History
Established in 2007.
On his very first day of private practice, Seth Kretzer was appointed to represent a man accused of killing 19 people in an ill-fated alien smuggling run in South Texas.
The federal government brought its enormous resources to bear in pursuit of the DEATH penalty.
When the dust settled, the Fifth Circuit unanimously ruled that this case was never death-eligible, and the client received a massively reduced sentence in prison. This was a far cry from the death sentence the Government asked for.
Going in, no one thought Seth had a chance. But after that victory, Seth knew he had found a niche for his talents, and a practice area where he could make a difference.
In the years since, Seth has stood up for defendants in courts from El Paso to Beaumont, taking over twenty appeals to oral argument, and filing dozens of writs of habeas corpus
