Memorial By Windsor

My fiancé and I absolutely love living here. It is in a great location, and so convenient to get anywhere. Not every high rise is the same, and I imagine we have some of the best views! You can’t go wrong, face east — great Houston skyline view, or face west — and see the bats each night from the Waugh bridge. 4^th of July fireworks — view from both sides!
The amenities are comparable, and the layouts/​design make you feel like you’re in a modern yet «homey» environment. Which is exactly what I’m looking for.
But the best part, the people! The concierge team knows residents by name, and the office personnel are intelligent, caring, responsive, and competent. (I’ve lived in apartments where the office personnel can make for quite a frustrating experience — but not here.) Not all residents are social, but if you’re outgoing you’ll quickly make friends with neighbors. And the residents come from all backgrounds, ages, and walks of life; which I love.
If you’re deciding on if this is the place to stay, hopefully this review will help with your decision. A honest review, from a resident who has happily renewed her lease, living here almost for two years now.

I have been living one year and a half on windsor memorial an its an amazing place! All the staff, concierge, leasing office, valet and maintenance are super nice, friendly and helpful, i always feel happy when I come home! Great location (direct acces to Allen parkway which is great!), amazing views, great resident events. My only suggestion will be only to be more flexible with the rules to rent the club room, but just that. I will recommend this place 100%

I could go on and on and on, but its as simple as people, personell and place. This is the most aesthetically designed and built building in Texas, with the best location in Texas. The team Brenda the area VP has built, is consistently second to none. We have the best leasing, concierge, valet and building team in the world and it’s been like this for the last 3 years we have lived here… everyone is here to please.
If you are looking for Four Season type service with a serene, tranquil and breath taking building this is the place for you!

Just signed my 3^rd lease at Windsor at Siena & still luv my apartment. The management, location, & general friendliness of place has been great. I do wish that the pool was larger. Also, the ‘events’ that are planned for residents (which are amazing!) need to be actually located on the property. Its inconvenient & lil bit weird to me to drive off property to have a neighbor-​fest.

My review today is based on how the concierge and sales office dealt with us and not based on living here.
I am house hunting or rather condo hunting and my realtor suggested this place. So we went for a visit last week.
When we arrived we valet parked, there was an option to self park but we didn’t. Building doors were opened for us and concierge greeted us with a smile. He offered us a seat, some cookies and water. Soon after we were pleasantly greeted by Kelsey from what I believe is the sales office. She came and introduced herself and took us in her office. Everyone was dressed professionally and place is sparkling clean. We advised my budget and move in preference date and she provided one available unit called the Kenkou a 1400 Sqft 2BR 2BA, for $ 2385/​mo on 5^th floor. Rent was not too bad, but there was an additional $ 125/​month for amenities, and a second parking stall was an additional $ 200 which I needed.
We did not go see the unit since it’s view was blocked by parking garage, so what’s the sense living in a high rise if you don’t have a view I thought?
Overall, this place seems to be the place to live if you like to be pampered. They call it an Oasis. Lol. And apparently they even start ur car in the am, and bring it to the front everyday, all part of $ 125 no additional tops required! I’ll keep this in my back pocket if needed in the future ;)

You might call my partner and me professional apartment dwellers because we can never seem to find the one that is a perfect fit. That is until we came to Memorial by Windsor; what an amazing place. Not only has it raised the bar for our expectations it consistently exceeds above and beyond in all categories.
Customer service is outstanding when it comes to valet and concierge. After a long, tiring day it is such a treat to drive your car up front and have it waiting for you ahead of time the next morning. When you walk in the awesome concierge staff always greets you with a smile and a can-​do attitude. So many times I have been out and about and they’ve arranged my hair cuts, dry cleaning, massages and maid service. Our home, Memorial by Windsor, is truly full service.
When we have parties we alway use the wine room and cigar lounge with a poker table. Our guests love the valet service and the ambiance of the building. The common areas are really appointed well and kept clean.
Anytime I’ve had to interact with management outside of casual chatting they have been very responsive and quick to take action on any maintenance or general tenet issues.
From two people who have moved a lot we’ve renewed our lease and will continue to do so from now on. This review doesn’t have anything negative to say until I say this: M by W and its employees will spoil you so much that you nothing else will compare.
I would encourage you to come by for a tour. Every one on the leasing and management staff is amazing but if you get a chance to see Lisa stop in and say hi, she will go out of her way to make your visit memorable.

All I can say is that I can’t find anything wrong with this place… oh wait… the people who think that their crap doesn’t stink… as far as the management… they are awesome… never had an issue with them… the leasing people are always smiling and nice to you… as far as the people that live here… well lets just say some people need a reality check… the one guy on my floor is just a loser… always upset about something… when you talk to him… he is upset over stuff that is STUPID like the valet… well…if you know that EVERY DAY you will be down at 730 in the morning then tell the valet… they will have your car waiting for you. Don’t come down at 725am demanding your car… and by the way… if you are nice to people… then they are nice back…
as far as the other reviews on here… really…you are upset about who walks in the lobby… lets see 25 floors i dont know like 10 apartments a floor… wow you think that it might be busy… as far as other apartments around… give me a break… i went to some places and they wanted $ 1,000 more a month for apartments that are 2 years old and the building has cracks in the ceiling… dont believe me… just visit them…
like I said this place is awesome… love the people love the service love the extras that are here… if you don’t like it here… then…GET OUT!

I have lived at Memorial by Windsor for almost 2 years now. We have been able to experience the high rise through the eyes of being newlywed young professionals to now parents of a 6 month old. Both experiences have been more than we could have asked for.
I don’t feel I need to go into how beautiful the luxury apartments are because that is obvious to anyone that does a tour. The amenities are top notch including the resort style pool/​spa complete with cabanas, towel service and pool attendant. We frequently use the cigar lounge and poker table which is adjacent to the «Zen Den» where they keep our refrigerated wine lockers. The theater room is beautiful and equipped with every toy someone could ask for ie: wii, xbox, PlayStation, dvd, and is adjacent to the bbq areas with both coal and gas bbq’s.
I don’t know that the location could be any better. We have the best view of the city, 4 mins from downtown, across the street from the Buffalo Bayou Park, a dog park and tons of walking biking trails, and two blocks from Washington Ave (bars, clubs and restaurants)
Among our favorite amenity is the 24 hour concierge and valet service. The valet team are so welcoming and run to get our cars. I don’t have the same schedule every day and I still have no problem getting my car in a timely manner. On average it takes them 5 minutes (quicker than me trying to get it with my 6 month old) and on busy 8am Monday mornings I just use my common sense and courtesy and call them 10 – 20 mins before I need it. When it’s raining they either park it next to the elevator on the first floor in the covered garage or the walk me out to my car holding the umbrella over myself and my son. We’ve had the same valet team for almost a year (low turnover) and they go above and beyond now that I have a child to grab my stroller out and take my groceries up for me.
The concierge is able to expedite a cab if we need it much faster than we can and they have gotten us in contact with numerous trusted baby sitters and dog sitters in the area (we moved to Houston 2 years ago).
Even with all of the great amenities and perks, the best part has been the staff. Everybody on staff from the cleaning/​maintenance crew, concierge, valet, leasing agents all the way up to the property manager Ronda go out of their way to greet us and our family/​friends by name every time we see them. How they are able to remember my parents names when they’ve only visited one other time a year ago is beyond me and another impressive attribute to their commitment to the luxury experience.
Our friends and family love to fly down and visit us claiming it always feels like they are at a vacation resort.
I wanted to write this review because I see that a majority of the reviews were based off of the previous property management company (Legacy) and NOT the current one (Memorial) that we have come to love and continue to be impressed.
If you want to be successful– surround yourself with successful people. And this place has it– from the staff to the residents– success.

Awful service. After calling and visiting the location, I will not be renting at Memorial by Windsor. The leasing agents are incredibly rude and unprofessional. I had an appointment to meet with someone and waited in the lobby for 45 minutes. The agent then rushed through the tour, obviously annoyed to be leaving her «busy» desk. Not to mention snobby. If this is any inclination of the way I would have been treated as a resident, count me out. This place is a joke, look elsewhere!

Bottom Line Up Front: If you expect any service after the sell, do not choose this Windsor property.
Explanation:
I lived on the 6^th floor with a wonderful view of downtown. Absolutely unbeatable view! I moved in when the property was called Legacy at Memorial. I could share unprofessional stories of the 5 different property managers that I worked with, but the current philosophy at this Windsor property is, «Provide prospective residents with attractive leasing agents to show the fabulous property and forget about the people that pay the bills.»
I’m a 28 year old guy. I get the reasons for having attractive leasing agents, but don’t confuse this with competence. They are slow to reply to correspondence, and are more interested in where the get their nails done than the quality of life of their residents. I saw break ins happen at the property with no increased security. They allow residents to run small businesses of of the common areas and trying to use the ammenities through their scheduling system is challenging. The elevators are constantly out or undergoing maintenance. Of 4 elevators, you’ll be lucky if 2 work on a daily basis.
The valet guys have come a long way in 18 months, but I don’t let them park my car. I’ve heard of too many accidents and seen these guys drive through the parking garage like they are warming up for the Daytona 500.
I could go on about other things like people having sex in the hot tub, but I’ve had enough. I’m out.

Well, I found the catch! The pool has gone from a calm, relaxing oasis to a weekend free-​for-​all where frat-​tastic tenants invite all their buddies, get wasted, and trash the area. If you valet, forget going anywhere on a Saturday afternoon — You’ll be waiting all day! Apparently the screening room has also been abused, so everyone’s privileges have been revoked there as well. And let’s not forget all the gym towels that mysteriously went missing — No need to replace those, we residents clearly can’t be trusted!
Management seems polite enough, but they need to come up with solutions to deal with unruly residents WITHOUT punishing everyone else.
This place is still pretty good, but disappointing compared to what it used to be…

If you live here or have friends that live here and you happen to valet your car, make sure you do not leave anything worth taking in your car. They took my gps a while back, then I just realized last night my nano was missing in my gym bag. They are a shady valet service that these apt have hired. So for your sakes, try to park your own car!
