Massage Heights Vintage Park

I arrived 10 minutes early for a 4 pm appointment. This is my third session here. The first was in a room where I could hear every guest entering and exiting and employees talking between clients. The therapist gave a mediocre massage and was incapable of closing a cabinet door quietly.
My second experience here was better. The room was quieter, and the therapist more skilled.
It is now 12 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, and I’ve yet to be taken to a massage room. This is beyond disappointing. Massage day is supposed to make you happy and calm, not angry and frustrated.

The guy didn’t do a bad job, but his communication was terrible and he was rushing to get out of there.
I’m not exactly a disgusting or huge woman, lol. I looked at the time from the second I walked in (they took me back late, not my fault) and the total massage time was 45 mins not an hour… one min of which was my fault.
The fact that he stopped 54 mins into the hour massage, after starting late bothered me even more.
Two of my biggest problem areas that I prefaced numerous times (quads and IT band) weren’t touched Bc he ‘didn’t have enough time’
Ok. That’s one of the main reasons I came in… if he wanted me to take my pants off to do so he could have communicated as much.
Five mins later he walks out as I’m paying and asks the manager to leave early… She granted him his wish. Ugh.

I was going to ask for an additional half hour if I enjoyed the massage but I wasn’t given the option and they were open another hour after

I really wanted to start getting a massage regularly, but I will never walk back into that place. I don’t want to run into that guy…
John was his name and he was ok until he didn’t hit my trouble areas, communicate and then cuts you short while making you feel like crap in the process.
Apparently he had better things to do. No idea why I got so unlucky as to get him recommended to me by the lady that worked the phone that day
The office lady seemed nice enough, but I still had to use my gift card on such a bad experience.
I still gave him a tip, although I wasn’t nearly as generous as normally would be
but that’s what you get when you treat people like they are wasting your precious time
I’m going to go take a warm shower to wash off the lotions and this crappy feeling

5 years+ later and Tammy is still amazing!
Tammy has worked out knots and issues in one session better than other places have in multiple sessions. When I’ve had shoulder problems she’s gotten to the root of the problem and worked it out (better than when I’ve gone to a chiropractor).
Regina is also really good.
I’ve never had a bad experience here. As far as the billing and membership stuff goes I think people do need to be aware of what they’re getting into. In general it seems like gyms and places with «memberships» like this make it difficult to cancel and it’s something we just have to deal with.

Awesome experience, nice environment, very clean and I enjoyed the massage. I’ll be sure to refer my family and friends to this place. Good massage companies with quality employees are hard to find. I will definitely be back.

I lost too much money with this place. The 6 month membership is a bit of a scam, dont do it!!! My card got cancelled due to fraud and around the same time I had two deaths in my family. A massage was the last thing on my mind and they were ruthless in getting new card info, dispite the fact that I told them I’d call them when I had time. I had credits for massages I never had time for even so they had my money already! I was the only one losing money and they acted like I was stealing from them. I hate this place and their massages aren’t that great. They came out ahead and I lost.

I love this place, been going there a few months and so far I have received stellar treatment. All of the reception area is super friendly and very attentive. Beau is great, get him if you can. I try and book early, he is that good. I work out a lot and I’m always sore. But after my massage, for a good solid week I am not sore. I feel much better than I did before I started coming here. The only thing that worries me is, after reading these reviews, I could have problems cancelling. If and when that occurs, I will come back and update. But so far, I have been treated wonderfully, it’s all been a plus.

Ok so it’s my turn to get ripped off:
I went in for my usual once a month massage last week. The next day they are debiting my account, as per our agreement. Then today, October 26, they are debiting my account AGAIN. So I called to see why and was told by ELI that this was the «usual time for my account to be debited» and they «thought the massage I got last week was an extra massage.» That’s quite an assumption; since when do I get two massages? So since I came in last week, I get charged for that massage and then get charged AGAIN for the time that my account is «normally debited.» What kind of mess is that? I asked them to credit my account, since I have only gotten one massage this month, not the two that I am being charged for. Oh, that’s not gonna happen, I’ll just have an «extra massage later.» I don’t want an extra massage later, I want my money back!
My contract ends in January and you have to give a minimum 30 days notice. I tried to give my notice today and OF COURSE «it’s too early to put your notice in.» Folks, I should have known it would be just a matter of time before I got screwed, too. This place IS the con others on here have called them.

Six month membership.
Five crappy massages.
I never made it to the sixth one.
And to seal the deal that this is the WORST massage place in the area — the last guy (fifth massage) actually HURT me. I have had hundreds of massages during my lifetime and know what a good «deep tissue» massage feels like and he didn’t have a clue. I certainly have never said «OW!» three times during a massage. He even apologized and told me that «he didn’t know his own strength sometimes.» Can’t remember his name — but he has long hair. BEWARE.
Never ever going back. They didn’t care that I complained. Kept my money and tried to call me countless times — — — NOT to say they were sorry — – but to sell me another six months. Crazy.

Great place. Try Beau! So professional and talented! Loved the hot stone massage. Convenient location in Vintage Park.

My sister and I booked a massage for my mother’s birthday as a surprise gift for her. None of us have ever been here and found out about this place online. When we called Massage Heights, we explained what exactly we wanted to do for my mother and they did need to keep a credit card on file to charge. I gave them my credit card information TRUSTING that this place would know how to apply charges to the right people. They advised me that the massage would be $ 69.99 and asked me if I wanted to add the gratuity. I agreed to a $ 15.00 tip. I noticed on my bank account that I was immediately charged $ 85.00 the same day I booked the appointment which was scheduled a week later. I figured maybe they just needed to collect the payment immediately even though the service hadn’t been done (who does that first of all?).
After my mother’s massage, I checked my bank account once more and noticed an additional charge of $ 69.99 was made to my credit card without MY CONSENT OR NOTIFICATION. I immediately called Massage Heights to question why I was being charge for a massage that was already prepaid. The girl I spoke to said she was the person who checked out my mother at the register and said that she didn’t show a prepaid amount of $ 85.00 on her account. I was then asked to provide a bank statement showing proof of the transactions. As frustrated as I already was to show them my PERSONAL bank account information, I emailed a copy showing the transactions. I emailed this to Kristen and didn’t hear from her for 4 DAYS. On the fourth day I sent an email to Kristen again and stressed the fact that this needed to be taken care of ASAP! A reply was sent back immediately only stating «A refund will be done today. I will call to discuss later.»
I did receive a missed call from her and tried reaching her back. She was apparently gone for the day. I checked my emails and saw an email from Kristen now stating that she cannot locate the $ 85.00 charge and the $ 69.99 charge so I would need to contact my bank to discuss the times these transactions were made. I already sent her a copy of my BANK STATEMENT showing money being taken out by Massage Heights!!! What more do you want???
I’ve left MULTIPLE messages for her to get back with me.
This place is ridiculous and Kristen has still yet to email/​call me to let me know if I’m getting this refunded. I now have to take the extra effort to cancel my current credit card and get a new one! I shouldn’t have to do this since this is THEIR FAULT.
I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone and never send my mother back and I sure as hell won’t be visiting this place myself!

I haven’t been to this location in like 2 – 3 years. … because the customer service was horrible and they had forgot to schedule me and acted like it was my fault for not double checking. Then after all of that my massage was horrible! !!! I have told anyone who is interested in this location to either go to massage envy or go to another location. I’ve gone to the cypress 290 location and i loved it but don’t go there anymore since my therapist left.. i tried another guy but he did a horrible job and talked the whole time. I feel massage heights as a whole is going down the drain.

One of the best massages I’ve had in awhile. I asked for a regular deep tissue massage for relaxation and that’s exactly what I got. Deanna was very thorough and I felt so relaxed the entire time.
After the massage, Deanna gave me a few great tips since she knew I workout daily. She said that she could tell I’ve been stretching and staying hydrated but I needed to concentrate more on side to side exercises and not just front and back (abs and butt). She also said that my chest felt tight so I need to work out my back more to even it out. This is the first time I’ve ever received any feedback from a masseuse but I took it as constructive criticism and have been concentrating on those areas in the gym. Thank you! I also learned that it’s good to take cold showers after working out so your muscles can recover quickly. Great tip for those of you who workout daily. You’ll have a more effective workout the next day.
The entire staff seemed quite friendly and I didn’t have any issues with my appointment at all. They texted me to confirm my appointment the day before and my masseuse was ready for me when I arrived.

Just came out of a 90 minute facial and 90 minute massage! Can you say RELAXATION. (: this was much needed and Ms. Lee and Katie Jo really took care of me. Ms. Lee was my esthetician and Katie Jo was my therapist. I highly recommend both of them. They will take really good care of you when you come in.

Tammy is wonderful. I have a physical job and with my new baby, I am having serious back pains. She was professional and friendly and did a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable and experienced on massage therapy.

Worst place ever. I don’t recommend anyone to go here! Poor customer service and even worse management– if you can even get a hold of them for any issues you may have. Go to massage envy. Great customer service and great staff!

As other reviewers have stated, scammy business practices. Impossible to cancel, they’ll run you around in circles. Came in and cancelled in person, I was told I was cancelled, then they kept billing. Of course they never called to see if I’d like to schedule an appointment in this time. I spoke to the manager on phone later and she said I had an «immediate cancel» but could not do anything about the charges they’d already put on my card which I had cancelled MONTHS prior to (they have a 30 day policy). She gave me some spiel about not having a signed cancellation form on file… if I came IN PERSON to cancel, THEY should have had me sign that. I don’t remember if I did, but either way it’s incompetence. I have little faith they’ll stop attempting to bill me, but that card is now cancelled, and charges reported as unauthorized, so good luck.
Hundreds of dollars down the drain with these people. Partially my own fault for not watching my statements, but they’re truly awful with respect to treating their customers. I have to wonder how much of their revenue comes from actual messages as opposed to memberships scammed.
Other than the ACTUAL message, my first trip was a nightmare as other reviewers have stated as well. Was given an «intro» price, but at checkout was told that that intro price was only good if I signed up for their membership. That should have been the red flag right there but I’m a sucker. They proceeded to lie to me and tell me that it would be acceptable to use and HSA card. That is highly inaccurate for just about every HSA offered in the US.

I used one of their «First Time Guest» Packages on Friday, 1÷30÷15 and I left there stressed! It was what I call the «Bait & Switch» tactic. I truly needed a massage and thought «wow, this sounds like a great deal» so I scheduled a 1 ½ hour massage with hot stones. Even after confirming my appointment later; they still got it all wrong!
When I arrived the person treating me asked if I was there for a facial massage and I said no… of course she figured it out since she wondered why I would be wearing make-​up. I then said I had stones included not a facial. She said she’d accommodate that and would let them know up front. Shortly after when the massage started at 1:15pm, I confirmed that I was getting a 1 ½ hr massage and she again said «no they have you scheduled for an hour massage». She said she’d let them know the issues I was having since I was not happy as a 1^st time customer.
Long story short when I got to pay, the only thing offered by their Lead Lifestyle Consultant was «free stones». I said «really $ 12 off for a first time customer?» She was rude by saying «It’s more than that — stones are $ 40» and I said «not under the new customer special». She continued to say that it would still be $ 20 under their New Customer Special. I even said I had a picture of the cost but I forgot I had turned my phone off and by then I just wanted to be gone after being treated so rudely by her in front of her other staff.
I was going to schedule bi-​weekly appts. but I just wanted to leave that place.
I later called the Mgr but he was not in… later the Assistant Director, Kristin called and said she agreed that customers shouldn’t be treated this way. She said she could throw in hot stones for my next visit. She said she couldn’t refund my money since they are a franchise and it would be hard to explain that I got my 1 ½ hrs massage but I interrupted her and said «that’s the problem; I didn’t get my 1 ½ massage». She then said that the people said I came back to the register around that time frame and I said «my massage started at 1:15pm and the therapist was showing me exercises at the end to do at home and by the time I left the room after relaxing». It wasn’t even 2 ½ hours on my receipt after arguing with the girl.
Kristin was to call me back after confirming and has yet to call me as of Monday, @ 1:40pm.

It’s a shame I really liked the lady who worked on me (I even tipped her DIA $ 30).

I really liked this place. For the $ 49 first time charge, it was definitely worth it. Nelda was really good. She listened to my concerns, and really worked on the painful spots. It was relaxing and peaceful.
I would like to say my friend that came with me had the same awesome experience, but her massage therapist didn’t listen to her, and it was not a relaxing experience.
The spa was very nicely decorated, they have heated tables, which I loved.

I enjoyed my massage and my masseuse very much. The facility is very clean and inviting and comfortable. I was given a gift certificate from a friend. The only down side for me is the pressure to join or get a membership when you are checking out. I do enjoy a massage and wish it was in my budget to splurge on a regular basis but it just is not & the hard sell just does not appeal to me. Other than that, this is a nice place in a great location & I will probably come back in a few months to try them out again.
