Prism Cleaners

About the only drawback here is the parking. I can usually find a place but you have to be careful since other people tend to drive too fast in such a small area.
Other than that this has to be the best cleaners in the area. Reasonable prices, quick turnaround, and haven’t had any issues (knock on wood) with clothes I have given. Even though the drop off area is small and get seem to get packed, I’ve never waited long. They are pretty efficient and move the line quickly.
Even if you don’t know exactly what’s best for your clothes they can make a decent recommendation but still better to know what you need done before you go in. Good laundry, good location, no issues, can’t ask for more.

Do not go here! Yes it is cheap, but they ruined my suit pants with marks from the pressing equipment being too hot. They would not refund me anything and the girls working were laughing about it. They wouldn’t let me speak to a manager or give me a phone number. Poor customer service. Poor quality service.

His shirts came great and price was just right. Parking is a little tight. Their service is fast. And printed ticket helps me remember not to throw it away.

I will be switching my regular cleaners to here.
I have 2 cats, on top of getting clothes clean I would like the clothes to look as much as possible without fur. This is hard there is usually at least one stray hair. My clothes looked new. The owner carried out my clothes to my car. Great service and wonderful cleaning.

Good cleaners but I will definitely be more careful with them. Lesson learned. Always have your ticket when you go to pick up your clothes and make sure the ticket is itemized to tell you exactly what you dropped off. I dropped some things off recently and went to pick them up and didn’t check my ticket and left without about $ 4000 worth of clothing that wasn’t included in the bag given to me. I only realized it a couple weeks later when I actually took the clothes out of the bag to transfer to nicer hangers in my closet. So I went back to inquire and got the stink eye when I inquired about them and was told that the computer says everything was picked up and she doesn’t have a way to know what was physically given to me. I said please check and they then looked in the back and found them and apologized for not including them in the original pickup. The lesson is things happen and you have to be vigilant about your clothing with cleaners because they will rarely take responsibility for losing or damaging anything. The problem is most places don’t take the time to assess your clothes for pre-​existing damage, abbreviate and log the article of clothing (i.e. 1 purple RL shrt), nor count the articles and match to itemized ticket. If they did, there wouldn’t be so many issues between cleaners and customers. There’s got to be a better electronic ticketing/​inventory system that allows cleaners and customers to better keep track of articles.

Been going here for over a year now. Excellent service, I have no complaints so far. They’re always prompt, good prices and I haven’t had any issues with my clothes. Plus the ladies at the check in desks are cheerful and friendly which is always nice. Also pretty good hours which helps sometimes. Give this place a shot and you’ll likely stick with it.

I was so impressed with Prism Cleaners. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the prices were extremely reasonable. My dry cleaning was ready within 24 hours. In Seattle, this same service would’ve cost three times the amount and would’ve taken about two additional days. I look forward to returning to Prism Cleaners.

Service is great but my issue is if you tell me my order will be ready the next day at 5pm I except all my dry cleaning to be ready not everything but one blouse. Either stop telling people the order will be ready the next day or move the cut off time sooner

I have worked in small business most of my life, so I should know better than to write a negative review (I deleted that one) without first speaking with the owner. Steve, the hands on owner of the cleaners contacted me, apologized for our miscommunication, and offered me the price that was incorrectly quoted my first visit. I just got home with my alterations, and they did an amazing job. I really appreciate him, his staff, and wish them continued success. If you are looking for a dry cleaner/alteration’s expert, you will not find a more honest professional choice than Prism Cleaners.

This place was awesome! I’ve been trying to find a good dry cleaner for a long, long time. The place looks a little sketch when you pull up, but don’t let it fool you. I took 10… TEN…pieces to get dry cleaned and after the 15% Unilocal discount, I only paid $ 40.00. They were all slacks, blouses, blazers, and dresses. Last time I took that many items to a dry cleaners, I paid almost $ 70.00. They were so quick also — I took my clothes in on Saturday morning and they were ready Monday by 5. Everything looked great — no funky smells like some cleaners, or buttons missing, or any of your normal complaints. I will definitely be taking all my business there from now on!

When I first came Texas about a year ago, I stumbled upon Prism cleaners based on a recommendation of a friend. The customer service I received her was great and the staff here was really friendly. They have quality service for low prices.
I brought in a couple dresses that I hadn’t worn for years (because of a little weight gain!) and the alterations here made the dresses like brand new. I also brought in a couple of blouses later and got compliments on them at work! Would definitely recommend for alterations.
A few months ago, I brought my wedding dress and they cleaned it up really nicely and packed it up. I also saw that they are very effective in taking out stains. I thought some of the stains on my clothes were lost causes (LITERALLY) since I had frantically worked to remove them time after time, but Prism managed to get them out. How? It still remains a mystery!
Beyond that, the dry cleaning quality was amazing. For the low prices they charge and the quality work they do, I would definitely say that I will continue going to Prism Cleaners. Would recommend to others

As a result, I would give them a second chance and feel better knowing that their management is responsive to customers.

Bad customer service!!! I had a terrible experience with them. They washed my dry clean only dress and refused to admit to it.
I took my never worn, $ 500 dress to them to get it pressed only. The girl at the font desk, who spoke with an accent, said she may need to clean the dress so it’s pressed properly. I told her all I want them to do is to make the pleats look crisp. She said: «don’t worry we will do a great job.» When I went to pick up the dress, I realized it looked more wrinkled than before. When I questioned them about it, she said: «it looks like the dress was washed before.» I explained to her that I took the tag off the dress and brought it to you, so no one has washed this dress before, and she said maybe it’s the fabric and she’s willing to press it again. I needed the dress for a bridal party and I was going out of town, so I took dress with me hoping that I could get it pressed elsewhere. The second dry cleaners told me that my dress has been washed and the fabric is damaged. I went back to Prism and they refused to pay for damaging my dress or even to admit that they washed my dress by mistake. I’ll never go back or take any business to them again and I advise you do the same. They won’t take responsibility for their mistakes. All I wanted them to do was to be honest and apologize. Had they done that, I’d be satisfied!

They were very friendly and my clothes turned out fine. Just don’t like that you have to pay FIRST. In fact, I went back last week in the morning and only one person was working at the counter and I had to wait for them to count this guy’s clothes and for him to pay. I walked out.

My fiancé takes his shirts here so I’ve had several experiences dropping off or picking up his stuff, but it didn’t seem fair to Unilocal this place until last week when I brought in my own items for dry cleaning.
They got the stain out of my dress shirt and returned it looking like new. My skirt and sweater look great as well.
Staff is super friendly and has quick turnaround. This is definitely going to be my go-​to place.

I have gone here for years and they were always the best place for the price. Well needless to say, they have become very popular and the prices have gone up. I decided that $ 4.00 was too much to pay for a dress so, even though it pains me, I have found a new place where almost everything is $ 2.50 (inc. tax). Everyone who works there has always been very friendly and I am sure the people who live in the River Oaks area don’t mind the price increases but it has started to add up.

I have been going to Prism Cleaners for about 2 years, but moved 7 months ago to the Heights. I tried going to a dry cleaner over there, but they ruined a few things so I decided to go back to Prism, even though it is out the way. They are always friendly when you walk in and remember you. They are pricey though, especially for dresses and sweaters.

I have nothing but praise for Prism Cleaners. They have fair prices, never fail to greet me by name and are open at very convenient times. The owners are always on site to help with any issues and they now take credit cards in addition to cash and checks.
Just one example of their commitment to customer service is when I recently received back one of husband’s custom made shirts and it had a tear in it. The owner of Prism kindly agreed to give us a $ 25 credit — no haggling, no weirdness. Just great customer service.
Last of all, I like being able to recycle my wire hangers there.

I first went to Prism Cleaners more than two years ago after a friend recommended it to me – pre-​Yelp for Farrah, of course. And since then, they’ve been *my* cleaners.
Take anything in and it’s only $ 1.99. I’m talking that $ 10 Forever 21 frock or your $ 300 BCBG gown … or if you’re a dude, sport coats, slacks, etc.
Today when I picked up my dress, I was extremely content to find that they got a food stain that has been setting in my dress that another cleaners «tried» to get out. (West Gray Cleaners. I had no knowledge of this. My friend did me a solid and dropped my stuff off there. I would’ve never cheated on Prism!)
Oooh, and your clothes are ready the next day. Not only that, service is friendly and I don’t remember ever seeing a line there … at least on weekdays.
