No more looking for apartments blindly not knowing the history of the property are the type of environment you sign your life away in per lease contract these people are great at what they do they have connections in Houston with all the leasing agencies and apartment complex and houses just anything you looking for I recommend them, im a owner of a moving company called fast and easy moves anybody that contact us about future moves in the Houston area I recommend this Place because I know it works they’re great at what they do and they don’t even charge you for it. my definition of fast easy and free

I found Renters Resource on Unilocal.It got great reviews. Reached out for help and was contacted two days later, but one day after I’d already started working with another company. I was upfront about it and how I was on the verge of signing a lease already. Harold respectfully asked for a chance to win my business anyway, and he did — he got it that day. As soon as we hung up, he sent over a list. The first one on the list was the most awesome place I’ve come across in Houston, and I signed that lease instead. Throughout the process, he kept checking on me to make sure things progressed smoothly. He even continued to check afterward to make sure everything concluded smoothly.
What I like best about Harold: his professionalism first and his expertise next. All apartment locators have access to the same data. The list he sent me had places others didn’t. He knows this city, and even more importantly, he knows all the people that are really good to work with at the properties. He made sure the list he sent me were only in safe neighborhoods with site management that he knew and trusted.

Harold and Kara were a huge help finding my friend and I an apartment. They were very diligent and dedicated an entire afternoon to help me search for what I was looking for. I recently relocated from Florida. I was lucky enough to find Renters Resource.
I was unfamiliar with the Houston area. Harold and Jessie were knowledgeable and very patient. They supplied me with an abundance of locations in my price range. I changed my location and preference many times and they continued to help. They helping me find a great apartment with all the amenities I was looking for. I highly recommend Renters Resource and will refer them at every opportunity.

After another company gave me the run around and wasted my time for three weeks. I got on Unilocal and looked for apartment locators in the Houston area.
Renter’s Resource was one of the high rated ones. I gave Harold a call and left a message. He returned my call promptly, asked me a set of very good questions, and told me I would receive an e mail with possible matches we could explore in the next few days. This was close to end of day that day.
Next morning, I had a solid set of results in my inbox. I got a follow up call and we were able to schedule a time to meet the next day. I just needed some time to look at the list. The results were organized at their website as a custom report generated for me with my name on it. The reports were detailed, informative and very useful.
Next day we met, and he took me to close to five locations. I must admit EVERY single one of them I could have lived in and would have been fine with. So none of the usual game of showing you a horrible place first and then showing the place they want you to rent last. Every option was great. I had the chance to weigh the pros and cons of each location and that was very beneficial for my decision making.
Harold drove me to each location, joined the agent and me during the apartment tours, asked good questions to the leasing agents and was a true advocate.
At the end of the day, I still had to look at another option I had found on my own. I am stubborn that way. He never frowned, never tried to discourage me or pressure me into renting one of the five locations. He said, sure, please go and look at that place, I have a feeling it is not going to match you well but why not.
I went and looked at the place I found, it was nice but incomparable to the better fit of the other two from Harold’s list. At that point it became clear to me that Harold had read me so well and really had already picked the right set for me.
It has been close to 4 months since I moved in. Every morning I wake up, look out my window and thank him for helping me find the most perfect apartment. We lucked out in some ways as a whole bunch of things aligned just right including when the apartment became available but I would have never known about this place if it had not been for Harold.
Beyond overall competence and excellent customer care /​support, Harold is probably one of the nicest, fun, easy going people you will meet in this world. It is one of those cases where you meet someone for business and part as friends.
Truly, you can’t be in better hands than this…

I happened across Renters Resource completely by luck a few years ago when i was moving to Houston from out of state, but it was definitely a happy coincidence. In my first move, given where i was coming from i wasn’t able to really view apartments in person, and everyone knows that properties will always put their best foot forward on the web, but the actual reality doesn’t always measure up. However, the locator i worked with was a tremendous help in giving me potential properties that fit my criteria. I found a place that i loved, and had a smooth, completely pleasant experience (well, for as much as moving can be such a thing).
Fast forward to 2014, and finding myself needing to move again, i once more contacted Renters Resource. This time, i worked with Harold, who was *fantastic*. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and a general pleasure to work with. He helped me locate a new apartment that fit my needs perfectly, and also helped me avoid a couple that might have been… not-​so-​great. I’ve recommended them to a couple of coworkers that are going to be moving in the near future, and i’m most certainly using them the next time i have to move. HIGHLY recommended.

After moving around the country from California to Wisconsin, New York and now Houston, we decided to go with renters resource especially because we were starting our search from far away. The employee who helped us was very nice and told us the areas not to be in.
Honestly, after we finally picked an apartment, there was some kind of disconnect about the rebate check and we did not receive. However, when Harold found out, he quickly called me personally and sent out a check ASAP! It is so nice to see a company that will do all that they can to continue to make people happy. It is very hard to find that these days!

I used Renters Resource for the first time when I moved to Houston several years ago. I had no experience with the Houston area and had no idea where to start. Harold and staff identified apartments that were specific to my preferences regarding square footage, price range, amenities, etc. He is very knowledgeable about the Houston area and provided information that is above and beyond what you’d find with an internet search. Harold advised as to which areas were safe and which areas experienced an increase in crime in the past months/​years. In addition, he pointed me toward apartment management companies that hold a high track record of good management/​customer service. He helped me find the perfect apartment within my specifications that was close to work.
Since then, I have recommended Renters Resource to all of my friends looking for apartments and each has been as please as I was.
When I decided to move closer into the city and began my apartment hunt at the end of last year, giving Harold a call was a no brainer!

I had no idea Renters Resource had a Unilocal page or I would have done this ages ago. I have been utilizing Renters Resource for years now; and when I say years, it’s been close to 10yrs now. They are my go-​to people when I am moving and looking for a new place to call home.
My previous locator, Kristen, moved on to another section of the company and is how I was introduced to Harold Strickland. Harold is and has been my guy now for several years now. Harold is great! I am not just someone or anyone, I am Marci, and he is well aware of my needs, demands and necessities.
Having lived alone for so many years, I have a list when I am looking for an apt; since having worked with Harold, he already knows and steers me in the right direction. Sometimes I am not all too familiar with where things are so if I drive around an area and see something I like, I log in to my acct, and add it to my new folder. I will call or email Harold to tell him about what I have found in addition to some of his recommendations, and he will help me weed out and pinpoint the right place. I have thoroughly been pleased with my last and current locations and have NEVER had any problems at all with either the area or the complex.
I love that Harold is not only my locator, but is more like my buddy. He is very professional and laid back and is all about me and what I want even if it’s a pricing issue. Harold works endlessly to make sure I am happy with the choices I have and ultimately the decision I make. Harold even made a trip to our current lofts before we moved in; we were stuck on trying to decide between this and another property. Harold drove out, met us here and did the second walk-​through with us and helped ease my mind and helped me map out pros and cons. This is what I call personal attention and going out of your way to make sure your clients are happy.
If you’re looking for a great place and need some direction, call Harold. I will also add that it’s good to check with the HPD in that area for a feel of that location/​area if you live alone as well; you will see that Harold has usually pointed you in a safe area. Remember if you are working with Harold or any of their locators and you visit a property, mention that you are working with Harold or that particular rep.
Renters Resource WILL, absolutely WILL, mail you a $ 100 check. The kicker: the check will be mailed once the complex has sent them all the necessary paperwork. So for the previous reviewer who stated they never received the check, it definitely may have something to do with the property not having turned in the paperwork to reflect the leasing agreement. I have ALWAYS gotten my refunds, which has now been 4 to date and soon to be 5 next when we move in Feb.

The customized apartment lists were handy (and good!), but the most convenient part of their service for me was the search feature on the Renters Resource website. None of the teasers, out-​of-​date, or generic/​false information found on similar sites I tried. The details for each property appear to be well-​curated with complete, current, and true information.
The $ 100 rebate is great, too. I just got confirmation that my check will be in the mail on Monday. More importantly, I come home everyday to an apartment that I love.
