Mj’s Beauty Salon & Spa

Got a groupon for 3 eyebrow threading a for $ 10. They have a similar deal if you go directly though them instead of groupon. MJ did a great job on my eyebrows the first time but I went back a second time and another lady screwed them up (see photo). They were clearly different shapes and sizes despite MJ perfectly shaping them just two weeks earlier. So make sure you ask for MJ! Hopefully MJ teaches this other girl how to do eyebrows right. Also, this place is kind of hard to find it’s a small store in a plaza next to a favric store or something but their website gives good directions.

I visited MJ’s salon because I found a fairly inexpensive GroupOn ($ 29 facial), and it was the only place available to offer me service the next day. At first, I was a little skeptical because this place doesn’t have any reviews, and it’s «website» is a sketch Facebook page, BUT I have to give it a thumbs up! I was attended as soon as I arrived by MJ herself for the 24-​Karat Gold facial. The place isn’t luxurious, and it isn’t in a super nice neighborhood, but it was clean, and she had a couple of private rooms in the back. The facial was great and super relaxing to the point that I was falling asleep! My only complaint is that I wish that she would’ve cleaned out my blackheads more; she didn’t spend much time on that, and that’s what I needed most. I also didn’t like how she has like a cell phone sale store at the front of her salon… I think it’s a little weird to be pairing with a salon spa… Other than that, service and facial were great!
