Monkey Joe’s

It’s cheap and fun for the kids! For my 5 year old it was about 11 bucks for all you can jump. We came on a rainy day so it was the perfect place for some rainy day fun.
They have about 10 different inflatables. I think about 3 – 4 are for the younger kids. One is a huge slide that most of the kids seem to really enjoy. The arcade area is pretty small. Not many games over there and it’s a bit cramped.
I’m not sure about their food selection because I didn’t eat but looks like the have pizza, popcorn, hot dogs, etc.
The staff here was friendly and helpful. The place didn’t have that musty smell like some of the other places do. Everything seemed pretty clean and not too crowded either for a Saturday! My one complaint is that it’s freezing cold inside. I get it for the kids who are sweating due to the jumping around. But I recommend dressing as you would if you were about to visit Antarctica. Shorts and a t shirt were a bad choice.

My kiddos loved it. I’ll def go back and probably throw a bday party there eventually. Only thing I didn’t like was if pizza is the only substantial food on ur menu … Pls have it readily available. My kids were hungry and I had to go elsewhere to feed them.

I’ve been here a few times with my boys. They love it. There are probably about 10 inflatables in age appropriate areas and an arcade area. The staff and service are mediocre. It’s best to come in the morning when they first open so that you don’t have to deal with getting ran over by a bunch of kids.

This is a fun clean place for our «monkeys» to let out all their energy! I wanted to go jumping myself: D
It’s nice that they have a few castles for the young toddlers so they don’t get squished with the big kids

I’ve been here twice now. The first time the staff was lazy, rude, with a bit of an attitude. The second time the staff was attentive, friendly, and happy.
I also assumed that it was going to be the same inflatables up as last time but it wasn’t. They changed a couple of them. The place is clean, the restrooms are tidy, and I see the staff doing routine check up of the place to make sure it stays that way. There’s padding in all the right places and they were even quick to clean and kind to me when my daughter had a couple of «accidents» in the time we were there. She was having too much fun to take a potty break and decide to go while playing… I quickly told the attendants and they were on it! Even smiled

UPDATE
My wife went back with our youngest son for a birthday party. He refused to slide to show solidarity for his brother but went for the cake. The issue described below has still not been fixed. Seems the majority of their time is spent getting reviews deleted from Unilocal and writing responses to my original post as if they care. What’s the point in saying «sorry» if you don’t fix the initial problem?
INITIAL REVIEW
I went on Sunday the 27^th with my 9 and 5 year old. About an hour in, my 9 year old comes running up to me screaming, says he fell out of a bounce house and hit his back and head on a metal pole and electrical socket. He’s a pretty tough kid so at this point I know he’s hurt because he shakes off most everything. Additionally, if you’re obeying the rules — which I stress — then how do you fall out of a bounce house?
In doing so, he also knocked out the electrical cord and the house deflated on top of my other son.
So I pull the 5 year old out and plug the house back in the ask my oldest if he’s ok. He has blood on his hands and we thought it was a bloody nose, but it was a 1−2″ laceration in his head. I examine the area and there’s a 6−8″ gap between a bounce house and an obstacle course, which looks like it’s either supposed to be clipped or zippered but is not. It’s about 3 feet up and is above a concrete floor, a metal pole with an electrical socket used to power the air machine right next to it. Not a very safe set-​up.
First an attendant came over (nice kid — hustled to get the manager) and then the Manager (nice guy — felt really bad, was very professional). They were both concerned and wanted me to fill out an accident report. I declined since I had to get my son to the hospital for what would be five staples and a fairly traumatic experience.

The manager called me the next day and I told him what happened and that I wasn’t real happy. Again, he was very professional and we agreed that I would finalize the form.
So why this bad write up?
I’ve been here 20+ times and have had several of my kids birthday parties here. I’ve always enjoyed it as much as you can enjoy a bounce house and the staff has always been professional. However, this oversight is more than I’m willing to put up with. I should have known when my oldest went flying off the big slide (they «grease» the slides and sometimes do it too much or I’ve recently learned with non-​approved substances — see link below or google «katy monkey joe’s chemicals») a few times ago but I chalked it up to «kids get hurt doing kids stuff.» If you see the images, this is just a nightmare set-​up that all could have been avoided by latching the two bounce apparatus together appropriately.
I would classify as carelessness at best. Too bad because we were high-​volume customers but I don’t see us going back again.

I took my two year old daughter to play on a Monday. I figured there wouldn’t be too many kids. It was great! She ran around like crazy had so much fun. The staff was very friendly. I was impressed with how clean it was. She keeps asking to go back. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

I have found the Katy Monkey Joe’s to be a very welcoming and safe environment for my twins. They have been here on several occasions and have had a great time always! The staff is friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!

I came with my church group (but as walk-​ins). I called a couple of days ahead of time to warn them we were coming. It was 18 kids and 7 adults. The manager was not so nice, saying he didn’t know we were coming and that he really didn’t want us to stay… because he didn’t have enough staff. My thing is if 5 families with 4 kids show up within an hour, what do you do? Shut the place down??? Anyway, He eventually let us stay and the kids had fun. That’s what matters…

It’s awesome to have a place like this for the kids to burn some energy indoors in Houston heat. I did appreciate the super cold AC! The actual play areas seem clean. We came during lunch time on the weekday and it is summer break for the kids. The toilet bowls however could use some scrubbing. The young employees seem nice. I can’t complain as long as the kids are indoors and having fun. I rather take the kids here then waste money at CEC.

My children have food allergies, and we were very disappointed that this location will not allow safe foods brought to birthday parties they were invited too. Not even a piece of cake so they didn’t have to sit there and watch their friends eat. We didn’t ask to bring in food for everyone. Only slices of cake for our children that wouldn’t’ make them sick. Guess they don’t want our business.

typical bounce house, have been here for parties and also for other meet ups. Kids get to work off some energy and that’s fine and all if just looking for a place to beat the heat, but for the birthday party that was a different story. DS’s friend had a party here and you have no idea who the birthday child no organized activity what so ever and it’s just one general bounce room. The staff doesn’t enforce the rules so you have older kids playing where it should only be smaller kids. Couldn’t even begin to keep track of how many screams or tears we heard, it’s just a controlled chaos in my mind. Staff is nonexistent in the party room, just looking to move you in and out so the next party can come in,
for the prices they charge for bday parties I would look elsewhere, for general play I’d send the kids in pads and a helmet

Monkey Joe’s was a lot of fun for my 3yr old and 7yr old. The equipment is in good condition and they have a nice variety of things for the kids to do. The biggest downside was their lack of food choices. I recommend that you plan on eating before going to Monkey Joe’s. They do not allow outside food in their facility and their food choices are very limited and expensive.

They said that they’ll have a new Westheimer location by late Feb 2013. Old location is now a Chuck E’Cheese. Not as many good adult sofa seating as their location on FM 529.

great place to take the kids so they can burn off some steam. while you sit back use the wifi. only downside is overpriced junk food and drinks.

My son really loves this place and I do too! It’s priced well, indoors, AC, has a snack bar, referees to watch the kids play too. Nice chairs, not many outlets for chargers though. We’ll be back for sure though, I’m considering having my son’s birthday party there too!

Monkey Joe’s is a great place to let kids get their energy out. Its the only inflatable playhouse I’ve been to so I don’t have any comparisons. But I am asking… where were these places when I was growing up! Our little daughter loves to climb, explore, slide, jump and play! Unfortunately there is none of that for adults… but they do have free wifi, a good number of TVs (showing college football the last time I was there… like they should be!) and a few computers to use (if you are into public computers).
They serve refreshments and food, none of it looks very good and priced higher than I’d want to pay. The staff has always been attentive and polite. I’m surprised… you think with a ton of kids running around crazy all day long they’d be beaten down. But everyone was smiles! There are even «referees» on some of the toys which is GREAT. Especially if you have the little one that keeps getting run over by the bigger kids who’s parents aren’t paying attention. I thanked them many times (the refs)!!
