We Specialize in Guyanese Cuisine, is a mix of African, East Indian, Portuguese, and Chinese influences. Guyana is one of a few mainland countries of South America that is considered to be a part of the Caribbean region. Guyanese culture shares many characteristics with the cultures of islands in the West Indies, particularly in the coastal regions of the country. It is a country with many different cultures including the descendants of the original Amerindians called the Warrou’s, Africans, East Indians, Chinese, Portuguese and British, all of whom have left their mark on both the culture and cuisine which is enjoyed by the Guyanese people today. However, the Creole cuisine created by the African has been adopted and widely eaten by all the other ethnic groups living in Guyana.

Established in 2013.

Founder: Ashanti Hewston had a passion for food ever since my Grandmother let me stir the homemade stews and soups each time we prepared for family occasions and celebrations. In high school, I began to prepare nightly meals for my family, creating my own dishes, exploring different ingredients, and perfecting dishes that have been passed down from my family for generations. It was not long until Thanksgiving became «my» holiday leaving the planning, creating, and executing entirely in my hands.

I discovered my love for cooking at a young age. Each holiday creating a new dish that captures the flavor and spirit of the day and in the households of families I began to sell to. With simple beginnings, My passion for cooking, baking, and creating ignited.

My interests were reinforced during my High School years, I would create meals for my classmates to come eat and mingle with one another. This experience in carrying events from beginning to end reinforced my serious interest to pursue a
