My fiancé and I bought my first truck last night from Barry Goins at Gulfgate. Cant say enough about Barry. He worked with us on the trade in and new Ram 1500 Lone Star to make it doable for us. Great service all the way through. He was very thorough teaching me every spec of the truck. I definitely recommend Gulfgate and especially Barry.

They have remodeled and it was very needed way nicer and cleaner and organized better. Ive gotten my last few cars here and service is good I only go here. Cool thing is they do accept the online coupons as well. Gary and few others are awesome! Suler helpful and explain to you whats going on so your not feeling in the dark. Great place and it shows with some of the employees that have been there a long time.

now, 100% of the world understands what cash price means. i understand it as i have a check to pay for the vehicle right now. then they added the «individual finance arrangements may affect final price». this is a complete lie. if you advertise a «cash price», you need to honor it. unless you qualify for so many different rebates that maybe 1 person in the whole houston area may qualify for, the final price is a scam. this is the worst dealership i’ve dealt with in a while and makes the other reviews of other dealerships seem like 2 – 3 stars.

If i could give this review no stars I would. This place is false advertising their services. On June 11^th 2015 we went to gulgate dodge to purchase a 2015 dodge ram when we went in we were looking for Tony T due to his advertisements on the radio, one salesman told us that he was inside and as soon as we got up to the door another salesman ran straight over and started telling us that he wasn’t there and that he was far out of the country and that he can help us but we denied his help due to the way he approached us, as we walked in the door nobody seemed to even care we were there, no one asked if they could help us we had to ask someone for help and he told us that he could help us make a deal. We told him that if he can’t help make a deal not to run our credit he said okay and sent the «Manager» Frank over and he suggested that if we want our payments to be cheaper to not trade in our truck and to just get it repossessed and he would put us in a truck that day and it would be like nothing happened, so we put our trust in him and he said they will have to get us a deal. We waited for hours and nothing so the next thing we know they sent us home saying they will call us tomorrow. The next day no call so we called them and «Manager» Frank told us to be patient and he will check on it still nothing so when we finally got in touch with the salesman again he said the bank wants a trade-​in but the payments will be high or we could get a cheaper car (which we didn’t want to get just anything) so we told them never mind and we went back to the dealer we got our truck from and tried to get another one and it turned out that we couldn’t get anything because gulfgate dodge ran my credit score down 120 points in one day by shooting it to every bank and still couldn’t help us I had a good credit score one day then the next bad credit, because of Frank. He has very bad customer service. DON’T GO TO GULFGATE DODGE! They will mess your credit up and you won’t be able to get anything until you build it up again.

I was told by the service department when I made my appointment a MONTH in advance that it would take no more than a hour to take care of my recall notice — the person who took my appointment even put me on hold to confirm with someone actually in charge of service.
But when I arrived today, I found the dealership in disarray as they undergo renovations, the service department relegated to a smelly trailer in the back lot that was not clearly marked and an unhelpful service advisor who told me my recall repair would take FOUR HOURS. I considered waiting so my jeep would finally be fixed, but then I discovered that their «waiting area» was a bench outside, barely covered by the awning of the service drive — on a day when Houston is being threatened by a possible tropical depression. With no apologies, no explanation, and no other option (other than dying from heat exhaustion), I decided to leave.
When I returned home, I confirmed with my recall paperwork that the repair was supposed to take a HALF HOUR.

Don’t waste your time. My husband spent two days going back and forth with the sales guy named Lee.
Then when he finally emailed a final quote, it was on a Saturday and they don’t take deposits on a Saturday. Sunday morning my husband got in touch with them at 9:50am to pay the deposit on a vehicle and they told him they were in the process of selling it to someone that walked onto the lot (they don’t open until 10am) I spoke to George the manager, he said «that’s what happens in this business» Poor business practices. Don’t let them waste your time. Go somewhere else. It will be worth it.

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP! Got a great deal on a 2014 Ram 1500. When I got home I realized the rear bumper was crooked, the front headlight was not aligned, and the USB cover was broke. Called my service rep, Paul, he said that the service department would take care of it. I have called the service reps who can not tell me that it will be covered by warranty and I have e-​mailed and called the Service Manager, Connie, repeatedly and have never been contacted. I purchased the truck on 3÷30÷15. Terrible customer service!

the date is ³⁄₂₀ 2015 I went in for an oil change had a 12 o’clock appointment they were very slow I asked for a full synthetic oil change and got a half synthetic mix they don’t listen to you when you tell them what you want done I wish I would’ve bought my car there if I was you I would find somewhere else to go

Hopefully I am able to give 0 stars– that is how bad the service provided on my new Jeep purchase was. I made the purchase in late February and it is now April 27 and I have not received my registration sticker. The temporary plates ran out on April 20 and I had to call and ask about them Keli Borel told me on Friday, April 25 that she would send them overnight to my home on the north side of Houston. Two days later, they still are not here. That is the last in a long line of problems, starting with the purchase paperwork being incorrect so my bank, which did the financing, had to step in. The night I made the purchase I was not given the owner’s manual, so I had to go back to get it. It took them nearly a month to pay off my trade in, so it looked like I was late with a payment– although they did get an updated total and paid it in full. I am still waiting for the general manager, to return my call. I will try to find contact information on Mr. Davis, the owner, so I can let him know all my problems along with Jeep.

The customer service blows & the service also. I had no squeaking before my brake job and now they squeak non stop. And all they say is «we will check it». Don’t come here try another dealership.

Took 10 minutes to find out where to park. No good signs on how to get to parts. Walked in no one said hi or anything. Extremely slow service. Government employees?
Listened to the entire collection of 70s music while waiting including Stairway to Heaven, Doobies Without Love, The Who.
Finally said hello and took my parts order. Really friendly and helpful. Ordered my part. Saved me $ 365 by sort of talking me out of buying the Challenger car cover. Said it was not water proof. Can’t anything at the dealer be top quality for a good price?

My boyfriend, brother-​in-​law, and myself went to this dealership yesterday with every intention to purchase a car for my boyfriend. We did our research and found a couple of pre-​owned chargers we were interested in. The salesman let us test drive some cars and took us through the whole process. The salesman never gave a final price until he had all his salesman «hooks» in us. Also, the listed price on the Internet was the CASH price only that was so discreetly placed in small text at the bottom of the webpage. Sorry we don’t carry large amounts of cash at a time? The asking price for non-​cash was MUCH higher. The salesman was dead set on that price and was in no mood to negotiate at all. We walked out the door as if the sale didn’t matter. Also, the sales manager did not make time to meet with us.
We ended up going to a different dealership that day. They treated us well and gave us a good deal that we signed off on. Their internet prices were ACTUAL prices and not cash.

Auto sales are ok. If you buy an auto from them and need service good luck. Two week wait to get your vehicle in for service. No loaners unless you meet very specific criteria. When you bring your vehicle to the service appointment don’t expect it to be fixed that day. My vehicle had a very minor service engine light due to a bad oxygen sensor and they wanted to keep the vehicle 3 days. It sat outside in the back lot all day the day of my appointment. When I called the service writer to inquire of the status of my vehicle they told me they were still diagnosing the problem even though I know the car never went in the shop. They simply moved it from the customer parking lot to the back parking lot. Dealership service isn’t the best most places you go but this is definitely one of the worse around that I’ve seen especially when you factor in the rude service writing staff.

They definitely saved me! My Challenger stalled out a couple miles away from them after hours. I had called as the technicians were leaving for the night and they took the time to wait for me so that my car could be towed into their locked lot. Got a call Monday morning, saying all was fixed and that was that.

Salesman Nick Montoya and sales mgr Walter Thomas, master manipulators and liars. Nick assured me i was approved for financing on a upgraded 2013 Challenger and Walter also assured me that he could get the deal worked for me… I drove the car home that night and went back the next day to sign my papers and Nick says… OOPS. I made a mistake, the car we actually got you financed for was really a 2012 base model and the car you drove is $ 7,000.00 more expensive, do you want the base model?
