Established in 2012.

Texas Mattress Makers is a family owned and operated business in Houston, Texas. Although only recently established, TMM is the daughter company of furniture wholesaler Noah’s Manufacturing which has been in production since 1989. After over 25 years of supplying mattress retailers nationwide, our founder began to notice industry leaders’ lack of regard for the consumer’s best interests. This concern later developed into the idea to begin offering higher quality products direct to the public from the manufacturer and Texas Mattress Makers was born.

Compared to all the reviews, we did not receive quite the experience. We had checked out the website first & of course Unilocal,very excitedly went to the store where we were underwhelmed. Did not receive a look at the making process, were only shown 2 mattress & despite better judgement purchased 2 full size mattresses for our sons. The prices were OK & delivered on time but knocked one mattress so hard into our ceiling fan it now wobbles & makes a loud knocking noise & man handled the mattresses by slamming them around. After 2 weeks we have noticed major indentions from being slept on by my teens as if we had the mattresses for years not weeks. Will shop around more elsewhere before making our other mattress purchase we were planning.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. From a TV ad, I researched their website and read stellar reviews on Unilocal.I am pleased to add my own stellar review. No phony sales pitches, no hype, just thoughtful questions on the part of the sales person and the owner, who actually came out to welcome me. The two mattresses they recommended were among the two I had chosen from their website. I immediately knew that they were interested in what I wanted for my particular needs. I expected to pay much more, but I paid less for more, more service, more quality, more value! Everything, including the delivery, was first rate. I slept wonderfully the first night, and I will for many, many more.

fantastic experience. My salesman, who may have been owner, asked few questions and knew exactly what I needed. He showed me medium priced sets and didn’t even try to sell his top of the line. He was about serving the customer. I mentioned I was a vet and he made me a deal. I like supporting local business owners and sending money to China.

I went to Texas Mattress Makers after reading all of the 5 star reviews. I wasn’t even going in expecting to buy mattresses, I was just going to «look». My mom says I like to look with a credit card in my hand, but that’s another story. I was intrigued about having my mattress made locally and helping our local economy. The mattresses are of good quality and there is something for everyone’s price range. I was helped as soon as I walked in, told the salesman my budget and then I got to laying on some mattresses. Well I decided on a good set. I have a really bad back and cannot have a soft mattress. I paid for my mattress set and it was to be delivered on Tuesday (I shopped on a Saturday). It was supposed to be anyway. I got some mattresses delivered on Tuesday, but they weren’t what I ordered. I didn’t notice it until I went to put my new sheets on them. The model number was different from what I ordered. I called the store and person who answered said the mattresses that were delivered were «better» than the ones I ordered. If you are a consumer then you know just because something is more expensive doesn’t make it «better». Which was the case with these mattresses. He said, «Oh just sleep on them a couple nights and if you like them we won’t charge you for the overage.» Um, if it had been a car, that may have been a good deal, but in this case it was NOT. I slept on them Tuesday night. Woke up with terrible back pain on Wednesday. I called up to the store at 8:00 AM wanting to return the mattresses and get what I paid for and someone was supposed to call me back, they didn’t. So by 3:00 PM, I was LIVID. I called back to ask, I mean to TELL them to come pick up the crappy mattresses and just give me back my money. The saving grace and the ONLY reason I gave them 5 stars? Lax. I told him what happened and how I wanted my money back. He apologized and said he had not heard about the mis-​delivery until then and had my CORRECT mattresses on a truck within the hour. That right there is EXCELLENT customer service. I do realize that things happen, but make it right. Don’t just try to pacify me by telling me I am getting «better» when what I wanted was what I paid for.

All the 5 star reviews convinced me to give Texas Mattress Makers a visit. On every block there seems to be a mattress store with sale signs so I had to find out what makes these guys different. Two things stand out. One, knowledgeable salespeople like Lax really listen and then they help you evaluate what mattress fits your budget and more importantly, which mattress fits your body. Two, they manufacture great products and make them affordable. I went for a higher end mattress with over 1800 coil count. My wife and I have never slept better. No more flopping around trying to find a comfortable position. And I wake up well rested and I have found I have more energy due to my improved sleep.

I first heard about Texas Mattress Makers on the radio. I found out they are a local company, gave back to the community and to our well deserved veterans! That was my first positive impression. But, it didn’t stop there.
When I first went into the showroom, I was greeted by a pleasant young lady. She took me around and explained the differences between the mattresses. I was convinced I wanted a soft one. She explained it might not be supportive enough. But, I picked a soft one anyway.
As you might guess, the mattress wasn’t supportive enough. I went to the store to explain my problem and see if there was anything they would do since it was my decision on the mattress. That is when I met Lax. He went right to work finding me a new mattress. He asked me many question regarding the issues I was having with my current mattress, the position I slept, and what I thought I wanted in my next mattress. He had me lay on different ones. I told him what I liked and didn’t like while he was assessing my spinal alignment on each one.
He was very patient with me. Never rushing me for a decision. When I finally decided, we went to write up the order. Lax said it would be delivered that Saturday. As I was getting out my credit card to pay the difference between the mattresses, he said, I am not charging you the difference until you see if you like it. After you sleep on it for 3 – 4 weeks, then come back to settle up if it is working for you. Who does that in today’s
market!!!
TMM has the best customer service. They explain the product so you can make an informed decision all the time keeping your budget in mind! Truly the customer is always first!
Just one more positive. The gentlemen that delivered the mattresses were on time, quick and left nothing behind!

Thank you, Unilocal: thanks to you guys, we decided to buy a mattress from these folks! And here’s why:
When you go someplace like Gallery Furniture, you’ll see a bowling alley and a fancy showroom… but who pays for that? Ultimately, the customer: you’re paying for it, in the form of higher prices. You’re paying for the free food and that bowling alley… but are you trying to buy a bed or subsidize a freakin’ furniture carnival? Not us. We wanted a good bed, and were willing to pay for it… but we didn’t want anything else. Just. A. Bed.
And so we looked at Tuft and Needle, Casper and Purple (and if that ain’t a freaky looking chick in that commercial…). But we already had a foam bed and hated it: we wanted a real, regular bed with springs… Was that too much to ask for?
And so we made our way down to Second Ward: once inside the showroom (literally, across the hallway from the factory floor!), a fella asked us how we slept (side, stomach, back?), and showed us some mattresses that fit our style…
And our style, apparently, was the River Oaks mattress: dear Lord God Almighty, that thing is INSANELY comfortable! My wife and I laid on it, snuggled up as we would at night, and sighed… And then he told the price (the same as Casper, etc., but with a gel top and fancy springs and angels gently playing harps inside…). And we knew we had definitely made the right decision, and bought that thing with the quickness… I can’t wait for Tuesday (when they’ll be delivering it)! I seriously never thought I’d be so happy about a freakin’ mattress, but this was really, really good…

I was recommended to this place from a coworker. I ordered what was in my budget, came in to get it on the day they said it would be ready, turns out they forgot to make the mattress. Immediately the owner let me pick whatever mattress I wanted that was in stock (regardless of the price) to correct the mistake. By far the best customer service I’ve experienced when purchasing any type of furniture or mattress.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I researched a lot before going to Texas Mattress Makers and had two mattresses in mind that I wanted to look at. I was nicely met at the door and greeted by a man who I explained what I wanted to look at. Showed me the beds, explained the differences between models, and showed the cut-​away sections on the wall with the different designs of springs and construction. Actually settled on a better mattress that was out of my price range some, but the owner made a good deal on it. My bed, Dublin Plush Deluxe Mattress, was made the day before right there in their adjoining factory.
Tips:
— When you get the mattress home, take the plastic wrap off outside and let it breath for a while as it will have a smell.
— Break in the mattress! My mattress was, initially, too firm for me, so take time to lay on it for a nap during the day to «Break it in» and soften the mattress before sleeping at night.
My first nights sleep on my mattress was not good as the mattress was too firm, but it softened up after the first night. Now I sleep great all through the night.
I like supporting local, American businesses. That’s jobs in Houston and a good night sleep. A win, win.

It was time to get a new mattress and my wife suggested we check out The Texas Mattress Makers. I looked them up on Unilocal and honestly was leery of all the 5star reviews. Seemed too good to be true.
After seeing the beds offered in the showroom and talking to the sales staff, especially the owner Youvall. I was sold.
Bought the mattress on a Sunday, they told me it would be delivered on Thursday and it showed up right on time. After two weeks of sleeping on this cloud of luxury I know I made the correct decision.

I promised them I would write a review because we had such a fabulous mattress-​buying experience. I waited a few months to make sure I was 100% satisified with my mattress, and I finally feel ready to share that I am. My boyfriend and I visited the warehouse just to look around when we decided we were ready to upgrade to a king. The staff was helpful but not at all pushy. Since they make the mattresses right there at the factory, no one tries to upsell or finagle you. We found a mattress we kinda liked, but while we were lying on it, our salesperson approached and asked us to tell him about our sleep styles. I’m a back sleeper and my boyfriend is a side/​stomach sleeper, so he moved us from the really fancy, expensive mattress to a cheaper one that was better suited to our contrasting sleep styles. Who does that?!
We decided to think about it and come back so that we felt confident in our decision. They checked to make sure I would be able to finance the mattress (they do interest-​free financing though Synchrony Bank, which I’ve used before) and gave us the name of the mattress on a pamphlet so we could just come back and pick it right out.
Our actual buying experience was perfect. They had us relax on the mattress for a while, gave us instructions on what to do when we got it home (since I’m little they suggested running up and down my side to soften it a little) and sat down to do the paperwork. The store was having a special to celebrate their anniversary so we got a discount off the mattress, plus a low delivery fee since we live pretty close. The delivery guys came two days later, set up the frame and assembled the low-​profile box spring and put the SUPER heavy mattress on top.
Finally, the mattress. We got the Rome king-​size and it is heavenly. Memory foam/​gel hybrid layer on top of small comfort coil springs on top of more memory foam on top of tall comfort coil springs. It doesn’t get super hot like regular memory foam, and it’s just enough mushy give for me as a back sleeper but enough support for my boyfriend to sleep on his stomach without his back arching too far. We both adore the mattress and are totally satisfied with our entire buying experience.
Go to this place. Buy their products. Go back. They are local and amazing and deserve all the success in the world.

What is better than getting the milk directly from the cow? Or, in this case, the bed from the maker? Texas Mattress Makers is the offshoot of Noah’s Manufacturing, a company that has been making mattresses and furniture in Houston for almost 30 years. Originally, they sold to retail, but three years ago, they opened a showroom at their factory to sell directly to the public.
We had some special needs. My husband is a big guy and has a bad back. We were going to buy something kind of middle range and my husband asked if the bed would last. Suddenly, a tall thin man, said, «absolutely not!» We found out that he was the owner, Youval. He explained what type of mattress would last and would be best for my husband’s needs. The coolest thing was that since they make the mattresses there, he told our sales person what specifications to put in the order to have the bed be even be more specific to our needs. We visited on Sunday. The bed will be made by Wednesday, and delivered on Thursday! And it has a 10 year, non prorated guarantee! I highly recommend.

I have purchased from Texas Mattress before but that was online and it was in preparation for guests that would be staying with me for a bit and they would pay me back for the mattress. Still a good experience, BUT it is on the recent purchase of a new mattress that I got to see their customer service shine.
I went to their showroom right next to the factory. I don’t remember the sales person name but I picked a mattress and planned on picking it up 3 days later. When I went to pick up the finished mattress, one of the guys went to get the mattress and realized they built the wrong one. Wonk wonk. Before I had a chance to get upset, he told me they built a higher grade and I could take it, if I liked it (at no additional charge) or they would build the mattress I did order and have it delivered to me that afternoon. Well I took the higher grade mattress. Turned out it was TWICE as much I spent.
I work in Customer Service, so I know it when I see it. First, they acknowledged they made a mistake and apologized. Second, they gave me options on how they would make it right. And they did!
My son loves his new bed.
I would recommend this place to anyone.

We had an excellent experience at TMM. They have a wide selection of beds and are quick to identify the right one for you based on your needs. The staff is very friendly. We were assissted by Lax, who was very knowledgable and helpful as he explained the science behind the mechanics of the different beds. He gave us time and the comfort of knowing they would be willing to work with us if for some reason or other the mattress we chose didn’t work out as we hoped.
