Bob can be found at the Midtown Farmer’s Market and also offers a mail order service, also. I have used Bob to sharpen my favorite knife, who amazed me by making the knife sharper than I recall when it was first purchased new. You can drop off your knife, peruse the rest of the market, and he’ll have it ready in a jiffy. The cost depends on the length of your knife blade, and starts at around $ 4.00 If you bring your go-to knives to Bob for sharpening, you will be pleased that you did. Plus, a sharpened knife will dramatically improve your ability to become the next Iron Chef.

Mobile knife sharpening — Super convenient for your kitchen knives, very sharp results. Bob has a full business selling knives, but shows up at the Bayou City Farmers Market most Saturdays to sharpen your knives. He finishes in 5 — 10 minutes which is SO convenient if you use your kitchen knives frequently. Sharpening a cleaver, two 8-inch, and one 10-inch chef’s knives cost $ 25, which in my experience is excellent value given how quickly they were sharpened. The knives were sharpened enough to cut paper smoothly, and cut very small shreds of paper. I have one complaint, and it’s not minor. My once serrated knife is now sharp(not as much as the other two) but no longer serrated. Lesson, don’t sharpen serrated knives(I should have known better).
