Native Texan Dan Perez was educated at the University of Houston. He has 18 years of practical experience as a hypnotist and has trained with some of the most respected hypnotists in the U.S. and U.K. He is an approved trainer for the prestigious Head Hacking hypnosis firm in the U.K. Dan is the author of the books Hypnosis Revealed and Secrets of the Hypnotic Pendulum.

I have suffered from anxiety and insomnia on and off for years. I was also suffering joint inflammation all over my body. After deciding I didn’t want to rely on medications for the rest of my life, I consulted Dan Perez. His office is lovely and calming — I was never self-​conscious or uncomfortable. We had several hypnosis sessions, but they were more than just hypnosis sessions. He explained aspects of the subconscious mind and how hypnosis works on it. He gave me tools and visual aids, and expanded on information I already knew. Dan taught me how to create and use a very powerful tool, the positive affirmation, which has had a huge impact on my wellbeing. I feel so much better psychologically and physically. I have also realized some unexpected benefits — I enjoy my job so much more now; I don’t get overwhelmed by the mountain of everyday stressors that used to plague me; I am more appreciative of my husband; and I have lots more patience. I feel happy and hopeful! I highly recommend Dan Perez. He has a great therapeutic gift and is very generous in sharing it.

After pouring through many Unilocal reviews, I sought Dan’s help for my preteen daughter who was suffering from trichotillomania (obsessive hair pulling) as a Hail Mary after trying other more traditional therapies. I wish I would have gone to him first! After the first session her compulsion was significantly lessened and after the 3rd session I am elated to say she is 100% recovered. I was so impressed I have used him for my migraines which are also gone, as well as autoimmune disorders which he’s helped me manage symptoms. He’s great with kids and adults alike. He’s very personable and caring. There’s no hocus pocus in his treatments, and he fully explains the science/​neurology behind hypnosis and makes you feel at ease. I went to see Dan at Hypnosis Works! to see if I could get some relief from my migraines and anxiety. I had had a migraine for the whole month of June. I recently worked with Dan at Hypnosis Works to help deal with sleeping problems and some issues with anxieties of life associated with owning a business and raising teenagers. We worked together for 4 sessions and he helped me tremendously. Dan is excellent! My daughter was having nightmares every night involving close family members dying and her feeling helpless to stop it. Dan is a remarkable individual with an ability to speak to multiple psychological topics. He recently was a guest speaker to my college Intro to Psych course and the students really enjoyed his talk. He made many relevant points and helped the students connect the textbook reading on states of consciousness to the real world and practice. He was generous with his time and effort to my class and I would recommend him as a speaker for anyone! So I knew basically nothing about hypnosis until I met Dan… He explained quite a bit and got me interested in the concept of using it therapeutically… After that and a very enthusiastic reference from a church friend I decided to give it a shot. I went in with little expectations so my mind was pretty open to a new experience. I thought very highly of the process actually, much better than previous experiences with traditional therapy which always seemed expensive, takes years, and ultimately seemed to serve only to aggravate whatever was going on at the time…
So glad I gave this a shot, I’ve only been once but will prob only need to go back once or twice. He also gave me tools to use for the rest of my life to avoid the negative patterns that lead me to need help in the first place. So I’d say the help he provides is pretty priceless:) Highly recommended for sure if you struggle with anxiety, negative patterns, etc!

A.) His technique worked in only ONE session!!! He was very professional, and I would certainly return if I ever needed hypnosis again.
B.) I have a TERRIBLE habit of eating things I shouldn’t. I asked if he could help me stop doing that… Thinking that he would have me come in and do another session. Instead, he gave me a FREE technique over the phone! Can’t wait to see how it works. I’ll get back to you on that one (if I can remember!).

I was as skeptical as they come about hypnosis to begin with. I pictured some guy with a pocket watch who would try to get me to cluck like a chicken! But the reality is that the hypnotic state is nothing unusual. We all experience hypnotic states on a daily basis. Having a trained professional there to guide your thoughts during the hypnotic state allows targeted ideas to solidify and become powerful driving forces in the mind.
I sought hypnosis for anxiety. Through hypnosis, I was able to reframe my thoughts so that the intrusive, threatening concepts that once kept my brain stuck in an endless anxiety loop were transformed into positive affirmations. Since this transformation, I have enjoyed a great deal of success in areas of my life that were once anxiety triggers. I highly recommend Dan!!!

I saw Dan because I was scared of heights and a nervous flier. I wasn’t sure if it would help me, but I was willing to try. He was very calming, and we went through the protocol. That night I went to the Astros’ game and was able to sit at the top of the stadium without any issues. I had never been able to do that before. Then I went and flew and I was so calm that it was remarkable. It turned seemingly scary things into nothing at all. Also, his customer service is first rate. He has continued to check on me and offer to do a follow up if need be. I give him my highest recommendation.

I have some procrastination issues that I was at my wit’s end with. I contacted Dan for a Hypnosis session to see if he could help me fight it on a subconscious level. It definitely wasn’t anything I expected. It was just like a relaxing conversation. But, it has helped quite a bit. I am doing much better at accomplishing tasks and not getting overwhelmed by them. I had the opportunity to work with Dan when I began to experience stage fright after having taught for many years. He asked questions to help understand what was causing my anxiety. He then began to take me through hypnosis and allowed me to truly relax and begin to conquer my fear of freaking out in front of a classroom of students. I am so happy to highly recommend Mr. Perez as a class A1 Hynosis professional from an interesting vantage point. I am a dentist and I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Dan the past few months.
I think his offered services for clients to help overcome their fear of dentistry, TMJ problems (grinding), and smoking cessation is an invaluable help to society. Many people don’t realize how important these services can be. I believe his methodical approach to helping his clients with their fears and/​or wishes is logical and done in a supportive environment.
I am so pleasantly surprised that Dan can help even clients who DON’T live in the Houston area through modern technology. Dan can do a lot of his therapeutic methods through Skype. Imagine that.
