They sent a guy out, took up a good hour of my time, and then failed to even send a quote. I emailed and called, but I never heard anything. Very unprofessional.

I hired JB Irrigation & Services to find and repair a pipe/​sprinkler leak in my front yard. I paid $ 158 in parts & labor for a new sprinkler valve… but the water leak wasn’t fixed! JB returned two days later and replaced a PVC pipe joint, charging me an additional $ 322. So, after two visits and paying $ 480, my leak was finally repaired. JB Irrigation only accepts cash or checks and payment in full is required the same day work is performed. This company’s labor rate is $ 105/​hour for first hour and $ 95/​hour for each subsequent hour. I researched other sprinkler contractors and found $ 60/​hour is typical in the Houston area. When I expressed my concerns about overpaying to Justin (JB Irrigation’s owner), his attitude was very defensive and he tried to justify the excessive fees charged. Exorbitant fees & poor customer service! Steer away from JB Irrigation & Services.

I had excellent repair service from these guys. I had a low water pressure problem in one of my zones and they were able to come out the next day. They also figured out the problem very quickly and made sure that all of the sprinkler heads were working properly (and getting good coverage) before leaving. I was pleased with the professionalism and expert knowledge of my serviceman. Would definitely use them again!

I would give this company zero stars if I could.
They sent out a sub-​contractor to fix the sprinklers at my mom’s house.
The guy had a horrible attitude, tried to rip my mom off, actually he did.
My mom found this company in the yellow pages.
Called them up, they told her that they would charge about $ 80 for the first hour (service call) and about $ 90 for each additional hour.
The guy came to our house, told my mom he knew exactly what the problem was and would fix it for a flat all inclusive $ 350.
My mom agreed (he overcharged her), he was mistaken in his assessment, said it was getting dark and needed to leave. He then asked my mom for payment, and my mom told him to come back tomorrow and to fix it and then she would pay. All throughout this experience, he had a horrible attitude. So at this point, he was livid. He demanded to paid that day and told us that he would have a collection agency with the city come and have us pay. So, obviously his unprofessionalism has gotten him in this situation before. So eventually, he came back and «found» the problem, and fixed it. But before doing that he kept messing with the back sprinklers, even though the problem was with the front sprinklers. My mom kept asking him, why he was in the back when the problem was in the front. He kept telling her to «let him do his job». Well, after my mom paid him the full amount and he left, my mom turned on the sprinklers and a couple hours later our neighbor came over to tell us that our backyard was flooding.
The next day, I called JB Irrigation and Services, asked to speak with the owner, Justin Bielamowicz, told him our situation. I asked him politely if he could send someone out to our house again to undo whatever damages/​rewiring had been done to the back sprinklers, to restore them to their original condition. Mr. Bielamowicz had a horrible attitude. He was a real jerk. He told me that he would not send anyone back because the back sprinklers we’re malfunctioning because they were old, that we still owed him money, then he said he was hanging up. I asked him about the money we supposedly owed him, when I had the invoice in my hand, he didn’t respond to my inquiry, just went off with his temper.

I just wanted to write this, and explain the situation so people out there know not to use these guys.
Sorry if I went too long with my ranting. But it really makes me mad, when you pay for a service, you are entitled to that service. And what is with their attitudes? They were jerks to my mom and me. What is wrong with these people?
