Kim is the best. I’ve been waxed twice by her and she does a great job and is so nice! The spa is clean and pretty.

Lihn the hair stylist is amazing! He was the first stylist in years to actually accomplish what I wanted in a cut, and I have now been going back to him for 2 years. I have naturally wavy Caucasian hair, untreated, long to the middle of my back, medium thickness. I wear it something wavy, sometimes flatironed. His cut looks great both ways, to the point that I get compliments (didn’t happen often with other cuts). He is flexible with his appointment times and very friendly. He is comfortable chatting (if I want the pampered experience) or working in silence (if I just want to relax) which is refreshing at a salon. He gives excellent scalp massages. Affordable! I highly recommend him.

This spa is so lovely and relaxing. I’ve come here three times so far to get my hair done by Linh, hes absolutely amazing at doing hair. He is a perfectionist when it comes to cut, style, and color, and that’s a good thing. I have extremely thick, coarse, curly black hair and he washes and blow dries it effortlessly. I recently got highlights and a cut here as well and I couldn’t be happier with my new trendy, weightless hair. I got exactly what I asked for (I brought a picture, and Linh studied it before starting on my hair, he gave me exactly what I wanted, hes such a pro!). I highly recommend coming here, I have not tried their other services just yet, but in the hair department they are spot on. Very reasonable prices too for that part of town. Treat yourself! I wish I could give this review a negative star. I spoke with a man named Tony who was completely worthless. I booked an appointment with him which I bought on Groupon. I called him to schedule the couples massage at 3 pm. He called me back and said he was busy at that time. I explained to him that it was my boyfriends birthday and he said he would see what he could do. After not hearing from him, I thought that all was well and showed up to my 3:00 appointment. He said he wasnt able to fit me in because he had an appointment at 4 which still gave enough time for our massages. He clearly wasnt doing anything when we arrived and couldve done it. He argued with me and didnt try to rectify the situation to meet my needs. He didnt show empathy towards how upset I was and completely rude by talking over me. I suggest that people dont even give this business a second glance and I have reported them to groupon. Terrible place with crappy people who work there. Save your money and time.

Okay, this may seem very misleading, but I do want to warn all other GroupOn lovers the trouble. This MAY OR MAY NOT be from Synergy Day Spa, but the GroupOn says they do work with the company.
So me and my boyfriend purchased a Couple Massage deal. I tried telling this man (will not be named) for an appointment. I am trying to be biased about this man, but he had a thick accent and also had trouble understand on what I’m saying. First off, I made an appointment with him which was great, then when he asked me about the GroupOn number, I told him I did not purchased it. He told me to pay the $ 90 through the phone but I told him I had a cheaper price for $ 38 WHICH HE SAID HE CAN PAY. So I paid over the phone… tell me WHY it came from a sketchy text message that led to a receipt from Square (the app that handles transactions) with a very unprofessional name «
». I would assume if you are working ANYWHERE, you would have everything presented well. So I was very sketched out and purchased the GroupOn just in case anything happens. I called him again to cancel what I purchased through the phone and used my GroupOn instead, but he kept dodging or trying to beat around the bushes about it. With my frustration, I decided to let it go until my appointment was ready.
So when me and my boyfriend TRAVELED AN HOUR for our massage, it turned out to be a mixed up. He told me that I paid for a SINGLE massage through the phone. I told him several times it was a couple massage that day I called him. He told me he had to reschedule. I wanted to make a scene, but I held composure and told him I was going to call him back AND I wanted my $ 38 refund BACK. He told me he was going to call ‘Square’ and it should be refunded within 2 – 3 days. SO, I waited for a week, he texted me for my ADDRESS for him to send me a check. It was starting to get very unacceptable and I sent him a text back saying «If you do not send my check within Friday, I will dispute the payment». Then he said I was arrogant and difficult? Excuse me for trying to get my money back after two weeks.
So beware.

I went in to get a massage today by Mary and let me tell you it was amazing!!! I loved every minute of it. I would definitely come back and recommend anyone to get a massag with Mary.

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for brazilian waxes and I love how careful they are. They make sure they try to get every hair! Kim is also super nice and helpful. :)
Price is right, too!

I stopped in without an appointment today and they got me right in for a classic pedicure. The pedicurist was a sweet woman who did a great job — thorough, neat, and a great paint job. She even got me a pair of cheap flip flops from the back room when we realized that my shoes wouldn’t work with wet toes!
If you’re really picky about color, I might suggest you bring your own color as their selection is a little lacking.
For $ 40 I felt I go my moneys worth! I’ll be back.

Awesome spa! Love the atomosphere and the people that work their… Very Customer Friendly!!! I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing moment. :)

Worst facial ever — I believe the «expert“‘s name was Sunny or Sony. She disappeared from the room for 10 – 20 minutes multiple times and was way too rough with the extractions. Now that I am looking at my face after it looks like she did a very incomplete job. No suggestions on moisturizers or anything after she was done. Just tried to rush me out as quick as possible.

I purchased a groupon for a Brazilian wax and I am so happy to say that I’m going to be sticking with Synergy all summer! I’ve purchased a few groupons for salons around town to find a good match for me to get regular waxing, but none were as welcoming and detailed.
First, I was able to get an appointment at the time I wanted, with pretty short notice. Turns out, during the week they are mostly scheduled by appointment only. It helps because I didn’t have to wait, and could be in and out on my lunch break from work.
Second, the atmosphere was so comforting and relaxing. Calming music and super comfy bed, made the experience of waxing way more enjoyable (which I didn’t think was possible). The décor and layout of the Spa makes me want to explore the other services they offer.
Third, Kim was really, really great. It sounds strange, but I’ve never had any wax specialist be as detailed and thorough as her. I’ve had many Brazilians before, but she has done the best job, by far. I have Native American heritage, so I have thick hair, and a lot of it, but she took her time and I’m super happy with the results.
Overall, I loved my experience at Synergy. With monthly appointments at $ 40/​month, you really cannot beat the price either. I’ve been to a lot of salons/​spas and I always feel like I’m getting pushed into buying more products or upgrading the services or whatever. So it was just really nice to feel comfortable, and still taken care of for a service that has the potential to be awkward.

I got my permanent eyeliner done on ¹¹⁄₂₉ and I LOVE IT… Kim is the best. she is amazing. I love my tattoo it didn’t hurt and it healed perfect.
I Highly Recommend Synergy

Came here for a Brazilian… and it was brutal. No idea what her name was as there was no introduction, but I assure you I will not be returning. It was rushed, messy, and incredibly painful. The woman did not seem to be strong enough to pull the strips in one clean motion, so it was repetitive pulling and pain in one area until she could get the strip off. This is definitely NOT my first Brazilian, but it will be the last I ever get at this spa as it was the worst I have ever had.
On a positive side, the salon is clean and beautiful (inside an old renovated house), so perhaps a mani pedi would be a better option.

I really wanted to like this place. I was able to get an appointment quickly. Parking was adequate and easy, the décor welcoming.
Now here are for the major pros and cons.
Pros:
Nice décor and ambiance
Relaxing music
Small but cozy treatment room
Appreciated the skin care advice
Linens on table were abundant and smelled good
Although my skin was a bit «raw» after the facial, it felt soft and moisturized later.
Cons:
Short wait before facial
No clue who did my facial, no introduction
Wasn’t offered water despite the 2 cases behind the counter
Very flimsy and narrow table to lay on, it rotates and shakes at the first move you make
Overly abundant steam with strong lemon scent
Therapist kept leaving room while masks were drying (2x for over 10 minutes each) and to get products etc…
Timer for steam machine never stopped during the entire treatment — who can relax with a timer in their ear?
Neck and shoulder massage was nice but lasted a whole 2 minutes.
I think this place has good potential and more attention to the customer would greatly improve the overall experience. I think the therapist was good but her customer service skills were really lacking.
I may have caught her on a bad day, I don’t know. Unfortunately, because of the lack of service I received, I won’t be back.

I found Synergy on Unilocal and decided to venture there last weekend for a pedicure. The lady that started on my feet did not speak english nor did it seem she had any clue what she was doing. It could have been the first pedicure of her life and was very clumsy. She kept dropping tools and had shaky hands. not someone you want to tryst with your feet and sharp objects. I would have given them 1 star for that. However, after about 10 minutes, the lady that was asking as the receptionist noticed what was happening. She came over and she did a wonderful job with my feet. I would have given her 5 stars! Big difference. In places like this the person makes all the difference.
I don’t know their names, so I can’t point you to the good one… but if she speaks english that is probably the one!

I purchased two groupons for Brazilian waxes at different places. After having a horrible experience at the first place, I was hesitant to use the groupon I had for Synergy Day Spa.
Sonya is extremely pleasant and makes me feel comfortable. She does a wonderful job and I’ve been to her twice already and am going for my third Brazilian wax today. If you go to her monthly, it is only $ 40– super affordable for quality waxing!

I signed up for an hour massage and the classic facial for early on a Saturday morning. Synergy is in an old house that’s been converted so it doesn’t have the features of some spas (saunas, whirlpools, etc.) and it could feel a little cramped. None-​the-​less, the ambiance is comfortable and relaxing.
My massage with Kevin was one of the best I’ve ever had. His technique and pressure was great and checked in with me frequently to make sure I was comfortable. He took the time to massage my head and face, which I love. I will be back.
The facial was much more so/​so. I may have had a different experience had I booked something besides the classic (most basic). However, the aesthetician took a long time coming back when I changed and left me in the room twice for an extended period of time.
Come for the massage. Set reasonable expectations for what «Day Spa» means in this instance — it’s not a bring your book, stay for lunch in the sauna type of place — and you’ll be happy.

I went to Synergy to get a deep conditioning and organic facial (using an expired living social deal). It is a cute little shop, nicely decorated, and everything smells good. First off, they are very knowledgeable about hair and skin care and they are more than willing to share it with you. They are open to questions about anything.
I told my Tea (the hairstylist) that I just wanted the deep conditioning, but he shampooed, conditioned, did a blow out, AND styled it for the same price. He even suggested a way to condition my hair at home and exactly what to look for. He only recommended products I might like to try, nothing I didn’t need.
Kim is the woman that did my facial. She was also very generous and even did a Clarisonic Opal treatment and applied some of the sunscreen she uses so I could sample the products. She also encouraged doing research at home on my own before purchasing anything.
The best part is, they don’t tell you things to sell their products. If you don’t need it, they will tell you you don’t. They give you advice as if you were a friend. They tell you what to get, where to get it, and how much you expect to pay for it and there’s no pressure to buy it from them. I’ve never met a friendlier bunch. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here.

I bought a dealfind coupon to this place on a whim. I always feel like I’m being scolded by my hairdressers for not going in for haircuts every 6 weeks, but honestly, that gets expensive really fast and I like my hair long. As such, I usually go in every 6 months. So when I saw a coupon for a haircut, I thought «it’s been long enough. Might as well go.»
The salon is quite small with only three stools and mirrors. I was the only client when I walked in and it was nice. I didn’t feel like he rushed through the haircut and I felt like he could really focus on doing the best job on my hair. I went in with my usual Mandy Moore collage (fyi, if you got a round face, so does Mandy Moore and her hair usually looks awesome) and I walked out looking like Mandy Moore. Okay, okay, that’s an exaggeration. But he really did do a great job.
Bonus points for the fact that he kept complimenting my hair the whole time and at the end said «thank you for the honor of working on such nice hair.» Even if that’s a hairdresser line sometimes, I’m going to live in my own little world and pretend he really meant it.

Today was my first time trying Synergy because I was looking for a new salon/​spa and saw a BWM deal for a spa manicure/​pedicure. From the minute I walked in to the hours later I walked out, it was a fabulous experience. My manicurist/​pedicurist was so friendly & accommodating that I never had to reach for a magazine!
Also, today they were offering a free hair wash/​dry if one purchases a manicure/​pedicure — this was exciting. Tai took care of my hair and it’s never looked so clean, shiny, and well, beautiful. My hair doesn’t even look like this when I get a haircut! He clearly knew what he was doing.
I would agree with Tine that the décor is very relaxing as is their music selection. It was both an enjoyable and peaceful experience. I think I’ve found my new salon /​spa :)
