Lone Star Chevrolet Collision Center

This is by far some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Everyone I have spoke to has been beyond rude. I had a friend who worked there so I assumed the place was highly thought of. Clearly I was wrong. Every person presented themselves as if I was just wasting there time and could really care less about helping me or what I had to say. After I sent my car back for a second time to get fixed since the body shop couldn’t do it right the first time, I went ahead and had them put the spare back on my vehicle which conveniently disappeared after the wreck. So here we are six months later with a flat tire on the side of the freeway with my wife and kids stranded and a vehicle with six lug nuts that can’t fit into a five lug nut spare. How lazy do you have to be. If I was as bad at my job as these folks are at theirs somebody would lose their life. Thoroughly disappointed.

Had an appointment for 7am for a recall repair and a oil change. This was all done 2 hours which was quick. Derek Duerer did a wonderful job with service, very detailed in giving me answers. Handed the Cashier $ 100, the oil change was $ 88.32, but received back $ 10.58 instead of $ 11.68. Was short $ 1 and some change, but not a big deal. Still 5 stars.

I would recommend this place only to my enemies. They spent 4 weeks fixing a sunroof. Their customer service is awful, disrespectful and ghetto. They charged equally at the company that made the car (volkswagen,) however, Lonestar had no idea how to fix it. They ended up taking the car to Volkswagen. No one contacted me during the reparation process, I had to call or walk by. The day I was picking up my car a customer was at the front desk complaining for the same issues. When they finally delivered the car, the sunroof was not working. I had to take it to Volkswagen.

I was initially told I would be out of here no later than 1pm for a new tire. Now it’s damn near 2:30 & they’re telling me it’ll be another hour & a half. Mind you I came in before 12. All this for one new tire. Smh. They first told me the tire was in stock. & after two hours of waiting, they found out the tire was not in stock & they have to order it, which is the reason for the delay. Smh. Horrible customer service, & horrible communication.

Great dealership! Marcus helped me get out of my car and into a truck after discovering the dealership i bought my car from had screwed me over on my contract and added stuff onto my car without telling me so they could jack up price. so dont buy from Robbins chevrolet. Thank you lone star for helping me out and giving me what i wanted at a great deal and getting me out of the mess robbins put me in! Marcus is a people person and handled my dad well because my dad can sometimes be difficult and not very understanding. My mom was understanding which was good. I also loved that i got to take a picture with my truck and there gonna send me a calender with the picture on it. Even wore my Chevy Cheyenne shirt to take my picture in and the lady who took my picture was super nice! THANK YALL!!!

When I went in, I brought my nephew with me and I was actually looking for a Chevy Cruze. We met the salesman that had helped him purchase his wife’s car and we went to look at the cars.
The thing I liked the most was when I said I couldn’t find anything that I liked, the salesman didn’t try to push me and talk me into buying something he knew I wouldn’t be happy with. That’s integrity.
He did suggest the Malibu, but I was reluctant because I knew the Malibu was a little more than I could afford. However, after going through all the options and seeing what was available in my price range, we were able to find a car and I got it at the price I needed.
I like the way Lone Star is willing to do whatever it takes to get you the car YOU WANT, not the car they want to put you in just to make a buck.

I went to Lone Star to buy a Suburban, but ended up with a loaded Silverado LTZ instead. The selection on Suburban’s was a little picked over (right after Christmas, to be expected) and when we sat in a Silverado truck on the showroom floor, realized the interior amenities were basically the same as the Suburban.
Our salesman Corey was outstanding, very polite and helpful in every way — including going to bat for us during price negotiations. At one point while he was out rounding up a vehicle to test drive, another salesman came over and started up a conversation about the Silverado’s. He was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.
Getting through Finance was a breeze — by far the easiest experience ever. And they managed to get us a better deal on interest rates and financing terms than we expected. And there was no pressure and time-​wasted on all the up-​sell add-​ons (probably helped that I bought the top of the line, as there wasn’t much else to add on).
There can be no doubt, this was the best new car experience I have ever had, and I have bought a lot of cars over the past 35 years.
I highly recommend Lone Star Chevy for friendly, helpful sales people, fair pricing and a «frictionless experience» in car buying like I have never before experienced.

I purchased our 2014 Chevy Silverado from here and have brought it for service on many occasions. they are amazing here.

Not satisfied with my experience at all, and I had such high hopes after reading all their online reviews.
I was recently rear-​ended, and the other driver’s insurance company, i.e. the party that would be paying for everything, gave me a list of local body shops at which I could have my car repaired. I selected Lone Star because I preferred a dealer’s collision shop, they have a great reputation as a dealer, the dealership had a car rental business onsite, and the collision shop had solid online reviews. I was even more encouraged when I read the customer thank you notes and cards on the bulletin board of the Loan Star Collision Shop lobby.
The encouragement ended right about then, as everything afterward just seemed like a series of mishandled communications.
For starters, the insurance company told me I could drop my car off at any time, but once I got the collision shop to estimate the damages, my estimator said I had to make an appointment to come back and drop off my car. Once the shop started the work, my estimator told me they would call me with an update within a certain weeklong timeframe, but I had to call and get an update from them once that week had passed.
Finally, they told me my car would be ready for pickup on a Monday afternoon. I called that Monday morning to confirm the car would be ready, and they told me it wouldn’t be ready until Wednesday. I knew right then they would put in the extra effort to try to have all work complete and the car ready for pickup on Tuesday, but by then I didn’t care. Sure enough, they called late Tuesday afternoon and said my car was ready for pickup. However, it was too late in the day for me to get there before they closed. When I picked my car up on Wednesday, the collision work was satisfactorily done, but the heat, which was functional when I dropped my car off at Lone Star, had stopped working. I imagine that if I pressed hard enough and often enough, the insurance company would have authorized having that fixed, but by then I was just tired of dealing with this place.
I had an inkling to take my car to one of the other collision shops on the list the minute my estimator said I needed to leave, call and set a drop off appointment, and come back. That said, I take full responsibility and ownership for my bad experience here. In Lone Star’s defense, my car is a Pontiac, i.e. no longer in production, and the collision shop had a healthy backlog of vehicles to repair. However, the most egregious transgression in this case is that I never felt like a valued customer.

Great place. I got in a bit of a fender bender and my insurance company referred me to Lone Star. I was a little skeptical because I don’t drive a Chevy, but I Googled them, and they have pretty good reviews all over the web. So I entrusted my baby to them.
Lone Start took care of everything. I got my rental car quickly, and they were very responsive about the timeline of things. They returned my calls and let me know right away when they found more damage. Lone Star worked with my insurance company, so I didn’t have to deal with any back and forth. They were honest and upfront about delays and knew exactly what was going on at all times.
