Houston Direct Pre-owned

Emailed them asking two simple questions «Is there any mechanical and/​or cosmetic defects with this 2011 dodge challenger r/​t.» And I get the response «Hello Redstorm3265 my name is D**** D***, this car runs great and is still covered under manufacture drivetrain warranty. The car has only 37k and it looks really clean just like the pictures. Please give me a call if you would like to come look at the car.»
Completely dodges the question that could of simply been answered yea or no and wants my number so I can harassed to buy it…

Ohhhh where to begin…
So my boyfriend and I were looking to buy a new car to replace our oldest one. We were looking for a very specific car and after doing a lot of looking I found what appeared to be a great deal on the Houston Direct website. Because we live far from Houston, I called them twice the day before to make sure it was still there and it was. They texted me a picture of it and everything. The next day, I called them before we left to make the journey to Houston and it was still there. Then I called one more time when we were about 10 minutes away and I was reassured that it was indeed still there and that they had it out and ready for us.
So we get there, we check out the car. We are sitting in it we are loving it and we go back inside to hammer out the details. At this time they take our old car to be appraised for a trade-​in value but our stuff was still in it so the salesman told us to go ahead and put in the new car. We did that and when we went back inside, I still had the keys in my hand and everything, the salesman told us that there was someone in the finance office buying «our» car. I can’t even describe how angry I was. I mean our stuff was in this car and I was holding the keys! So then he tries to save the appointment with…
Car #2: This car is one I had also seen on the website. I wasn’t crazy about it and it took some convincing, but I agreed to check it out. So he goes to bring that car up to the front and he comes back empty handed and was like ohhhh that one sold. So I’m getting angrier and he is fumbling at the computer looking for other ones when I see on the showroom floor…
Car #3: I asked about this car out of pure curiosity. I thought for sure it was out of my price range but I wanted to know how much it was and the number that came out of his mouth was incredible! It was in my price/​mileage range and holy cow it was a Cadillac. So I walk over and start to check it out and I’m sitting in the drivers seat when he runs over and says that is the wrong one and that this was actually about $ 10K more than what he told me. Still angrier so he goes to get the one he actually saw on the computer
Car #4: We sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for him to bring us the actual car he was talking and when he finally comes back, guess what IT’S SOLD.
Car #5: Finally, as I’m wondering why we are still here, he tries to get us into this gross, stained old SUV that is far cry in quality than the one we came here for originally.
Needless to say, we left empty handed. This was the first car I was to purchase via financing and not cash and this was very traumatizing. Do not go here. It is an emotional energy drain and the mind games take all the fun out of buying a car.
The next day we went to Sterling McCall Lexus and had a wonderful experience. They turned my feelings on buying a used car right back around. I guess you just need to know where to go and Houston Direct Preowned is not it.

After emailing them they add you on to their SPAM list. What a company.
