We met with them about the formation of a LLC and they asked for a $ 1,500 retainer to get started. They then proceeded to bill 7-​times that with absolutely no notice and sent us a bill for nearly $ 10,000! They are protected contractually (they wrote the contract to represent us). But ethically I’m not so sure about their practices…
