The candy was expired from 2013(Chico sticks). Also the receipt didn’t show what I bought just says taxable and number of items with a total. Never going to an icebox again. P. s. the icebox on Alief overcharged me when I went there.

Mediocre breakfast tacos on fresh tortillas with uncleanly conditions and slow, impersonal service.

With gas being high as hell nowadays(thank God it’s been really low lately) it’s certainly not uncommon for me to do gas station drive-by’s, comparing prices when it’s time for me to fill up the whip. That being said, Icebox has been my go-to spot lately as they tend to be cheaper than any other station on this end of Westheimer. This is a 24 hour Texaco branded gas station that has about 16 pumps– all easy to access with plenty of vehicle space at each individual station, and most importantly LOTS of lighting at night! The store’s exterior is always very clean. Not once have I come here and seen it trashy and unkempt. I always get the biggest bang for my buck because I have their Texaco gas cash card. If you get gas here, definitely go inside and get a cash card. Seriously! It’s free and once you load cash onto it and use it at the pump, you get about 8 cents off the retail price. This weekend gas was $ 2.55(lower than any other station in the area) but because I loaded cash onto my gas card, I paid $ 2.47 per gallon– W.I.N.N.I.N.G. The inside of the store is just as neat and clean as the outside. I haven’t been in their restrooms but I’m sure this is one of those places where if you absolutely had to use a gas station restroom, you’d want to do it here because of it’s overall appearance. They sell tacos and have a pretty decent sized coffee station. There’s also an ATM on the inside and just like most c-stores now, they carry all your random cell phone gadgets and accessories– all merchandised very neat, I might add! The owners seem to be cool. I’ve actually had a conversation with one– he was nice and didn’t mind discussing their gas prices vs. the competition’s. Despite the high and low gas trends, I know I can always rely on Icebox to have the lowest of them all, which is why I always check here first before gassing up anywhere else in this area. It’s totally worth it!

The 5-stars are for the gas prices. The store itself deserves 4 stars minimum as well. Ive been frequenting this place since it was a Stripes. Now its called IceBox and though its lost a lot of its personality and now looks incredibly plain, i still visit for the following reasons: 1. Nostalgic value 2. Great value: Cheapest gas within a 100 mile radius 3. Laredo taco Company built-in: cheap authentic breakfast tacos 4. Selection: from cigs to coffee to liquor 5. Ample pumps/parking Im not entirely sure about how i feel about the new management so far. Guess its a new style i would have to get used to???

I stopped in here one day to grab a breakfast taco one day on the way to work as I was filling up for gas. What a surprise. $ 0.99 breakfast tacos! These are some of the best tacos I’ve had in a while. Fresh(bake while you’re there) tortillas, fresh salsa bar, and a great seleciton of «stuffing». We go here all the time for breakfast, as it’s right around the corner for us. If you’re looking for something quick and yummy — this is the place. Way better than Taco Cabana, Taco Bell, and all those other«fast food» joints. Yes — you’ll have to get out of your car, but well worth it.

I wish all gas stations and corner stores were like this. I seriously mean that. I judge every single gas station using this corner store as a comparison. It was the Big Gulp that really drew me to this place. I require a lot of liquid throughout the day and the big gulp fountain drinks elsewhere simply have not been big enough. Stripes has those giant 60 oz cups that are so big, they can’t fit into a cup holder which is just perfect to get me through the day. So I started going for the fresh brewed tea and naturally stayed to browse as one typically does at a corner store. This place makes tacos and has a topping bar for said tacos… ANDTHEYAREFREAKINGDELICIOUS! I really didn’t want to believe it at first when I first walked into this corner store one morning to see a crowd of people formed at the bar to custom order breakfast tacos from the adorable ladies that are there every morning. I don’t think they are ever there past noon, but they normally wrap soft tacos in foil and leave them in a display case with heat lamps along with fried chicken, burritos and corndogs. I wouldn’t touch anything in that display past 4:00PM but if you do happen to be here, get your hands on one of these tacos. The topping bar is still stocked and the barbacoa is solid. I just had one earlier today and I’m craving another right now! A friend was describing tortillas from the south west regions of Texas and said it was different than Houston tortillas. I want to assume that the tortillas at this location are exactly what he was talking about. The texture and thickness is completely different and the change of pace is much appreciated. This quick stop is also better stocked than most. I mean, come on! It is good enough to get a complete 5 star review from me, so it has gotta be good!
