

Lisa has many years of experience in pet grooming and the staff provides outstanding customer service. We’ve taken our shih tzu to Lisa for many years and so has our neighbor with her two little poodle mix. Lisa is a hard worker and does all the grooming herself. As we all love our pets and consider them as a family member. I have trust in Lisa that she will take good care of our Furry Bella as if it was her own.

Unilocal and the plethora of good reviews brought me here. I left a message after hours and was called promptly when they opened. Since it was New Year’s Eve, I wasn’t that hopeful to get my little Boo Boo in, but they said bring her straight away! They are literally 60 seconds from my front door. I was buzzed in and a very nice lady behind the desk checked us in. Two lazy big cats and a couple of Shih tsu babies were there with her. I chose this groomer based on the good reviews for handling that breed. Although the shop is small, the service is BIG. Lisa is a dear, and did a FANTASTIC job. She did exactly as I asked and her services are more than reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone!

I found out about this place through the informal dog-​park based shih tzu network (thanks, Ken and others!), as the owner is involved with shih tzu rescue, and our two dogs are rescued tzu, um… mixes. We think.
Anyway, this adorable shop is located between Chimney Rock and Hillcroft, tucked quietly into the end of a small shopping plaza. I’d never have spotted it on my own, and it does seem to mostly operate by word-​of-​mouth. Once you pass the delicious Magnolia restaurant you’re almost there.
Everyone who works here is very friendly. There are two resident fat, lazy cats, and two shih tzus (one is 16 years old!) who sleep behind the counter during the day. Peeking into the back revealed all manner of cute small dogs of various breeds– definitely not just tzus.
I was so bummed that I forgot one of my dog’s medicated shampoo, but Lisa has medicated shampoos for various skin conditions on hand for such cases. She does the full grooming workup– fur, nails, ears, and even the dreaded, um, glands. (Small dog owners, you know what I mean.)
She took in stride that London tries to rip into anyone who touches his feet or butt, and because she works with mostly small dogs, she had an appropriate muzzle on hand. She wouldn’t even have mentioned his nippiness if I hadn’t asked about it specifically. (We used to have to hold him while the groomer tended to him in Chicago.)
I’m very picky about, well, everything… and I want my dogs to look adorable and feel soft (and not smell, which with London’s skin condition is tough). London came back looking like a little grey bear, and Mei, who looks a bit like an alien anyway, was also pretty cute. (I’ll ask for the top of her head to be a touch shorter next time.) Very good shaping on the body– although the true test will be in the cooler months when we let the hair grow out a bit. (Shih tzus have hair, not fur — meaning they don’t shed, but their hair grows like ours does– hence the need for grooming.)
