SNS Organic Nails

SNS is not my regular nail salon. I came here one night because I was in desperate need for a pedicure after work and SNS was open late. I feel that the the service is a little overpriced compared to other nail salons. However, I was willing to pay a little more because they were open when other locations were not. The service was good and the ladies were nice.

Based on the pedicure I will give a 3.5 the shellac deserves a — star. This is the second time I have tried this location first time came for shellac they said no the SNS dip would be better based on my nails. She applied it and the cool is a mess she begins to try to us the drill to get the powder to smooth out to the correct color. I will upload pics, ultimately this was for an interview, so I had to have her just do polish when I arrive for the interview had to find a salon to repolish.
Second time left work late so they were the only salon open, I go in and say shellac polish and pedicure and told the girl no powder SNS was awful last time I had it, she starts the shellac and air bubbles form it is on my skin and too far on my cuticles according to her, the she get the drill to fix this. WHY, as u can see from the pic I spent 85.00 on Thursday and it is Monday and I have chipped cracked nails and am in the salon in Florida getting the redone. Calling my credit card company! One time ok fluke twice no way over it!!! I will be happy to pay cost and give tip but this is really sad and just as the work hard I work hard to enjoy a great service which this was not!

Extremely friendly staff who are meticulous about their work. A bit pricy but they don’t rush you so it’s totally worth it if you’re looking for a spa experience. Do yourself a favor– get the ginger tea… Authentic and made in-​house!

Thy did a great job! She’s very detailed and friendly. Prices are decent given the area of town. Place was kinda hot … Could of cranked up the A/​C but other than that — I’d come back :)

They took fantastic care of us! I called around 2:45p to ask for a 3:30 appointment for my mom, sister, and myself and they were very accommodating. Very efficient yet still made us feel welcome and well cared for. Great service!

Came here on a whim with a girlfriend who suggested this place for the SNS nail dipping powder (as she wanted to help ween me off my bad nail biting habit). I was told that it’s no where near as harsh as acrylic, and can keep the form of your natural nails. Our technician, T, is not only the sweetest, but she was great at giving us what we asked for. I’ve returned twice since then and both ladies, T and Yvonne, treated me with great care and provided excellent service. Will continue to come back for their organic nail dipping services.
Tip: they serve complimentary drinks — wine, water. but my favorite is the ginger tea.

My first time doing SNS nails and I was pretty happy with the result. Girls are nice and patient (I’m super picky). I did expect thinner nails with SNS (as opposed to acrylic) so that’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.

This place is a little more expensive than any other salons I have been to in Houston. On average, it’s about $ 5 more or so, make sure you look at their pricing menu before you decide on what services you would like.
I enjoyed it here because the ladies are all really friendly and they truly pay attention to the details. I came in with a design I wanted for my nails and the results came out perfectly. They also offer free different flavored hot teas. I tried the ginger tea and it was okay.
The only drawback is make sure you have plenty of time to get your nails done because I was here for a little over 2 hours getting a classic pedicure and shellac manicure. It is a fairly small shop and they get busy, so if you decide to get any services done, better call to make an appointment.

Wrote an original review but I really had a problem with Ngoc untruthfulness and rudeness in her four replies, which at this point sounds very unprofessional, targeted and personal.
I should have kept the original review and reply, since you wanted to prove your business operations and character to the world.

I called salon at 10:26 am, after they opened and the owner did not return my call until 2 hours later. Don’t tell me I’m not telling the truth and respond that I called at 9 am when I have a screen shot of the time I called the establishment.
Don’t get mad because I said it is usual for a nail salon to have only two customers in the late morning early afternoon, because it is for Houston. Don’t get mad at me for stating what I saw. I uses to go to various salons all over Houston for years every week, all times of the day and personally, I’ve never visited a salon with only 2 customers on a late Saturday morning, which really seemed unusual based on my experiences.
This place is a bit difficult to find, don’t take it personal I stated that. T, one of the nail technicians confirmed that from feedback from other customers and former customers.
This was my first time getting the dipping application, and I did not know what to expect. For $ 45, I expected the dead skin along side of nails to get removed. T began informing me of the salons process after the application began. This should be told to customers while they are at the front desk. This salon offers a range of colors for the sipping application. The sipping is similar to shellac in my opinion, less chemicals, different method.
T, your nail tech, stated a lot of customers complained that SNS Salon charges an additional $ 20 not including the $ 45 for the sipping application to manicure the nails, which is why now you offer a $ 5 up charge for cuticle treatment rather than including the cuticle clean up in the $ 45 for the sipping application.
Ngoc, from SNS, told me I need to do my research and I did. Your competitor, Exceptional Nails (4 star Unilocal rating) located in the galleria area, offers manicures dipping for $ 35 and that’s just one of the few I found.
But like you said, no other salon treats cuticles during an application in Houston.
Instead of targeting Unilocalers, work on a new business and marketing strategies.
Don’t get me wrong, As the service goes, which is what I originally rated, excellent customer service, very friendly. Jenny is very meticulous and thorough when it comes to her pedicure craft.
I can’t rate the entire sns application experience yet until I see if they truly last for 3 weeks. Based on my photos, dead skin around nail and the dipping application looks okay, I think it’s overhyped like everything new trend. T did take her time and explain the benefits of the application.
The pedicure looks like what I get at my usual salon but I must say, Jenny really takes her time and makes sure nothing is missed, huge plus. The service is the same as what I am already accustomed to, so to me, it wasn’t anything special. I always say, if you are not accustomed to anything, then everything seems impressive. The only thing that makes this salon stand out is the sipping system, which there are quite a few highly rated salons offering the same service.

Realize its expensive and ask for pricing going in. I went there (walk in) and got done right away. I asked for SNS and she asked if I wanted cuticles. For an SNS mani, I assumed cuticles came with — NOPE it’s another $ 5. There are multiple signs that say $ 15 OFF SNS manicure, I got no such discount. ASK FOR PRICING BEFORE AGREEING TO ANYTHING. The actual service is good, the lady was nice. I am very picky and ask for a specific look with a picture and did not get that look but my nails look fine so I’m fine with it. It’s not bad so I am giving 3 stars for expensive pricing/​incorrect signage, and not going with my vision. I’d give 3.5 because my lady was sweet– but that’s not an option. Not bad work, but for that price I could’ve gone elsewhere. $ 45 for the SNS nails, $ 5 for cuticles = $ 50 trip for nails that were not what I was looking for.
Update: The owner will respond to your comment which is great but a little defensive– still stand by my review as it did not last 3 weeks only 1. So if you have a job where you are hard on your hands or workout a lot than this may not be worth the splurge. I don’t understand the diff between their signs (mani usually includes cuticles) and the comment from the owner below but that’s okay. I found a better fit elsewhere.

So I’m from out of town and was looking for a place to spend some time with my mom. I’m always looking for healthy alternatives so this place struck me pretty quickly.
All I can say is that this was one of the best experiences I have had in a nail salon. My mom and I both did SNS nails and a deluxe pedicure. The women were so incredibly welcoming and kind throughout the entire time.
I’m a musician so I have a very strange request for my nails and its that my left hand is short and square and my right is long and almond shaped. I’ve tried to get so many places to do this for me but they can never seem to get it right. Yvonne did not disappoint. She actually got a kick out of my weird nails. I promised her when I posted the photo of my nails I would be sure to explain so everyone knows I’m the crazy one! Hhaha
I loved this place so much I wish I could move it back to Nashville with me. I absolutely 100% would recommend SNS organic nails to anyone.

So, I won’t lie: I’m pretty loyal to my Rice Village salon. But with my work hours and so many weekends out of town, I can’t always make it there!
Pros: SNS is open until 8 most nights, which means I can go after work. Was it the best manicure ever? No. But it was good, and it will get me through the next few weeks! They offer free water, tea, and wine and often have specials (ask when you go in). Lots of colors of shellac.
Cons: HORRIBLE service. I tried to go in for an emergency manicure last night (broken shellac nail), and when I walked in I saw two employees with customers already and another woman waiting. And no one said anything to me! Not hello. Not: «It’ll be 10 minutes.» So I left. Without with an idea of his low long the wait was, I wasn’t going to just hang around. I cut my own nail and I’ll be at my Rice Village salon on Saturday for a better manicure.

Have been here twice now and, by far, this is the best little nail salon in Texas. Yvonne and the other technicians here go over the top to accommodate your needs, likes and make you feel special. Love, love, love my nails. I will continue to go back while I”m in the Houston area (I’m here for medical reasons) and work it into my schedule when I come back to Houston for medical checkups in the future. Wish I could take this salon, Yvonne and the staff back to Austin with me.

It’s been so long since I’ve thoroughly enjoyed a Nail salon experience and it’s sad because it doesn’t matter what end of the price spectrum I try! Luckily today I decided to visit SNS for my first «organic» nail treatments and I was not disappointed! Yvonne is lovely, and I certainly hope she’s valued as a professional because I am looking forward to becoming a regular! My SNS acrylic dipped nails were done fast and look lovely! I do prefer slightly more sculpted and shaped nails but I’m trying a very natural look for now. Special thanks to Lynn also for the fantastic pedicure and massage. See ya soon, with friends!

I’m new to Houston and recently discovered Gel dip. It’s way better and less harsh (no putting your hand in the gel thing to burn)! I love this place because it’s all natural and they really spend time on you! It’s relaxing and the owner really put a lot of thought into the décor. Super cute! I can’t wait to come back with more friends!

Come and get spoiled by the great staffs here. Rest assured, you will not be disappointed. Nice and warm atmosphere.

This place was absolutely amazing and Yvette is the sweetest lady ever I was surprised how late they were open for business. The location is convenient and I was very happy to go there. Definitely a place to go if you want to treat your self.

Was my first time trying sns! It is amazing feels and looks extremely natural. I could not be happier with how they turned out they were super accommodating to the color, shape and everything I wanted. Will definitely go back! So lucky to have found this gem. This place is perfect for people who want an alternative to harsh chemicals found in polishes and such.

Yvonne is incredible! She introduced me to SNS nails and I’m HOOKED. It’s been 2+ weeks since my last appointment and other than growing out my nails look as good as when I first got them done. No chipping, no scuffs, nothing! Plus I love walking into a salon that doesn’t smell like chemicals. Everyone there was super nice. I’ve definitely found my go-​to nail salon. :)

My friend & I showed up 30 minutes early & we were seated immediately. The visit started out rough, but the end result was perfect. I got a color full set & just the regular pedicure. Make sure you call ahead for an appointment. My friend & I were there for about 2, 2 ½ hours. The salon is very calming & very CLEAN. It’s nice that they offer complimentary drinks while you get your nails done. I will definitely return here.

So today was the first time to try this place. I have done SNS before so this wasn’t new. I called this afternoon around 230 & spoke with Yvonne. First off her English is perfect, very educated in all products & was nice the whole time. I did schedule an appointment only because Yvonne said to in case they would be busy. I got to there a few mins before my appointment & she took me in immediately. My four yr old went first & they painted her nails, her technician was perfect with her. Now remember ladies I have my 9 month old with me. Not on person complain or looked at me ugly due to her getting fussy. Instead they played with her. Yvonne did a fabulous job, and made sure my nails were perfect. I spent $ 69 on my SNS tip nails & my daughter feet n nails. I can say money well spent. Plus their hours are the best. Open till 8′ o’clock amazing!!!
I will be going back & they have Me as a lifetime happy customer.

There are nail places on every corner on Houston. The shopping center by my house has three within the same strip.
I don’t think I’m high maintenance with nails, however I don’t want to pay for a hack job one tends to get at the run of the mill salons. I came into this salon because of the Unilocal reviews, and I am very inpressed!
There is a limited staff so the feeling in the salon is more relaxed, with more individual care tailored to you. Do keep that in mind, you may want to call ahead of time before walking in after 4pm or they may not be able to see you.
I get the SNS set and I have yet to break a nail, even with all the hard work I put my hands through daily.
I definitely recommend asking for a cup of their warm Ginger tea. It is delicious!
I love this place as far as location, pricing and overall experience.

I arrived at 6:56pm and they said they couldn’t take me because they close at 8pm. Waste of my time I could’ve gone to another shop but because I went there all the other shops were closed by time I left. I won’t be back.

Did a Shellac french nail manicure and a regular pedicure there, cost me $ 66+tips, reasonable price for a nail shop in that area. I went on a Friday afternoon and I was pretty much the only one there. Nice people, great customer service. The girl really takes her time to do the job. Prices are shown to you upfront, you can pick which package you wanted, they also have happy hour on Monday to Friday (can’t remember the time frame).

The best pedicure I have ever gotten! I did the deluxe pedicure for $ 46 ($ 10 off of that with the special they had going on) and it was amazing! The shoulder massage was a nice addition to the pedicure.
I also got the SNS nails and usually I’m pretty picky about my nails, but she did a great job on them! I was very happy how they turned out.
The salon is nicely decorated and very relaxing. They will definitely take the time to do a good job and won’t rush. I will be going back as a returning customer!

Amazing, relaxing, my new regular nail salon! I found them on Unilocal and wanted to give it a try. First of all, there’s no chemical smell like when you walk into other salons. I later found out it’s because they truly are organic. The lotions they use are homemade. You get a neck and shoulder massage with the deluxe pedicure and it’s wonderful!
The service is first class and they are very kind and friendly. My mani-​pedi looks amazing and I feel gorgeous. My skin is so soft from the products they use! I’m definitely a regular now.
They’re tucked away and it’s perfect. You’re at peace the entire time you’re in the salon. I couldn’t ask for a better experience!

I’m ashamed of the way my nails look right now. This is by far the worst «dip powder» set I’ve gotten. The nails are extremely lumpy and thick. Based off the reviews I thought this would be the perfect place to go while I was in Houston visiting but clearly I made the wrong choice. I’m better off getting my nails done in Dallas for a better quality and price! Very disappointed.
Update: Have you ever walked into a room of people and it got extremely quiet? As if they were talking about you before you walked in? Well combine that feeling with an extremely cold shoulder and that was how my second visit can be described. Based on the treatment and customer service I received I just knew they had read my review, but there was so comment underneath my post to rectify my concerns so I assumed they hadn’t read it. It was so awkward sitting there and there was absolutely no conversation. I only requested that she buff all the nails so that they would appear level and uniform as opposed to the lumpy photo I posted. Truthfully, I should’ve requested a whole new set because after the buffing there were faded spots in my dip but I just wanted the visit to be over. After she finished I walked over to the counter to pay because I didn’t expect her to fix it for free. She told me «no charge but please take off the one star rating…» Based on the touch up of my nails and that the level of service I received was horrible for the price I paid… My original rating stands.

Had my acrylic nails removed and got a shellac manicure! Yvonne did an amazing job! My nails are perfect! I had chose a difficult (almost sheer) color but she did a fantastic job making it solid and looking great! Very satisfied!

I want to thank Organic Nails for their full efforts in making me feel like a queen. From the time I arrived till I walked out the door.
I was 15days from a major knee surgery so I was on crutches when I arrived. Thuong & another one of her assistants raced to the door to assist in opening the door for me to walk in. I only was going to get a full set because I thought it would be very difficult to get on the pedi chair for a pedi. Thuong talked me into getting a pedi, which I very much needed anyway. I just want to say thank you so much for being very careful & delicate with my leg.
You & your team made it very easy & was so careful with my leg.

I wasn’t expecting much for a salon that is open late, but these ladies went way above and beyond. First of all, the place is so CLEAN. I mean, NEW tools for each client, clean foot baths, fresh polish, the works. A brand-​new foot file – not the same cheese grater already used on half of the city. I was also very pleased to find that they used products with clean, fresh scents – as opposed to the overwhelming foul smells of the usual nail salon.
It was a very relaxing experience. When I arrived they offered me cold water or hot tea, and handed me a menu of services with the prices clearly written out, including available add-​ons. The ladies were all very soft spoken – no shouting at each other across the salon. And best of all, there was no television blasting bad news while I was trying to just chill out. I can’t wait to go back.
FYI: services are cheaper before 7pm, but at least they’re still available later than that, if you need them.

After looking through other reviews on Unilocal,I was skeptical to come here because there were multiple people questioning the validity of the reviews. However, I think those could very well be real reviews– I just wouldn’t be willing to pay such high prices again for the services we received.
This all started by Organic being one of the few nail salons open after 7pm in Houston. We called and made reservations, asked on the phone what cheaper pedicure options they had available (originally asked about the Deluxe for $ 50 because it was advertised for check in special on Unilocal and they only told me about the Classic for $ 40, never mentioning they have a Basic option for $ 30) showed up 10 minutes early for two pedicures. It felt like a lot of money for just a pedicure, but it said it was an hour long, included neck and shoulder massage, and that they served wine as well.
For two one-​hour pedicures, they ended up taking two hours. Each of us was stuck waiting for a long time (they were already polishing my toes when they first started actually taking care of my friend) despite us having an appointment on a Monday evening with 4 technicians in the salon. We were never offered anything to drink, which I expect for pedicures in Texas over $ 25 (and was also mentioned in another review for the place!!)
It was extremely clean and they were very careful about cutting cuticles without reusing any tools, but I was pretty fed up for what I consider to be standard service (I expect tools to be clean, etc.) and I hated being stuck in a salon until 9:30 when I expected to be done an hour earlier and have time to run errands. Extremely overpriced. Not returning.
Also, one of the reasons I got the Deluxe was specifically for extra callous removal, and they barely did anything at all.
**Update: As the owner mentions in the comment below, she called me after posting this review and offered a free pedicure and a better experience. The Classic and Basic information I mentioned earlier came from a picture posted of their happy hour menu, which gave a $ 4 discount for each service if you came earlier. We came in at 7:45 and didn’t get out of the salon until a little after 9:30 (I remember that vividly). We did get a neck massage as mentioned, which was absolutely heavenly but were never offered anything to drink as mentioned in previous reviews by others. Everything I said in my review was my experience, so please feel free to try it out on your own. I felt extremely uncomfortable when the store owner called me afterwards to make excuses and offered free services. Two stars literally comes with the caption, «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» and that’s how I still feel about the experience.
Everything I have said in this review is completely accurate to my experience at Organic Nails and Spa. None of what is previously mentioned is at all «untrue.»

Omg! Cleanest place I’ve ever been! Spotless! It is so important for me, and the service! Yvonne did a great job on my nails, I got white wine and got pampered :)
I did acrylic powder, and let me tell you that finding a place that does that is not easy.

I recently came in for a pedicure and I was very pleased. I will say that the wait was pretty long to get in. They looked understaffed for the Friday before the 4^th of July. I guess I should call ahead next time. But, once I got my pedicure started, it was great. I’m not sure what the woman’s name was that worked on me, but she gave the best foot massage ever! She definitely took her time and didn’t rush through any of it.
It’s been a few days since my pedi and I think my toes look great. I’m very happy with the service here.

So I have now come back to edit my first review. My mothers nails have broken clear off after one day. Her thumb nail split up he regular nail and the fake nail ripped off. Will not be coming back :(

Okay so this is my second time trying to review this place. My technician was new and I was his first costumer. I received the $ 30 pedicure and plain coat of polish, no designs. The pedicure itself, 4 out of 5 starts. The polish job 3 out of 5. It was not evenly coated and honestly I could’ve done a better job at home. The atmosphere is very welcoming & they offer drinks. Tommy was my mothers technician and he was AMAZING. Funny, informational, did a good job and had us on our toes. My guy was new and didn’t speak very well. I couldn’t hear much of what he was saying so Tommy would repeat whatever he said. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. The pedicure was awesome, the polish job iffy. I might re-​paint them later.
Waxing: I got my eyebrows done after expressing concern after my last experience at a different shop. When the owner said she was finished I looked into a mirror & they didn’t match at all. I was a little horrified. She came back to fix them and they are now decent. 2.5 out of 5 for eyebrow waxing.

Wanted!!! relaxation and retail therapy, immediately if not sooner. Found this little jewel by the galleria.
My niece and I were greeted upon entry and offered WINE!!! And other beverages but all I heard was WINE! The owner and staff were attentive and accommodating.
We Californians are all about the environment and the concept and practices of organic are right on point.
I will be returning every single time I come to Houston.

If you are in the Galleria area, you should definitely try this nail salon! I tried Organic Nails on a whim after reading the positive reviews. I am so glad I did! There was no wait and the salon was very clean.
They offer customers their very own set of nail tools to be used on each return visit. I got to choose my nail color from a really neat color wheel that lets you hold the color over your actual nail to see how it looks on your skin tone. They offer several different types and price ranges of manicures and pedicures, from $ 15 and up. I chose a mid-​range one that included a neck/​shoulder massage.
The whole experience was super relaxing and lasted about an hour. My nails look fabulous with no flaws whatsoever! They had really neat stick on flip-​flops to leave in, and candy on the way out. I will definitely be back for my next mani/​pedi!
