Good place for Salvadoran food. Give it a shot if you want to try more than pupusas(they also have pupusas if that’s what you want).

We have been coming here for several years and I always complained to my husband about the service but we kept coming back because the food was good but the last two times the food has been terrible. I ordered huevos rancheros(they are suppose to be over easy) today and after waiting 40 minutes for it, they were extremely cold and hard, when I told the waitress about it she took them back and 2 minutes later brought me the same plate burning hot after she microwaved the overcooked eggs. I told her that was unacceptable and she finally asked the cooks to make some fresh eggs but this time they forgot the Ranchero sauce. I was so frustrated that I couldn’t even eat my food. At the end they still charged us for the food I didn’t eat! Don’t waste your time and money going to this place.

Food is always fresh delicious and hot. Great prices plenty food. As far as the waitresses and customer service… HORRIBLE. extremely rude ignorant and unprofessional. An item off my husbands plate was wrong and instead bringing the correct one and removing the other, she laughed and pulled the plate from him while he was eating the rest of his food. I was furious. From now on take out.

This is one of the worse restaurant I’ve ever been in my entire life. Food is okay but their customer services is the worse. They always are rude and unhappy. Once I wait for over 40 minutes to get my order(normal breakfast) to the table. I was running late to work and I request to just put my food in to go box, the girl who was helping me she just dump the whole food in the box and everything go mixed. I was upset, I did pay for the food and I left it there. Horrible experience. I would not recommend this horrible place to anyone!

Zero estrellas! Las pupusas eran buenas en un tiempo pero esta ves estuvieron horribles! Aguadas/no cocinadas bien y el chicharrón no sirve para nada! Creo q después de comerme una siento q estaré enferma! No regresare jamás aquí! El servicio siempre fue tardado pero lo excusaba lo bueno q eran las pupusas ahora ewwww. Horrible the food was discussing I can’t believe I ate 1 and a half of a pupusa. Never again will I come here! Zero stars for this place

I am very pleased with their service. They give complimentary quesadillas(bread) with the purchase of coffee. It was nearly full when we arrived but our food didn’t take too long. If you want a pleasant experience and good salvadorian food I truly recommend this place.

I’ve been coming here for years with my family when we visited Houston. Now that I live here, I go every once in a while, but I’m never fully satisfied. The pupusas are good, but tend to be very greasy. Their tamales de elote are really good too. My mom buys them by the dozen when she visits. I came in with a friend for breakfast and both got the huevos rancheros with platano frito and refried beans. I opted not to get casamiento or crema. It also came with a piece of Salvadorian cheese. The only good things were the platano and the beans. The huevos rancheros were very disappointing. I’m Salvadorian and even though I don’t like spicy/hot things, the ranchero sauce was way too weak. I also got coffee and I did like the fact that it came with a piece of quesadilla(Salvadorian sweet bread). The service is a whole ‘nother story. Very slow and can sometimes be rude.

I have eaten there before the food was ok nothing special. But I won’t be eating there again after my mom witnessed one the workers stocking the sweet bread drop one on the filthy floor and when she thought no one was looking, she went ahead and put it back. When my mom told another worker what she saw and the lady was called over instead of saying sorry, she denied it completely. If they do this out in the open you can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen!

In my quest to find good pupusas in Houston, I think I’ve come close. I am Salvadorean, so finding a pupusa that compares to the ones in El Salvador is hard to find. I ate dinner at La Roca after soccer practice. Needless to say, we were hungry! We had platanos fritos, pupusas, and tamale de elote. The tamale was moist served with fresh crema. The platanos were fried to perfection, served with refried black beans and fresh crema. If the plantain hasn’t been properly matured before cooking this dish can be a disaster. Not here. The pupusas were very big, Texas style big. In El Salvador the pupusas are generally smaller. They were not shy on the cheese either, oozing out of the pupusa as you tear it apart. We washed it all down with refrescos naturales, orchata and maranon. Delicious. The service was fast, and we were stuffed like kings. for 2 people we spent $ 17.
