First if this She’ll was located in any slightly nicer area, the four stars I’ve awarded would be 2, tops. But when you are a rose among thorns, so to speak, you are much nicer. Beats the Texaco and the scary little once-a-game-room that are with it at the Gessner/Tanner intersection. My advice is cruise down to Gessner/Clay and hit up the Valero.

Among 3 convenient stores at this busy street corner of Gessner and Tanner, this Shell gas station is most popular. Not just the Cajun food at Chester Fried in the foods mart, but it has the capacity to serve diesel trucks. Since the price of gas is comparable to Texaco across street, there is no reason to go anywhere if you are traveling south bound on Gessner. They’re equipped with 6 gasoline pumps, 4 diesel pumps and lots of parking to accommodate a lunch crowd. This gas station closes hours before midnight.
