My boyfriend and I walked into this place to just look around, and we walked out fiancés! If you believe that shopping for a ring should be easy, stress free, and everything you can ask for this the place!

Gil created the perfect engagement ring with my husband and was an absolute delight when we picked out wedding bands with him. We have loved getting to know him and will be loyal customers for years to come (I hope!).

I brought my rings in to be re-​rodium plated. Service was good when I was there, however the quality was lacking since the rodium plating was gone again within 1 to 2 months. Not worth the money they charge!

This is the best place to get yellow diamond rings in Houston. I spent about two weeks looking at all that Houston has to offer in the Fancy Yellow diamond area and ended up buying my ring here, not because they have a great selection of rings at good prices, but because they had the best looking Fancy Yellow diamonds for the money.
Do not purchase a ring at Tiffany’s or De Beers without looking here first.

I spent many hours searching for a diamond engagement ring from many places both in store and online. I couldn’t seem to find the right design for what I wanted. I finally found a design from a jeweler nowhere near Houston and decided to search out a custom jeweler. I picked Rice Village based on the reviews of the store and I’m not disappointed.
Mico was great at giving me details and most importantly accommodating my timeline without question. The pricing on their diamonds was great and I was more than treated fairly given what I was looking to buy. My experience was great here and I would trust them to anyone looking to buy a custom engagement ring.
On the side note, my fiancé is in love with the ring! She can’t stop talking about how beautiful the ring looks and I was quite surprised to see it when I bought it as well. They matched the design near perfectly. The ring came out beautifully.

Stopped by to buy a birthday present for my wife ended up buying a whole set of a ring necklace and earrings for the amount I was planning to spend on a ring only great customer service will definitely come back again thank you Gil for helping make the right decision

They had a very limited selection of engagement rings, and the woman that helped me didn’t listen to me at all. At one point I said, «I’m not a huge fan of solitaires – I like the look of three stones.» Two minutes later she said, «so I think what you’re looking for is a solitaire.» Not confident in their ability to design a custom ring for me at all

I was referred here from a couple of friends. I wanted to hand pick my diamond from my fiancé and Gil was very helpful and very patient with me. I went to him back in July and was overwhelmed with a lot diamond advice, not only from him but from multiple jewelers I had been to. I went back to him in August and created a custom design setting for the diamond I picked out, it took about 3 weeks, which is standard. Gil was very helpful with picking a diamond, but he could have done a better job with explaining to me about the CAD design and how the ring was going to look when we got it back. We had to send it back, which was ok. My fiancé now, loved the ring! We had to resize it, so we dropped it off and waited a couple of days. I called one afternoon and the lady told me it was going to be ready after 5. My fiancé went to pick it up the next morning and everyone seemed really confused about the ring and told her to come back after 2. She wasn’t very happy about that and upset her. I would have given them 5 stars, but upset my fiancé. I would still recommend everyone to come here for a diamond, they have the best selection!

I bought my fiancé’s engagement ring here after shopping around a bit in Houston and in other cities when visiting (DC, NYC, etc.). They were very helpful, friendly and made sure I understood what I was buying. I worked with Gil to pick out the perfect ring. It came out beautifully and they were a pleasure to work with. I also got a great deal. If you have shopped around and doing price comparisons, you should come here, and if you are just starting in the process, you should absolutely come here. Gil will help you find what you need. The service alone makes shopping here worth it.

Cindy at Rice Village Diamonds helped me find the perfect anniversary canary yellow ring and matching forevermark drop earrings.
I had been searching for the perfect ring for 5 months and came to Rice Village based on the reviews. I was surprised that they had the best designs and selections of yellow diamond rings even when compared to Tiffany’s and DeBeers (which is in the local mall).
Cindy has a keen eye for style and also what fits your personality. She never pushed a certain piece on me but instead was thoughtfully analyzing my preferences to show me pieces that were my style. I have two tween/​teen daughters and Cindy kept them engaged in conversation and made them part of the decision. We spent over 3 hours there finding the perfect set. There was a pleasant conversation about price and the shop was reasonable compared to other jewelers I went to.
I get compliments on my ring and earrings when I wear them. They are stunning pieces that will be handed down for generations. I will visit again when in the area.
Thanks to Cindy for her knowledge of diamonds and patience. When you buy something that will last for a lifetime you don’t want to be rushed and she understood the importance of this heirloom piece.

Following up on my initial review: My fiancée and I came back to Rice Village Diamonds in June 2015 to get our wedding bands. True to form we received excellent and friendly service from Cindy. She saw the engagement ring and led us easily down the right path to get the wedding band that best complemented it. I feel like we got a great value for the quality ring we picked out, I think she even took a little off the listed price. She helped me pick out a simple cobalt band for myself. They didn’t have my size in stock but ordered it and I had it in hand less than a week later. She made the experience very enjoyable. Gil was there as well and even remembered me from my time there 6 months prior.
Last week I emailed Gil about any sapphire stud earrings they might have in stock. He responded promptly and included a picture of earrings they had that were very beautiful but not what I had in mind. They didn’t have sapphire studs in stock at the time, however he graciously called around and had 2 sets in the store for me to look at the next day. I’m very pleased with my purchase and with the typical exceptional service I feel I can rely on receiving from them.
I don’t know when I’ll be in the market for more jewelry, but I definitely know where I’ll go to get it.

Gil and Jeff at Rice Village Diamonds worked with my husband on upgrading my engagement ring. Both Gil and Jeff spent hours with us choosing a new center diamond and educating us. When we decided on a Tacori setting, Gil was able to get the Tacori ring into the store even though they do not carry the Tacori line. Their knowledge, customer service, and pricing is the reason we will be lifelong customers.

I wish we could this establishment 10 stars because that is the kind of store it is and the experience that we had there. After being completely frustrated with all the chain mall stores such as Gordan’s, Helzberg, Kay, Zales, Jared and a couple of smaller ones like Eve’s and Lewis I gave Rice Village Diamonds a call. After telling Mico (the sales manager) my horror stories and letting me vent he assured me that he would have a better quality stone and save us money. I was sceptical but we went over there and our eyes were opened. They had stones with certificates that were so much better than all the stores mentioned above and low and behold for a better price. We looked and took up so much of not only Mico’s time but also Jeff (manager and jewelry designer) and Cindy’s (gemologist and sales person) also. We ask them how long we could finance it and they said that the policy was normally about three months but as long as we made payments they could extend it a bit longer. I assured them we would make timely payments and would pay it off in full when I received my tax refund. We also had some gold jewelry and diamond jewelry that was no longer needed and ask them if they would purchase it and apply it to the balance. They not only agreed but gave us a fair value for it. The tax refund came the other day and as we agreed we paid off the balance and could not be happier. The store was much more than we could have imagined because when we went in it felt like we were talking to family because that is how Mico, Jeff and Cindy made us feel. Thanks again for helping us with our jeweler needs and for going above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality jewelry as a great price !!!

Wow — Jeff did an amazing job replacing diamonds and refinishing my engagement ring. A side stone had fallen out which he replaced with a larger stone and he replaced the stone on the other side to match. My ring had been custom made and the prongs were not straight or well formed. He reformed them to a much better shape and tightened all the stones. It looks beautiful — like a brand new better ring. The price for all this was very reasonable. Based on this work, I’m sure his custom rings are fabulous. The store also has a nice jewelry selection. Will definitely be back.

This is my go-​to when I want to buy Chamilia charms.
I’ve been there several times now to buy charms for my mom and sister. The wonderful lady who works there (I am terrible with names and can’t remember it) always remembers me and my sister, and always gives us good service.
I am just sad to learn that they might not be carrying the line anymore, so I will have to either order online or find another retailer. I hope they do keep it in stock so I have an excuse to buy from them. You rarely get that level of customer service anymore.

Fantastic! Had a great experience with Jeff and Mico. The diamonds and service are quality. My fiancé and I purchased my engagement ring and our wedding rings here. We did our research and they had a beautiful diamond that we loved! They are wholesalers so you save but they definitely are up there on customer service! This store has a definitive focus on Diamonds as opposed to a broad selection of jewelry. When I first came upon this store window shopping, I expected an overpriced boutique. I was wrong.
