The brand Kolache Factory has always been a personal favorite, but this location has terrible customer service, they often put the wrong kolaches in your bag and charge you for more expensive kolaches…

Every visit we find limited options as they stop making food so early! Half the menu is available unless you show up when they first open their doors.

I’ve been exposed to the Kolache Factory for many years but what had me roaming around Katy/Cypress one Saturday morning was that sausage and gravy Kolache. Kolache factory has been around for a minute and I’ve tampered with a few of their kolache combinations. Until someone else steps up and challenge that sausage and gravy madness, they will be the all-time shop for me… This was my first time visiting this particular location but the service was consistently quick and to-the-point!

This place has very friendly workers and seems to be pretty clean. I am a regular here and its quick but you have to watch your bank statement because they tend to charge you twice for your order and give you a receipt for one charge.

This place is great for a quick breakfast snack — never too busy when I’ve gone in(which is about 5 times in the two weeks since I’ve moved here! yikes!), the service is always fast. I only have two small gripes. 1. They don’t always heat up the kolaches to a consistent temperature. I don’t want them piping-burn my mouth hot, but I do want them to be warm, especially the ones with meat inside. It seems like they set the same time on their microwaves whether there is one kolache in the bag or three — obviously, there should be different times. I think they should have a microwave that is self-serve, so that I can heat it up to my own satisfaction(and then can only blame myself when I screw it up!) 2. They run out of some very popular kolaches fairly early. If you don’t get there before 9am or so, you won’t be able to get their basic sausage kolache. They also run out of a lot of other varieties. It seems to me they can look at what is selling, and then just make more of those. Small gripes, to be sure, but just annoying enough to deny them that final star. Perhaps someone will read this at kolache headquarters, and will look into this? :) (On a side note — kolache headquarters — it sounds like something out of Get Smart — Maxwell Smart must infiltrate Kolache Headquarters, and get to the bottom of the latest KAOS plot to take over the baked goods world! bwahahahaha)

This location here in Copperfield became my first Kolache addiction spot about 4 – 5 years ago. Since I had quit using Hiway 6 until the bridge over I-10 opened I had not been here for at least 3 years. Now that the bridge it open, I decided to give Hiway 6 another chance yesterday and stopped by to see if this place was still here. Not only is it still here, it’s bustling and get this, it has the same manager and he recognized me when I came in. How’s that for a memory of a customer?
