I would give 0 stars if I could! Most ridiculous DMV I have ever been to in my life! Waited 2 hours the first time for them to send me home to get more proof of residence. Came back and saw a different clerk and they wouldn’t take the papers that the original clerk said were valid! Beware! Different clerks accept different proof! I spent a total of 2 days and 4 trips just to change my Ls from TN to TX.

Here again. Wait not so long. Employees are pleasant with each other and the folks coming in. Even the nasty ones. Nice to deal with civil servants that treat you with dignity and respect. Thanks again guys.

Actually not a bad experience. Like most DPS locations, there was a long line waiting at the door before opening. Unfortunately is not one of the locations with online check in. The staff was friendly and seemed efficient as the line moved quickly. The gentleman that processed my application was made the whole experience smooth. All in all, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

The main purpose of the women sitting behind a front desk there is to turn people away. They’re like robots, used to repeating the same sentences, unable to use even a fraction of their brain matter.
Came in today– my daughter needed to get driving permit. Two months ago she got her state ID– yet, they’re still requiring a proof of address.
Most kids don’t have bills in their name. If we provided sufficient proof of address just recently, and the address is on her brand new state issued ID, why do we have to do this all over again?
Don’t these offices keep sufficient records?
Plus, this place is a dump. There are not enough seats for everyone. Today was a full room. Few people were sitting on the floor.
I’d rather get a tooth pulled than go to DMV. Ugh!

This is the second time I have been to this location and their service (at least for me) is nice, fast, and friendly. They also had lots of easy parking. I spoke with Lydia and she was very sweet. All you have to do is be nice with them and they’ll be nice back. I would strongly recommend going to this location.

I can’t really type this review without sounding like somebody with tourette’s syndrome but if you’ve actually had to wait in any of these places you can pretty much guarantee yourself you might never come out a normal person again. No offense to anybody that knows or has tourette’s syndrome just the only thing I can think of when I remember this place, sue me.
Take a number, wait, wait… wait…scratch your head, wait… curse because your battery on your fully charged phone ran down because you had to entertain yourself… wait more… get up to the desk with the condescending clerk that is there because she knows that you need her, not the other way around, fill out some more paperwork… wait.,…wait… finally get out and burn rubber. Why can’t these people be nice in here or have a little apathy? Oh yea, you need them, they don’t need you I got that.

One of the worst facility. I’m from NYC and I miss the DMV there. Plan on spending at least 3 hours!

I wonder why every government office has that smell in it? You know that smell like people just get up out of bed and come to sit and smell up the place? Yup the same here. I actually thought it would be different since people would be paying money for a service instead of expecting a hand out, but nope that government smell was there.
Thank God for first service, in and out in last than 30 minutes got my drivers license renewed and I won’t be back for another eight years. Woohoot

Not bad, not bad at all.
I was planning on getting there at 8am, but I decided to snoozed a little longer. I got to the DPS roughly around 10:15, got my forms, chatted with a guy standing next to me and my number was called within a 20 – 25 minute frame. The process was easy (vision test if you wear glasses or contacts and a finger printing method then picture) you will also pay after your picture is taken. Mine was $ 25 to renew and change address.
This place is fair of cleanliness, but would hope to have more chairs by the entrance since the lobby was filled. I was lucky to have the lady at the far left. She was nice and in a good mood. Can’t say much about the others. The receptionist was nice as well. (I know the last thing we want to do is deal with rude employees. No problem here!)
An employee announced that there is a NEW DPS (hours are diff– and about 15 mins from Grant Rd) location off of Spring Cypress and Kuykendahl, it was 30 stations and 40 working employees (something like that) and they also tell you how much longer till your turn if you call the number and request a spot. I was lucky enough to not take the route since my number was being called next. The guy that I was chatting with called and said his wait time is 20 mins at this new location and they will call him once his number is next so he canceled his wait time here at Grant Rd. I suggest going to this location for a faster pace especially if you are registering for a new driver license because it will take time.
BTW, the guy’s number was 416 and the number on the screen was only at 206 so he had a long way to go and it would take him up to 3 hours to be seen. Just a heads up!
The good thing is you can also check in online to make an appt for all services!

So.slow. I came one Friday afternoon and basically every 16 year old in the Cy-​Fair area was here to get their drivers license. I waited about 1.5 hours to get my picture taken for my new license. When my number was actually called, it took less than 3 minutes for the whole thing to go down.
Staff was friendly and pretty quick.

Slow!!! Other then that its a DPS office. Everyone is helpful and very nice

This place is very slow, been here for 3 hours and still waiting… never took over an hour to renew license at any other DMV. very sad…

Slow! We have been here over 3 hours and predict another hour before our number is called. We are here to trade in current out of state licenses for Texas licenses. We arrived at 10:30. An opening time arrival would probably be better! I am glad I can renew my license online next time. Ladies seem to be working as fast as they can! I think more people need to be hired for the busier days.
