I came here on a recommendation from a family member. I have a pair of my great-grandfather’s gold cufflinks that were turned into earring that needed to be repaired. The gold hook needed repaired. i brought the pair in so they could match the broken on to the non-broken one. The staff was very friendly and assured me that could get the job done. The owner was on had too to build my confidence. I was nervous because the jewelry was an heirloom. I came back in a few days and perfection. The earring was good as new! I was so happy with the work that was done.

I went in needing a watch battery and to fix a bent prong on my wedding ring. The watch battery was quick and easy. As soon as I pulled out my ring, however, they tried to sell me on getting a new silver coat. I told them I only wanted the prong looked at. Then I was told the prong couldn’t be bent back or it would break so they’d need to put on a whole new prong. $ 50. I took it to a different jeweler who bent the prong back and polished it all for free. Maybe a whole new prong would make it stronger in the long run, but since I felt like they were trying to sell me the whole time and now I also felt they were going to overcharge me, I won’t be going back.

I had a custom wedding band made to match my engagement ring that was purchased elsewhere and not only were they much more knowledgeable than the ‘other’ guys(I shopped around) but the ring came out perfectly! So much so that I decided to finally repurpose an old diamond ring I had into a cocktail ring that they are custom making for me — I can’t wait until it is finished! And to top it off, their prices are very competitive compared to the other places I went to. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

I bought a somewhat cheap-ish Timex watch and spent 30 minutes at home trying to remove some of the links as it was too big. After that failed, I took it to Target who doesn’t do any kind of service on watches anymore. When I got to Meyerland Jewelers, they had the links out in 3 minutes max, charged $ 10, and said if I ever needed more links removed, I could go back and they’d do it under the same tab free of charge. Awesome.

I went in to get the battery in my very thin Skagen watch replaced. It was a rainy day so there were no customers. $ 10 for replacement — good price. The dude takes my watch, disappears for, at most, 90 seconds, and the battery is replaced with the time precisely set! I hand him a ten dollar bill, thank him, and leave. It was the most painless, straightforward transaction in a long time. No receipt, no wait, superlative speed, pleasant interaction.
