I had a couple good haircuts at this place recently and so I went there today and signed my name on the list. I could have made an appointment but it was a spontaneous decision to get my haircut today. Once I had signed up on the list and requested for David, this lady(I don’t remember her name) came to me and said I am next on his list so the wait time will be about 20 – 30 minutes. I was ok with it but once he was done with that customer, he had someone waiting for him so I waited a little bit more and I was again told I am next. After waiting for 1 hour, David came to me and said he had another appointment so if I want my haircut, I will have to wait 30 more minutes. I got really pissed and walked out of there. Never going there again. I felt I was misled by the lady a couple times when she said my turn was next and kept me waiting. They have poor communication among their stylists and lack professionalism and courtesy.

As a former hairstylist of 17 years retired, I’ve always been Leary of chain salons. I went in for Mrs. Lidia to cut my hair and it was perfection. She’s very detailed, and precise. She’s got the skills of a stylist who’s been doing this for a long time, which she prob has. Been to her a couple of times and will not go to anyone else. She’s awesome!

One of the worst customer service that you can get. I signed in & sat down. Not one stylist welcomed or attended to me immediately.

I had made a complaint with the BBB because I had not heard anything further about my refund and they refused to answer to the BBB!!! Obviously would NOT recommend going here… ever! Unless you want very poor customer service(if thats what you even choose to call it) and a crappy haircut!

I get a pretty standard mens cut. 1 ½ sides and back finger length on top. Blend Blend Blend. Stopped there today regardless of most reviews. David did a wonderful job. Littler higher sideburns than I like but will grow back. The important thing is the blending. And its even all over. Its convenient. On the way home from work. Close to everything.

My usual place was closed and I needed a haircut BADLY so I pulled into this place and hoped for the best. I had Keisha, who was extremely nice and did a fantastic job. I had a lot of damaged hair to cut and am growing out my bangs, so she had to do a real cut and not just a trim. I was a little nervous but it really looks great! She listened to what I said and helped me decide what to do. I did walk out with some expensive shampoo, but only because I specifically asked; she didn’t pressure me at all. I would DEFINITELY see her again!

I wanted my ends trimmed. I said look at the long layers it has now and just trim them. He cut it and while wet asked me if it was ok. I had had my eyes closed for most of the cut because I love to relax while getting a cut. I went home and as it dried saw huge«steps» in my hair. He cut a layer in and then didn’t bother to blend it. I had a huge section on the left side of my face that looked like I had just cut into it without thinking. Nothing was blended. He told me he had 6YEARS of experience. He had a MASTERSTYLIST sticker on his mirror. WHATINTHEHELL??? David, a master he is not. This label is seriously misleading. Horrified, I called and scheduled with my usual Marisella in the Heights on Yale. She KNOWS how to cut hair. She does a fantastic job and I will NEVER go anywhere else. This chain is obviously hit or miss. They need continuing education classes for their stylists!!! If I could give this specific store experience zero stars I would.

I went to TGF today for a shampoo and blowout, thinking it would be a good way to save some money over the $ 35 style bars that abound in West U. The $ 20 price quoted over the phone seemed reasonable. I was greeted and taken back for a shampoo immediately when I arrived. But the style was a cursory blow dry, nothing better than I could have done at home. And the price was increased to $ 33 at checkout. I left wishing I had sprung for a professional stylist.

My first experience here wasn’t a good one, there was a guy who was really rude about my hair(it’s really long, down my back.) I explained that I wasn’t trying to be rude, but I’d rather wait for someone else. I got lady named Selina. She is incredible at cutting hair. I wouldn’t say my hair is hard to cut, but since it’s thinner and so long, it needs layers a certain way to make it look right. I have never had to ask her to touch anything up or even get nervous about it. I go to her every few months. I was out of town months back and got it cut in Austin and the lady butchered it, but Selina to the rescue, she was able to fix it without cutting all my hair off. She is amazing. The other people here, in my experience, aren’t as good. I almost feel bad about sharing this, she always has a line out the door and I don’t want to have to wait hours to get my hair cut, but she deserves the kudos!

When I go to this place, I only see the stylist, Judy. Judy has many many years experience cutting hair. She’s not your average strip-mall stylist. She actually studies it and keeps up with the trends and will tell you about what she’s doing to your hair while she’s doing it. She takes real pride in her work and spends time on the small details of your haircut. I’m only rating this place three stars because the rest of the hair stylists are really quite terrible. I would suggest calling ahead and make an appointment with Judy.

Got a $ 25 trim. Nothing special. The girl took forever and seemed like she was new to her craft. It came our looking fine just took her some time.

This is the second time in a row that the haircutters here have tried to sell me the incredibly expensive Nioxin for thinning hair. I’m guessing the manager is pushing them to sell products to every customer. The haircutter not only kept pushing the product on me, but was ‘grilling me’ to find out what products I’m using now. Then they told me how over-the-counter hair products aren’t the same as salon products. At this point I was furious, and basically stopped chatting. Call me crazy, but I don’t really appreciate being told that I’m going bald, and having high-pressure sales tactics forced on me. Especially when the person doing it is cutting my hair, and I have no option but to sit there and put up with their rudeness. Right before paying the bill, they actually had the audacity to ask me if I was interested in purchasing the Nioxin. Sadly, I had to tell them«no». Not so sadly, I won’t be returning anytime in the not too distant future.

Was referred here by a friend and should have followed his advice. I dont remember the name of the lady who cut my hair, but i dont think i will be going back. I left thinking the lady did an ok job, good enough for a place like TGF. after washing my hair at home, i noticed that one side was left longer than the other. Its not horrible, and its something i can hide just by using gel, but come on. Think its too late to get my tip back?

TGF… Default haircut place. But this place does a consistent job. The manager’s name is Jolie and she’s awesome. She hands out coupons and give discounts to regulars. Come on Tuesdays for a 11 dollar haircut.
