Patisserie Paris Je T’aime

Decadent. I ordered a custom birthday cake for a friend. A lemon-​chocolate angel cake of some sort that just exploded with flavor. The cake was a work of art. Simply gorgeous. Fabulously rich & delicious. The cake ran about $ 50. So, it’s pricey. But like nothing you’ve had before. Go ahead– indulge.

Everyone here was so friendly. The pastries were tasty and the coffee was delish. I really wish these folks were closer to me. There is no place to get honest to goodness French pastries in the Humble area. None. I was very happy to find this business and will stop by whenever I am in the area and looking for a sweet treat.

We’ve come a couple times for the macaroons and we really only enjoyed a couple flavors. I was really excited to try new kinds but the fillings were just not the right flavors for us. The raspberry ones were probably our favorites.

My entire family loves this bakery! We found out about her when she first opened and have been hooked. The owner has trained in France and makes the most amazing and beautiful cakes. Full of flavor and not too sweet.
We are ordering cakes from her almost every month for family occasions and each time she delivers something uniquely wonderful. Let’s just say we have been forgetting to take photos of the cakes lately because everyone is anxious to get a piece!

Delicious everything! Well, almost.
This is another joint that’s been living in my bookmark for as long as I can remember. However, since I was on a mission to reduce the size of my bookmark, I came here for dessert after I had gone to Sam’s Burgers and Pies. If you’re looking for this place, it’s located in the same giant shopping center that houses Verts Kebab, Baskin Robbins, Top it Pizza, etc.
When I was reading the reviews for this place and looking through the pictures, I had my mind set on a couple of things: the éclair and the chocolate croissant. However, when I walked in here and saw the praline and read the word «hazelnut», I changed my mind. Praline it is! I told the lady behind the counter what I wanted, she told me to take a seat, and the older gentleman soon brought out the praline out with a glass of water.
The Praline was oh em gee deeleeshoes! For real, yo! It’s sweet, but not too sweet. The hazelnut tastes subtle but enough to make it about right. The base of the cake is crispy (cookie? Or something?) and makes an excellent combination with the other chocolatey gooey creamy stuff. I highly recommend that you try this, especially if you’re a chocolate lover.
After I finished with the praline, I went ahead and ordered the chocolate croissant; or Pain Au Chocolat as they call it. The croissant to me was just meh. It was good BUT it wasn’t fresh. The croissants were just sitting on a tray on top of the display. I wanted to try it so I ordered it anyway. Not sure if they had warmed it before they served it to me because if they did, it sure didn’t feel warm. I love my chocolate croissant to be warm with the chocolate melting when you cut it open. This wasn’t the case. Tastewise, it was good, but I don’t think I would order it again unless I know that it’s a fresh batch out of the oven. I personally it doesn’t justify the $ 4 price tag. But that’s just me. Especially, if you can pay another couple of bucks and get the delicious praline instad.
Being a French pattiserie, of course I had to order some of the macarons. They had a few flavor and I bought 10 of them to go. I’ve had a couple and I enjoy them both. At $ 2.50 each, the price is pretty standard. I wish they would have some kind of a special though, like dozen special or something. But oh well, it is what it is.
I’ll be back if I’m craving some macarons, or if I want some delicious chocolate cake. I need to come back and try the éclair anyway.

Stuff’s good. I had an apple thingy and an almond powder thingy. Both of which tasted really goooood. Also the chef guy with the ponytail was nice and seemed cool. Same with the cashier girl who thought I had a twin lol.

I do not have too much to write about here except for my experience I had here with my daughter so bare with me.
It has been a long time since I have ever eaten a macaroon since above the $ 2 range for anything bite sized is out of my craving but father and daughter day yielded a try for her first ever macaroon. She saw the pictures of the colorful pictures you Unilocalers put up and begged me to take her and try them so this was the closest one.
Parking is ample, the suite that it sits in is pretty narrow (15 feet wide maybe?) and does not really have a flamboyant sign that jumps out at you so look for the automobile business that you could use as a mark to find here.
Once you step inside you’ll be greeted with about 4 or 6 little tables where you can enjoy your dessert, step up to the glass counter and order what is displayed at the moment. Obviously we opted for 3 macaroons, sat down and ate.
The very matured gentlman behind the counter filled our order and placed it in this expensive looking plastic container, accepted the $ 2.50 each for the macaroons and we sat. The surprsingly thing that happened here which I am not used to in a dessert place is he brought us two small waters (placing nice coasters on the table first), two not so cheap, red napkins and refilled the waters after they were emptied. I know, it’s miniscle but that is just something of a step that you don’t expect and if caught off guard will make you remember that detail.
There were of course other desserts here but coud only tune into what I originally came here for.
For a Saturday around 2 pm there were not any other customers here so I do not know when this place gets busy.

Patisserie has been on my list of places to try for the longest and luckily I now work down the street. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon in desperate need of a pick me up for the mid week drag I was feeling. The ambiance is so so and doesn’t really do the pastries any justice!
I ordered a latte ($ 4) and a pistachio éclair ($ 6). I have to admit I was a little outraged that my little pick me up cost me that much. I bitterly sipped on my mediocre latte as I drove back to the office. I dived into the éclair (after taking pictures of it of course) and was pleasantly surprised. The éclair is delicious! I love the cream filling and the light pasty shell. It isn’t terribly sweet and has just the right amount of flavor. The filling is a great compliment to the pastry.
I’d definitely recommend Patisserie and more than likely make a trip back on another mid week blues adventure.

The first time I went there was for the biche de Noël and the taste in my mouth took my breath away.

They ran out of macaroons when I went (2pm), there wasn’t much of a selection. I got a chocolate croissant & it was good but nothing amazing. I had one just yesterday at Panera & it was just as good & had way more chocolate inside. The inside wasn’t very tidy, just past the register. It was like they baked & didn’t clean at all. Even leaving trays in the way of the walkway to the restroom.

Christmas dinner was simultaneously nearly ruined and then saved by the lovely chef at Patisserie Paris Je Taime! I ordered a chocolate and orange marmalade buche and was scheduled to pick it up on Christmas Eve. On the day of pick up, they didn’t have my cake due to some refrigerator issues (!!). I was very disappointed because the buche is my favorite part of Christmas dinner. The chef must’ve seen our crestfallen faces at the terrible news, because she offered to give us a lychee and raspberry buche de noel at no charge to us! She was very cute and insisted for us to «please don’t be mad!»
Although we didn’t get the original flavor we ordered, the lychee raspberry buche that we did get was out of this world! It wasn’t too sweet and was delightfully refreshing. The cake was smooth like a mousse cake. Inside the buche was a tasty surprise: a crispy chocolate hazelnut rolled up wafer, similar in taste to Ferrero Rocher. I thought it was a nice touch and complemented the fruity taste and smoothness of the buche well. We enjoyed every bite! Thank you Chef for the buche! We will certainly return here to order more cakes.

Patisserie Paris Je T’aime is the cutest little French bakery hidden in the Westchase area. If you are looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth, then you must come here! Come meet the amazingly terrific Chef Nga and her staff!
My gf and I were out shopping and decided to stop by to see what was available for the day. We were welcomed with smiling faces and a lovely display filled with small brightly colored macarons. The French macarons had very unique flavors and only tried the rose lychee and green tea matcha, but saw others like orange blossom ginger, chocolate raspberry, coconut, balsamic blueberry, pistachio cherry, lemon basil, and caramel. The macarons were on the smaller side, but had good flavor combinations. Our macarons were packaged in the cutest golden box and we almost didn’t want to open it. The freshly baked croissants were buttery delicious. I’ll have to come back again to try the mango mousse cake that other Unilocalers mentioned in their reviews. We were even treated to a buche de noel (Yule log cake) tasting. Sweet Chef Nga was so friendly and came over with a lovely tray of plates with 4 cake samples and 2 small glasses of water. Even the cake tasting was just as cute as the bakery. They wanted customers to sample their different flavors of Yule logs before pre-​ordering for the holidays. Pricing for a Yule log starts at about $ 65. Our favorite flavor was the Marie Antoinette (rose lychee and raspberry). This was the most unique flavor that wasn’t overly sweet. The other flavors were good but very sweet, rich, and creamy. I just wish they had a coffee bar, then I would come here all the time!
If you are in the Westchase area looking for an afternoon dessert pick-​me-​up, come visit this authentic French bakery, Pâtisserie Paris Je T’aime. There are plenty of macarons and different pastries available daily but cakes are made to order. I would definitely consider ordering my next special occasion cake here to change up my typical Chinatown cake routine.

It was my dad’s 60^th birthday and he loves French pastries because of their richness and the coffee incorporated cakes. I was in a search for the best French bakery in Houston and found this place on both Unilocal and Google search. I Also had a busy work schedule this week and was looking for a location that was open past 4 and this place was it. Most of the bakery, if not all require a 24 to 48 hour notice for any cake orders but I was just lucky this day. Even the chef said I was lucky. I called and asked if they had any ‘coffee ’ cake flavors available and she said she did but had to give her 2.5 hrs which was perfect because dinner want until 730. Her shop does close at 6 but stayed open a little later for me to get there. As we all know, Houston traffic is horrific and she’s located on a busy street. To my bad luck, there was an accident right at her street that prevented me from turning on to westheimer and I had to do some illegal maneuvers to get on the street.
Anyway, the chef made me the opera cake to serve 8 people. However, it definitely served more than that. It was rich and full of flavor. Very decadent and true French bakery. My dad and family loved it. The chef even wrote happy birthday on the cake and placed some edible gold on it.
The shop is located between a Baskin Robbins and subway which helped in locating the shop. There’s also Hank’s Crawfish in the same Plaza. The chef was so kind and allowed me to even try a piece of the cake.
She asked if I had tried her cakes before and unfortunately i haven’t. I will definitely be returning for her other cakes and pastries. They were also kind enough to include chocolate croissants which were a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Even for the next day or two. Wonderful shop and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for the traditional classic French cake.

This place serves some good desserts. I bought an éclair, 2 cakes, and 8 macarons to go. The macarons are crispy and the flavors are there. The cakes are unique and the flavors are not too bad but the cakes are little too sweet for me. The éclair was quite disappointing. I was excited that I finally found an éclair that is filled with chocolate cream instead of plain cream. However, there was not much chocolate taste in the chocolate cream in my éclair. I wish there are some chocolate flavors to the éclair then it would be 4 stars.

I’d been looking for a bakery that could accommodate my desire for a mango mousse cake. In this Houston heat, I didn’t want anything heavy and sugary-​frosting-​laden. I wanted something light and refreshing, but still with a wonderful punch of flavor.
Thanks to Unilocal,I got exactly what I wanted, and even more than that, too.
The owner of this patisserie is such a sweetheart. She is uniquely creative and proud of her whimsical creations; my mom and I walked in just to look around before inquiring about a cake, and the owner actually offered us and a few other patrons a sample of a new pastry she had just whipped up and was excited for others to try. That right there let me know she does this because she pours love into it. Those who can accept criticism and compliments with a smile are real artisans.
My cake was much more grandiose than I had expected (as I had no idea how it was going to look since there is no picture book of cakes she makes) and it was worth every penny.

This bakery is a on my every weekend MUST GO list. Everything here is so delicious it makes me want to hug the chef… and I would if she ever came out from behind the counter!

What a cute bakery! I visited this place when it first opened and loved their fresh croissants! I decided to come back again to try their other pastries. So yummy!
I would give ⁵⁄₅ stars, but my cakes collided with each other. :(I wish they had a better box or divider for cakes to-​go! Just means next time, I need to enjoy the cakes at the store!

Quaint French Bakery. My sister and I came in. We had a chocolate croissant, green tea éclair and orange ginger blossom macaroon. I 100% recommend the chocolate croissant. It was buttery, crispy, goodness that melts in your mouth. The orange ginger blossom macaroon was nothing I’ve ever had before. It had a hint of citrus, which reduced some of the sweetness of the cookie. It also brought a freshness to my tannins. So delicious, I also highly recommend.
The pastry chef also brought out a cognac infused chestnut pastry for us to try, on the house. Next time I come in, I will definitely order one of those. Absolutely Fabulous!
I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing afternoon and a touch of sweetness to satisfy any craving.

Hey Houston! If you’re looking for a legit French bakery, stop searching and come here. You will find the most authentic Parisian sweets that will not disappoint your taste buds.
From the moment walking in the door, we were greeted by friendly faces. I was looking to buy a variety of pastries or cake for a party. The options available included two types of pretty mouse cakes (I know I’m butchering the proper description), various crossaints and macaroons, and tortes. The presentation was impressive. Cakes are made to order so call ahead if you want a whole cake. We were offered a sample of the liche mousse. It felt like a taste of heaven. The flavors were so complex yet well balanced. My palate had a party!
Quality is the top priority for this bakery. Forget main stream wanna be frech bakeries like la Madeleine. Support your local businesses! It’s a small price to pay for a taste of Paris in Houston.

The day I arrived to this business, the chef told me that the A/​C broke and kept apologizing about the limited desserts she had. I didn’t mind because she was so nice about it.
She let me try two macarons, Lemon Basil and Hazelnut Vanilla. I found the Hazelnut Vanilla quite harder than normal macarons. Maybe because it was out for a longer period than Lemon Basil? It was still delicious though. On the other hand, the Lemon Basil was perfect! You get the sweet lemon followed by the basil; it went well together.
I bought Pistachio Raspberry & Coconut macarons with Mango Mousse Cake. I personally didn’t try these, for it was for someone else. However, Chef Nga is very friendly!
I would definitely come by again!

Every time I move to another a new city or country, I make it a personal mission to find a single independently owned bakery that sells amazing goodies to call my own. In Dallas it was Reverie Bakeshop, in Korea it was Café Golmok, and in India it was whatever the guy at the dilapidated stand in the middle of the street was selling. While settling into Houston, I had already sampled several baked goods from Chinatown and other cafes but I wasn’t hooked on one yet.
I remember skimming through bakery reviews and passing by Pâtisserie Paris Je T’aime a few times. I didn’t think too much of it but I couldn’t resist when I saw Pâtisserie from the corner of my eye while driving home. I decided to bust a U and see what all the fuss was about.
Pâtisserie is nestled in a small plaza off of Westheimer in between Kirkwood and Wilcrest right next to a Subway. I walked in and the first thing I was greeted by was the lovely and colorful display arrangement of macarons. My mouth started salivating immediately as I was greeted by the cashier.
I walked closer to the display case and the smell of warm croissants wafted towards me. But my eyes quickly diverted to the macarons and I was taken aback by the flavors. There were the usual mint, dark chocolate and fruit macarons but then there were also surprises such as orange blossom ginger, lemon basil, and rose jasmine darjeeling. I asked the cashier what she recommended and Chef Nga actually responded by giving me a spoonful of the orange blossom ginger filling and told me to try it.
The thing I love about independently owned bakeries is that there is a sense of warmth and family that emits from them. Chef Nga is the culmination of all those things. I tried the orange blossom ginger filling and was blown away. She also let me sample the lemon basil which is made out of yuzu (Japanese lemon) zest, and the rose jasmine darjeeeling which had floral notes that confused (in a good way) yet satiated my taste buds. Every single filling I tried was tailored to take my taste buds on a journey. Chef Nga talked me through what ingredients she used for each filling which only made me appreciate her craft even more.
The macarons were lovely. Chef Nga’s presence and her desire to show me just how fantastic her baked goods are gave me warm fuzzy feelings. I bought 4 macarons — 3 for me and 1 for the boyfriend who is visiting later this week (sorry Alex, these babies are mine).
I’ve finally found my go-​to bakery in Houston. Pâtisserie Paris Je T’aime, I’ll be back for more macarons and save me some croissants. Those things smell amazing.
