Service was great, but food was not up to par at all. It was not delicious. Strange flavor and fajita beef tasted frozen.

This place has never been an example of fast service, but very disappointing today at lunch. Food was usual, but not good enough to make up for delays in seating, and poor service at the table. For a holiday, surprisingly small crowd, even smaller than usual Friday or Saturday evening, but 40 minutes to seat 4+high chair? 15 minutes from«we’re cleaning your table now» to being seated? Constant mixup with tableware request, confusion sorting out meals, 10 more minutes to get the check paid? Very frustrating. Won’t be making that mistake again.

Skip it!!! Waiters and help everywhere, and still waited over an hour on a Tuesday night for our food. Must be why the place is dead!!!

Horrible horrible horrible customer service. I called to get on the wait list to find that they didn’t place is on the list. My friends love this place but the service left more than enough to be desired. There are plenty of other places that will treat me better and I’ll be happy to patronize!

Way overpriced. Food is good but… not worth the price. $ 20 for fajitas? Crazy! And the bartenders are always backed up between tending the bar, filling table drink orders, and handing to go orders. Every time I come here to sit at the bar I have to wait and wait to get my drink refilled. I have literally had to wave the bartender down or go find a manager just to get another drink! It’s not the bartenders fault… usually there are only one or two and they have to leave the bar frequently to go to the kitchen to bag up and retrieve to go orders.

Just went here for the first time this past week. The tortillas are amazing and the margaritas will knock you on your you know what! Down side it is pretty loud and the service could be better. All in all not too bad and would definitely go back again sometime.

Came here with some relatives who live in the area and they raved about the food. My husband and I love Mexican food so we decided to try it. I got a shredded beef enchilada that was absolutely delicious and the rest of the table got fajitas. I tried the fajita meat and it was excellent, as was the guacamole. The manager even came over and explained all the sauces to me which was very nice of him. The waitstaff was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back here!

I was really hoping to have a good meal of fajitas, but the food left something to be desired. 1) Since tortilla is part of the name, I expected good tortillas. NO… they were undercooked and rubbery. 2) Tortilla chips were soggy. 3) Rice and beans had too much pepper On the other hand, the guacamole was pretty good. And I didn’t have to cook. The bacon — wrapped shrimp was good, too.

Went there yesterday with some friends from work. It is a nice place with an laid back and open atmosphere. There was 4 of us with 3 kids. The service was slow getting our order, but after that it was better, we had the manager greet us(which always impresses me). The food was great we had two orders of fajitas barbacoas and it filled all of us. I had a margarita, and loved that too! Definitely a fan and will be back.

The fajitas are soooo good here! I always used to eat chicken fajitas cuz beef ones are often chewy or stringy, but the beef here is so tender & limey. Bringing charro beams with the chips is the best idea ever. The queso is my favorite too. Honestly they’re enchiladas aren’t that good, but that’s not what I come here for so I didn’t take any stars off for it. & of course they’re tortillas are huge & so fresh/homemade tasting for a chain. Everything’s pretty fresh tasting especially for a chain. The last time I went I actually got something different & tried the shrimp & rice stew. It was really good, it said texmex gumbo in the description & that’s exactly what it was. Good food every time!

Pick up service is awful. I’d already called in the order and was just there to pick it up and pay. Waited for 5 minutes at the«To Go» station with no one helping me. Finally I spoke to guy at the bar right next to the«To Go» station to ask for help and he said the lady would be there in a minute. Was waaay more than a minute before she showed up. And the place wasn’t even busy. If I had not spoken to someone not sure when anyone would have helped me. Awful service. Very rude. If you’re coming here to eat in recommend it. If it’s for take away service go someplace else. Don’t live in this area was getting food for a friend. Won’t come back here. Prefer the other locations.

The food is always good. Never a complaint. I recently had an exceptional visit. Do yourself a favor and ask for Robert. He was the best server I’ve ever had, at any restaurant. Was shocked to learn he was fresh out of training. My kid had a crappy attitude when we got there. Robert had him laughing in minutes. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. Detail oriented … Even replaced soggy coasters when he brought refills. Asked for boxes to go and he even boxed up the food, which typically doesn’t happen in lower end restaurants. Seriously the best service … Coming from a former server and restaurant manager. Ask for Robert. You’ll be glad you did.

Had not been to Lupe’s in a long(loooong) time because I didn’t really enjoy my last few meals there. Went a month or so ago and really loved it. Not sure if something has changed, but I will go back. The server was a bit immature, but didn’t really ruin anything. Food was really good — especially the hand-made corn tortillas(OMG!).

This place is just great! The service is so friendly and helpful and our drinks were always full. Not only that, there wasn’t even a wait for a table on a late New Years Eve. I was so impressed at the fact that the chips and salsa/bean dip was always refilled(its such a challenge to not fill up on chips). I ordered the queso dip as an appetizer and it was perfect. One of the best queso dips I’ve had. For my entrée I had the Cilantro Jalepeno Chicken and it was great. The chicken was cooked so well, and the plate was filled with rice and refined beans so you definitely get your money’s worth. I had a great experience here and I highly recommend it!

Only complaint I have is with the refried beans and Spanish rice. The beans were dry and had the consistency of old toothpaste. and the rice was hard and undercooked or just dried out. Everything else is really good and the staff and our waitress was very attentive and polite. Just tried this place again. Ordered the pork carnitas tacos along with my family’s order of steak fajitas and shrimp. While their meals were descent. My Tacos were a complete failure. My dish came out cold, and the pork was just a cut up cubed pork chop, that was way over cooked and hard as rocks that cut up the inside of my mouth on my 1st bite. While the staff was apologetic, they asked if I wanted something different and even brought something else to the table for me to try, but at that point I just wanted the bill. At least They removed my item from my bill, I know next time if there’s a next time, I will order the shrimp…

Based on the table side guacamole alone… I’d give this place 5 stars! Always have a great time there and love the food. I typically only eat the guacamole and queso cause that’s just my thing but I’ve had a lot of other dishes as well and they are all great. The giant burrito that they offer is seriously GIGANTIC so make sure you’re really hungry if you order that one or have someone to share it with. We went last week and had an amazing waitress who was awesome! Went above and beyond and really appreciated her service. Definitely great overall experience… My favorite Mexican place in the area for sure!

iNo wait on a saturday night at 8 for 2 Service was quick. We had the 1lb Fajitas. Very tender and has a nice citric taste to it. came with guacamole, pico de gallo, Cheese, rice and sour cream. The homemade flour tortillas were huge! you can wrap a burrito with it. like most mexican restaurants we had an order of chips and salsa, but they also served a side of charro beans i would come back.

This Lupe Tortilla has such great service. We had the most attentive waiter and our drinks were always filled/full! :) The fajitas are so good at Lupe Tortilla. If you like the thin tortillas you will really like their fajitas. If you do not like think flour torillas, they have corn tortillas that are not on the menu. These things are so good and fluffy– just ask for them! Happy hour is M-F starting at 3pm. I think it ends around 6pm.

I seem to come to this location more than others, even though it’s not my favorite one. I sit inside mostly, but they have a nice patio for outdoor seating. The interior is a typical Lupe designed layout with many different dining areas/rooms, making it feel more home-like. There is usually a wait on busy nights, like Friday and Saturday, but you can always go to the bar and grab a drink and come back to sit out by the fountain while you wait on one of the wooden lounge chairs. On a recent visit, they were promoting their crab entrees and watermelon margaritas, so I tried the margarita, to go along with my beef fajitas. I’ve always loved the chips and salsa(and beans) they bring out while waiting on your entrée to arrive at the table. Fajitas are consistently good, and are heavily tenderized. Used to be my favorite fajitas in houston several years ago. These are usually cooked medium, and you will rarely see any pink or red in your meat, like at Sitos. I also sampled their crab enchiladas and didn’t like them whatsoever since they taste like canned crab. Can’t really recommend them. Margarita was good though.
