I’m addicted to owner Stephanie Lienhard’s soaps. I drive in from west memorial for my fix! ;) I have really sensitive skin and hers are the first I’ve used that actually smell divine & don’t make my skin freak out. Score!
Also there is always a delightful crafty piece of art or jewelry or a home décor item I splurge on. This place is a gem.
Now if we could only convince her to reopen her incredible vegetarian restaurant concept in Houston (it was the fainting goat in bellville). I was hooked years ago before I was even a vegetarian!

Still loving Sparrow and The Nest. They had some wonderful handmade items for Valentine’s Day. And now, they’ve got VOODOO GIRLS t-​shirts! I’m a partner with artist, Sam Sartorious (wonderful artist in her own right). Check out the Voodoo Girls t-​shirts next time you drop by SATN! Mermaid, Cloud and Warrior await you!

Fabulous spot! Attended a girls’ night here last week. We nibbled on some snacks, had too much wine, and managed to make some cool abstract landscape pieces (thanks to Stephanie’s guidance and «tricks»)… I also purchased some fun gifts by local artists that I can’t wait to pop in the mail! What a great night at a great place.

What a gem in Houston. The format, selection, vibe, and yes as mentioned by other reviewers the owner is amazing. I was having an «off» week and walked in and Stephanie MADE my day. She helped me pick out /​/​make a gift for my dear friend which was so fun!
They have so many gift options — go here before a chain store with all the same stuff to wear and gift!

Do yourself a favor and visit this charming little shop. Handmade soaps… original art made by local artists… adorable creature gardens with live plants… cool jewelry. I have found so many thoughtful, interesting gifts and objects d’ art every time I go. And Stephanie and Andrew (owners) are AMAZING! If you have time, you should also sign up for a workshop. Stephanie is so good at bringing out the creativity in even the most non-​artistic person. I will be back soon!

What can I say about this that others haven’t already said? The Sparrow and the Nest is incredible! Each time that I go there, I find something new to buy for myself or someone else. Stephanie has done an incredible job of curating the artists/​work that is shown in her shop. I know that I found quite a few of my Christmas gifts there this year! Oh… and she rocks for always having free chocolate out on the counter for her customers! I’m sure that I’ll be in the store again this week for something.
