Dr. Peter Ly received his undergraduate degree from Rice University before attending medical school at the University of Texas at Houston. He completed both his General Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent fellowship training at the University of Texas at Houston. During his last year of fellowship, Dr. Ly served as Chief Resident. He performed research during his fellowship training, and also presented at several national and local psychiatry meetings. Dr. Ly was the recipient of the American Psychiatry Association’s Excellence in Education Award and was the National Champion in the Mind Games competition in 2008.

Dr. Ly is Board Certified in the field of psychiatry, and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also very active in the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, and the Texas Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
