Another 5 star jobby from my work trip. When we got here we were fresh off a long flight, had just checked into our hotel down the street and were dying for some Mexican. The place is unassuming when you go inside but its really delicious. Looks almost like a cafeteria or fast food restaurant but the food is SO much better than you’d expect at first glance around the place. My fish tacos were perfection. My co-worker had the chicken tacos and he said they were awesome too. Salsa was on point and I still have not figured out what the green sauce in the kethcup bottle was, but I would absolutely put that shit on everything. Like, bathe in it. Best part? The bill comes and its $ 16. I said«Um, this is for both of us” — and she said«yes theyre both on there». Great food, awesome prices. DOITTTTTTTT

Pretty good breakfast. Fajita beef is so good. Also had a breakfast taco, pretty authentic. Now the green sauce… lets just say, someone can hook me up an IV and feed me the green sauce intravenously… it is that damn good. Prices are decent. Just Make sure when you get an OJ, a large is pretty large lol. We will be back

Good consistent service, the breakfast is decent but it could be better. Wish they had homemade tortillas daily!

This is one of my favorite cheap Mexican restaurants. I guess the reason I like it so much, is because it’s fairly close to the food I ate at home. It doesn’t have all the fireworks and flair that other Mexican restaurants have and they aren’t Tex-Mex. Don’t get me wrong, Tex Mex is delish, but it’s not Mexican food. When I am hungry and want something fairly authentic, this is one of my go to places. If I need something I would have eaten at home(as I can never make my food as good as my mom) then I come here for a close second or third. At times I do think they could keep the tables a bit cleaner, which is why I knocked a star off this place, but otherwise, it’s good cheap Mexican food. If you want mariachis or a crowded trendy place, this isn’t for you. But if you just want good greasy, home style Mexican food, give it a try. There’s Spanish tv in the background and it’s really laid back, no hipsters, no trendy people, just regular folks wanting something close to their mom’s cooking.

This is a nice little Mexican restaurant just southwest of the Rice Village area and near the Astrodome. All of the prices are extremely reasonable and the food is fairly authentic with enough of a Tex Mex twist to draw in a more casual crowd. The specials are all reasonably priced combination plates, while the a la carte options are a little pricier than I’d like, but still well worth it if you don’t want the rice and beans. I’ve heard their breakfast options are spectacular, but I’ve never had a chance to try them. They have some excellent street tacos, some decent tacos al carbon, and some nice seafood options as well. If you want Americanized tacos or upscale unique combinations, head to a Taco Cabana or a Torchy’s Tacos, but if you want authentic street tacos, this is the place for you.

I’ve had better, but definitely had worse. Good pastor, barbacoa is ok, kinda fatty. Service was fine. Would eat here again and would recommend.

We have finally found our Mexican Breakfast joint. The service is great, the food is excellent with good portions, and the Modelo Especial is cold.

Yes! Street tacos! These are amazing, I ate here twice! The chips and salsa were good, and service was great. I was so happy to find a gem like this. The food was authentic and menu in Spanish. They do not have tamales here, which was a little bit of a letdown. The tacos were delicious! I recommend for sure!

MOJARRAS!!! Last nights catch was lightly fried and delicious. The fish was just the right amount of crispy on the outside but the inside was sooooo moist and succulent! Service was great even thought we ordered Togo, very clean and quiet atmosphere.

If you want fancy, upscale tacos(and sometimes I do), head to Torchy’s or Velvet Taco. But if you want traditional, delicious, and authentic tacos, check out one of the Taquerias Arandas locations! I spent a lot of time in San Antonio growing up, and lived there as an adult, and the tacos from Taquerias Arandas remind me of the quality of breakfast tacos I would eat there! This is the kind of place my Mexican grandfather who lives in San Antonio would feel right at home in! I picked up 40 tacos this morning to take as a treat for my coworkers, and everyone was blown away by the quality and authenticity of the tacos. Even the salsas were a hit! Only reason it’s not a 5? They packaged the tacos in groups of 3, rather than individually which made it hard to split among the office! I’ll definitely go here for tacos next time!

We’ve driven by a plethora of different restaurants bearing this same name, this was our initial but not last visit. Really good food for a very reasonable price, we ordered one of their smaller mango margaritas, it was huge and only $ 3.99. My wife enjoyed the ground beef quesadillas, our son Matt highly recommended the el pastor pork tacos, he was so right, they were tender and tasty… as well as the charro beans.

The rice taste like is came from the box and I’m pretty sure the refried beans came from the can. But I have to remind myself that I’m in Houston.

My visit here was completely accidental, as I was supposed to have a meeting at the starbucks across the street, but there was insufficient parking. Someone ended up suggesting Arandas. I told him let me go ahead and check Unilocal, and what did I see? A positive endorsement from the main man Sheldon H. So I continued to say let’s do it. I took Sheldon’s advice and ordered tacos, fish tacos to be exact and for the price… they were A1. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like about this place. I won’t say this is as good as it gets, but I will say I’m a fan and will return when I need mexican food in my life.

This was a pleasant surprise. I had Huevos Rancheros, bacon and corn tortillas. My son had Huevos Mexicanos. Both were delicious! Friendly service and a bill for only $ 9.71!

This location has fast service either at takeout or dine-in. The tacos al carbon are very edible, as are the Hawiian chicken tacos with pineapple. Fajitas are available in several forms, as one would expect in Houston. There is a full range of Mexican and American sodas. I am not crazy about the refried beans or charros, and the rice is pretty plain. The free nachos are tasty and usually get refilled if you ask. Parking is a bit weird but plentiful, with one giant speed bump if you go behind the place.

This is one of my favorite staple taquerias in town. Food is awesome for the price. I always get the 5 tacos, which is the best version of a mini taco dish I’ve had. Their green sauce is the best — I wish I could by it by the gallon. Place isn’t fancy, but super cozy.

This place isn’t fancy by any means, but if you’re looking for some good, cheap Mexican food, then you’re at the right place! The beef quesadillas are juicy, cheesy and so so delicious! Let’s just say I ate more than I was hungry for simply because they were SO yummy! Also, the margaritas are big and yummy too. Our meal with 2 entres and 2 margaritas came out to be under $ 30. We’ll be back ;)
