Rigid Global Buildings specializes in the manufacture and distribution of pre-​engineered metal buildings. Equipped with an advanced in-​house engineering department, as well as a manufacturing plant, Rigid Buildings is able to design and fabricate custom metal buildings.

History

Established in 1990.

In 1990, two engineers, Fred Campana and Alex Ghodsi, decided to start an Engineering Consulting firm, Rigid Structures.

In 1993, with the investment capital beginning to accumulate, from the consulting business, the owners expanded the business with the formation of Rigid Building Systems.

Rigid Building Systems was formed to develop the front end of a metal building company. Personnel were hired for building sales, estimating, contracts and detailing.

On June 12, 1995, five years after starting the consulting business, Rigid opened the doors to its brand new manufacturing plant in Houston, Texas. Rigid incorporated the best in methods of production, purchasing and service.

Throughout the years Rigid has expanded its services to the international market. Rigid has continually improved product quality and leads the industry in service, something we will continue to strive for in the years to come.

Business Owner

Alireza Ghodsi earned his Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Houston in 1978 and is a licensed professional engineer.

Mr. Ghodsi co-​founded and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board of «Rigid Global Buildings». In January 2011 Rigid went global when it merged with Jinhuan Steel Structures.

The international market is not unknown to Alireza. In his capacity as Executive Vice President and Owner he has spent over twenty years developing, selling and managing international offices and projects. He set up offices in Philippines and Seoul Korea in the mid 1990’s. Recently, Recently, Alireza was privileged in December 2010 to be among the select few Iranian American Businessmen to travel with Paul Brinkley, Deputy Secretary of Defense to Robert Gates, to Afghanistan and Basra, Iraq to discuss how the private sector can help in the rebuilding of these two countries.
