Late Nite Tattoos

I wish I would have read the reviews before I went to this shop! This place was very CLEAN, Staff very friendly, equipment was disposal, very professional. BUT!!! Mike did my tatoo, he doesn’t know detail! I should have asked for Nate!

Wow. This joint is run by bad people. I called in about a piercing I wanted to get done while I was in town to visit my brother, and asked about sterilization and piercing the cartilage part of my ear. The person was not only impatient, but had no idea what he was talking about. Didn’t inspire a lot of confidence.
The worst part though, the person put me on hold to (saying «I guess I can ask someone» about my question), and I could hear them talking at length about a customer who had apparently come into the store earlier. They referred to TWO racial groups using racial slurs. Really? With a potential customer on the phone? I don’t know if these guys were on drugs or what, but they were clueless and suffice it to say, unprofessional. When the guy got back on the phone, I asked to speak to the manager, and he said he was the «owner.» Uh yeah, even worse! If that’s true, the owner of the store is a racist and clueless about his trade. Great combo. I pretty much hung up on him.

This place is a joke. The tattoo artist had no input whatsoever about my friend’s design concept even though my friend was clearly asking for advice. The artist also seemed highly uncomfortable with doing an original design. My friend wanted the tattoo to run from the top of his ribcage to his hip bone, but the artist was very resistant and kept making remarks like «I just don’t think you should get a tattoo there». Instead of trying to collaborate with my friend about the location of the tattoo, he was trying to convince him to place it somewhere that may have been easier for him to tattoo.
So basically, where we asked for the artist’s advice we got none. Where we didn’t ask for his opinion, he was very pushy with his opinion.
Just a negative experience overall. But what prompted me to write this review was the cherry on top: SHAKY line work. Ughh. My friend says it can be fixed with a touch up, but it shouldn’t have happened to begin with when you expect professional work.

I have gotten 6 tattoos here and have been happy with every one. J is a straight up guy. Very clean shop and runs a tight ship with all his employees.

Got my tongue pierced and 2 tats here. Love this place!!! Amazing artists on staff. Will definitely be going back
