Le Chung Jewelry

My fiancé and I came here to resize her engagement ring the day I proposed (a Sunday). They were one of few jewelers open. The service was quick, and reasonably priced compare to some other places. Nothing to complain about. I was very satisfied.

I found my perfect engagement ring here and had the best service ever! I randomly came in on a Sunday knowing nothing about diamonds or jewelry in general. Andrew helped me and educated me on everything and he was SOO patient with me. I didn’t buy anything that day but i really appreciated the lesson. I came back 2 more times before I bought my ring and every time I came by, Andrew was always a pleasure to talk to. The prices were great and I didn’t have to shop around and the service can not be any better! Dat did an awesome job setting in my earrings :) everyone here is great! So glad to have found a great family run jewelry store!

Details:
I called in advance to see if Le Chung could repair a delicate silver necklace chain. I left a message because it was after hours and they called me back the next morning, so they had a really quick response time, even though a chain repair isn’t going to bring in much money for them.
When my husband brought the chain in, they were able to fix it in 30 minutes and it cost only $ 10. I have had a similar delicate chain repaired at a jewelry place in the Rice Village and it took longer and cost 3 or 4 times as much (though I’m not sure if it was silver or white gold or another similar colored metal).
This was the easiest jewelry repair I have ever had (especially because I sent my husband — ha). Plus, they are even open until 7pm, which makes it more convenient to get there outside normal work hours.

Me and my fiancé made a stop by an American engagement store and spent hours in there… we decided to keep shopping around and went to Le Chung. The moment we stepped in I told Andrew that we were looking for engagement rings and from there the process was easy and quick! We picked out the diamond, setting, and both of our wedding bands within 30 minutes of arriving. The setting is gorgeous! The experience was wonderful. Andrew wasn’t pushy; he was patient, and everything was straight to the point. He offered to give us a discount without us asking. They sized our rings, mounted the diamond, and had it all wrapped up beautifully in the boxes within an hour. Overall, the price, service, and experience was great. We ended up getting a better diamond at Le Chung for thousands (yes, thousands) less than the American place. With the American place we would have been over our budget with just the diamond by itself! But walking out of Le Chung with everything we got we were still under the budget of what we wanted to spend! Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I got engaged on Saturday, December 20^th, however, I’ve got chubby fingers and the ring did not fit! I was devastated since I knew that I wouldn’t be able to wear the ring till at least Monday, since most jewelry shops are closed on Sunday, and may not even be able to wear it till after Christmas! However, determined to find a reputable jeweler, my fiancé (!!!) and I hopped on Unilocal and found Le Chung Jewelry. We called in advanced and they told us to come on by and they could help us out. We went in and we’re greeted immediately by Andrew who took an accurate measurement of my finger and stated that they could re-​size my ring for $ 80, in less than 2 hours. I almost burst into tears of joy, I was beyond thrilled. We ran errands, came back and the ring is PERFECT. Honestly, it’s almost like magic, you cannot see where the ring was soldered or where there was material added. Andrew kept the ring the same consistency and thickness, I am still amazed. We would recommend this place to anyone and are so happy that we found a local jeweler to help us with our future needs!

Having very little experience at jewelry stores this visit was pretty pleasant.
Got a ring as a gift and needed it resized and they did it in less than an hour for about $ 80. Browsed some very nice rings while there and the salesman (I think son of the owner) was very knowledgeable and had us try on a lot of things with no pressure at all.
It is a Vietnamese run shop but language was no problem.

Last Christmas, I received a beautiful necklace with a pearl enhancer from my boyfriend. He lives overseas, so he ordered it from a very well-​known jewelry store (not Le Chung) and had them gift-​wrap it so that it would be ready and waiting for me to open when he got here to Houston for a two-​week trip. The enhancer was supposed to have three small strands of pearls hanging from it, and one of the strands was missing!
Needless to say, it was an extremely upsetting event for both myself and my boyfriend. It was a nightmare with that place from then on, as they could not even tell us whether they could fix it since it had been discontinued, then it took them two months to actually fix it. When I finally got it back, it was a nightmare all over again! The links for the strand that had been missing looked absolutely nothing like the links of the two original strands, and was not even the same length! I was heartbroken again and wanted to be sure that I brought it somewhere that could save this very precious gift.
I decided to go to Le Chung Jewelry after reading reviews on Unilocal,and am so grateful I did! Andrew could not have provided me with a better experience after the fiasco at the other place, and he gave me great confidence in his father’s abilities. He truly went the extra mile, and even though I bought this jewelry from another store, Andrew provided me with information on how to take care of my pearl necklace and enhancer… since the jewelry store we originally went to did not offer this information. I was not disappointed when I picked up my enhancer, with matching links! I love that this is a family-​owned business, and although I did not get a chance to really look at their selection of jewelry, I much preferred the selection I saw to most mainstream jewelry stores.
I am making this my go-​to place for any jewelry needs, and am actually going to see soon about them doing some custom work for me. I really could not recommend them highly enough!

A nice family owned Jewelery shop. The father is the crafter and designer behind their beautiful pieces. He is there daily working on a new piece or fixing up one. You can even watch him from the window.
It’s about time I write a review for this place since I have purchased multiple jewelry pieces from here over the past 10 years. I have traded in my set of bracelets for new one’s once I had out grown them and bought a pair of gold earrings after losing one on a vacation in cancun. It just so happens that I have found the jewelry I liked from this location. I did look around bellaire and american shops but I always found the one I liked most here.
The service they provide is very professional, kind, and respectful. They will give you time to browse as you like without forcing you or even hovering over you. Whenever you need them, they will be ready to assist and provide help/​advice when you ask for it. Their prices are competitive and they will even match the price of their competitors.
The mister and I were just here to browse their engagement ring selections and they have something for everyone. From the classic, the vintage, the modern, and even the extreme. Their settings are definitely unique and one of a kind. What they have on display is what they have… Once its sold it is sold and the setting is not re-​created. They also do custom ring designs to fit the person and the size of the diamond.
They are very patient with you as well and I also like how they do try to get to know you to get a feel of what you like. One of the top selection I liked was from one he had selected for me. They will work with your budget to get what you like but within your means. I appreciate those jewelers who take the time to educate the buyer as well.
So0o. in Summary… if you are in the area, I do recommend this place to stop by and take a look at their collection. (located in the complex where Sinh Sinh is but to the right of it). If you don’t have to have the name brand stamped to it, then come here. If you need the name, go to Minh Tri down the street.

Le Chung’s prices are certainly better than any American chain that you could go to. It’s a small family run business that gets passed down from generation to generation. You will find father, son, and daughter working side by side. I came here to look for engagement rings and although their quality is good they do not have a large selection to choose from. They also did not have the diamond that I wanted on hand either which is why I was slightly disappointed. Overall the service was friendly and not overbearing. They are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
