Their iced coffee is to die for! I never tasted anything like it. I even bought their coffee beans home to make but it isn’t the same! The bakery was limited and I bought a coconut waffle, which became very hard and chewy. I bought the pa dar chaute?(Pork was very small inside). Overall, the iced coffee was amazing, wish they had different sizes, I had to order two to satisfy my thirst!

Calling all you caffeine addicts looking for your daily morning dose of coffee! The highly addictive and intoxicating iced coffee(café sua da) is the only reason I even bother going into Lee’s Sandwiches. This smaller location is conveniently off the Beltway feeder road in a small shopping strip in front of the Viet Hoa shopping complex, across from Hot Pot City. As of December 2015, $ 3.49 is how much cash you must have on hand to purchase this caffeine concoction of pure sweet coffee goodness. Remember that cash is king in Chinatown– don’t ever forget that!(Don’t judge me but I have paid in coins before because I was that desperate for coffee). There isn’t a drive-thru so you’ll have to actually get out of your car and walk in to get your cracka-licious iced coffee. Not to fret, there is plenty of parking away from the crazies trying to shop at Viet Hoa so you are safe. They have a smaller selection of Vietnamese goodies and such, but you don’t need to worry about that because you’re only there for the iced coffee! Now you will understand why there isn’t a Starbucks in Chinatown– Lee’s iced coffee is all you need to satisfy that coffee addiction. Go get a cup or two and you can go about with the rest of your day happily and high on caffeine!!!

This is my go-to place for Vietnamese iced coffee. It is always strong and mixed well the way I like it: creamy and slightly bitter. It is perfect for me for a morning pick-up(especially a late-night). As for the sandwiches, I only order the egg sandwich without the pâté. The reason for my 4 stars is because sometimes they get my order wrong and put the pâté inside after I told them no pâté. But the eggs are made fresh when you order and sometimes are cooked halfway letting the creamy yolk drip or run in the sandwich(which I personally like). The customer service is mediocre(you can get the cheerful young girl at times.) The place is kinda clean every time I have visited. I also have tried their chicken and pork pâté chaud which are fried pastries ready to eat under the heated lamp/heated area to your right of the cash register. I have ordered a bunch of those in the past for a brunch/lunch with family and friends to have something different and everyone said they were delicious to eat and enjoyed it!(Warning they can be a little greasy for being deep fried.) Always be back for the coffee tho! Cheers

This was my first time to visit a Lee’s Sandwiches. It came highly recommended by a co-worker. Above all, I was disappointed. The Banh Mi is very average, skimpy on the meats and veggies. It is served COLD sort of like a Jimmy John’s or an Antones sandwich you’d pick up ready made. That’s okay… some like it hot and some like it cold… But it was extra cold! The bread is excellent, however. Service is fast and friendly. They accept cash only but there is an ATM. Thai Tea is of the powder variety and was extremely strong, almost undrinkable, like it was concentrated. There are way better Banh Mi options in the area and I don’t think I’ll be back.

Great stop in the mornings for a quick fix on their famous ice coffee. They are pretty quick and usually have other things to grab and go.

I like the strawberry smoothies. The sandwiches are good too and the food is relatively cheap. They only accept cash though. Overall good experience when I go here.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. I’ve just recently learned about these yummy sandwiches & wish they were available closer to where I live. The place was basically empty, but it was late afternoon. I figured it was cash only since they have an ATM inside the restaurant. Ordered a grilled pork to go & looked everything over while waiting. They have a few baked goods & interesting candies around the counter. I really enjoyed the sandwich! The bread was crispy & fresh. Do they make it on site? The pork was tender and not stringy. They put pickled carrots, onions & daikon in addition to the cilantro which gave lots of flavor… plus some large slices of jalapeño. Can’t wait to go back and have another. As I was leaving a man got a ‘drink’ that was a beautiful lavender color & looked delish! I asked what it was… taro. I re-checked the menu & saw many different flavors that look like something I’ll try next time.

Great Vietnamese coffee… great and affordable! Super strong, creamy, and sweet as it should be. I had the jitters after drinking all that caffeine but was super focused!

I don’t really like this place but their café su da(Vietnamese coffee) has some voodoo in it. It’s so good and I can’t figure out what they put in it to make it so tasty. The sandwiches here are a little overpriced and I’ve noticed that the meats and veggies in their sandwiches have been tasting very bland lately. They have free wifi, gelato and some other snacks for purchase.

Of the 2 locations I’ve tried in Houston, this one is the worst and has a miserable atmosphere. Every time Ive been, its usually dead inside and maybe only a couple of people are sitting at the outside tables. I’ve tried the sandwiches, smoothies and vietnamese coffee here and I only really like the coffee, it’s some of the best in town. Other than that, I can’t recommend this place.

The sandwiches are tasteless and your pretty much filing up on bread! The smoothies at kims café are 10x better than lee’s sandwiches, they have a weird taste to them. This was my first and last time coming here! I am very disappointed with this place…

I have been to over six different Lees locations in five different states and this was the worst location yet. The AC was working and the service was slow and worrisome(another customer stood in lime for over ten minutes and ended up walkong out without the staff even knowing) the overall restaurant cleanliness was disgusting and the general atmosphere was dismal. However… the only bright spot this location had to offer was that the food and drinks were on par and good tasting I would not recommend this location No seconds for me

I got the #6 pork bbq sandwich. Ooooh wee! At first sight I was like, «this sandwich is dry.» But ohhhhhh when I took that 3rd bite! I was in love! Debated on going back right after work. But decided against it. Maybe tomorrow. But $ 3.00! Can’t beat that.

Lee’s Sandwiches FAN!!! I love their iced coffee! It’s a must! I always get the #11 Special Combination Sandwich and coffee every time! The size is much smaller than the one in Bellaire. But the taste is the same!

Pretty slow service and when I entered the place I felt like my life was being sucked out. The place barely had any lights on and there were only 2 workers. I waited a while to be helped and I saw others waiting for their order to be done too. When I was helped I was told right away that there were no more sandwiches. At first I was a little thrown off by that since I was not there for those… lol Got my food within a few minutes since it was just boxed stuff lol But… I don’t think I will be coming here again just because of how I felt coming in there. Also, they did not accept card. Cash only folks, boo…

There are soooo many places you can get way better banh mi in Houston! Skip this place if you are craving those yummy sammiches, the bread is hard, skimpy on meat, just blah. BUT – they have reallllly good fried chicken wings! I cannot explain it! When they are hot out of hte fryer, they are pretty darn good! When my son comes home from college, this is one of those things he really wants to have ;)

THISPLACEISSLOW!!! I don’t go to Lees for their sandwiches cuz I know better. Their banh mi is pretty damn disgusting, but I continue to come back for their café sua da(Vietnamese iced coffee). That stuff is like crack. I got the normal $ 3 café sua da for now and a $ 5 concentrated bottled version for later. The bottle makes 3 normal sized servings when you add milk or ice. Too bad the DFW Lee’s location closed down. Yall Houston people are lucky to have two of these crack places. Anyway, this place needs to hire more staff. With such a super long line, no wonder the lone cashier was grumpy. One dude was behind the counter making sandwiches while the grumpy cashier was in charge of drinks. The cashier kept on speaking Vietnamese to me and I kept replying in English, which was really annoying. CASHONLY of course. They have an ATM inside. So GHETTO!!!
